Chapter 417: Chapter 417: No Forgiveness

Tanya’s face was calm: "Okay. Let’s go now. I remember what happened that day very clearly."

Upon hearing this, Vincent felt a chill in his heart. He knew that Tanya would not forgive Yvonne this time, no matter what.

"Tanya—" Vincent wanted to step forward, but an impatient Felix pulled Tanya behind him, standing coldly in front of Vincent.

"Anything else?" His icy tone prompted the guards outside to quietly place their hands on their guns.

Joy, who was listening to music and doing her homework, sensed the tense atmosphere among the adults. The music stopped, and she trotted over, a bit timidly.

"Uncle Kendall, please don’t argue with Daddy, okay?"

With such a small figure suddenly stepping between the two confrontational men, along with Joy’s soft and fearful demeanor, much of the hostility on both sides dissipated.

Felix managed a somewhat gentle smile at Joy.

"Uncle Kendall isn’t arguing with your daddy. We’re just discussing something."

Vincent bent down and picked Joy up into his arms, looking past Felix at Tanya behind him.

Just when Tanya thought Vincent would use their children as leverage to make her let Yvonne off the hook again, she heard him speak.

"Tanya, I’m not here to hold anything over you. I know some things, Yvonne did go too far." Vincent chuckled self-deprecatingly, "Actually, you were right before; she’s no longer a child. She should have learned to take responsibility for her actions long ago. Over the years, we’ve spoiled her. Anyway, whatever decision you make, whether to forgive her, I’ll bring her over to kneel and apologize to you. If not, then she has to face the consequences herself."

Tanya was slightly stunned, she didn’t expect Vincent to actually change.

Vincent didn’t expect Tanya to respond to him, he just told Joy: "Joy, say goodbye to mommy."

Joy looked towards Tanya reluctantly, "Daddy, I haven’t slept with mommy for so long... Can I stay?"

Hearing this, Tanya’s nose tingled, almost bringing tears to her eyes.

Vincent: "No, sweetheart, mommy’s not feeling well right now. She needs a few days to rest. After mommy gets better, you can keep her company, alright?"

Joy nodded obediently and stretched out her arms to be held, which Tanya, of course, did not refuse.

"Mommy, get well soon. Brother and I miss you a lot."

Tanya finally managed a smile, hugging her daughter tightly, her eyes sore.

"Okay..." Tanya promised hoarsely, "Mommy will get better."

Vincent left the hospital with Joy.

Back in the car, Joy fastened her seatbelt dutifully.

Vincent picked up his constantly vibrating phone, glanced at it, and saw it was messages from Yvonne, who had sent over ten, asking about his meeting with Tanya.

Just as he was about to reply, Yvonne ran out of patience and called him directly.

Vincent rubbed his throbbing temples and picked up.

"Hello—"

"Brother! Have you finished talking with Tanya? How did it go? Did she decide to forgive me?" Yvonne said somewhat reluctantly, "Fine, I’ll apologize to her then. But it’s not entirely my fault, who asked her to purposely show off Felix’s affection for her when she knows I like him!"

Listening to Yvonne, Vincent felt his temples throb even more.

Even at this critical juncture, she still didn’t see her own faults. It’s always someone else’s problem!

Vincent’s expression turned increasingly grim, suddenly fed up with endlessly cleaning up Yvonne’s messes.

He took a glance at Joy in the rearview mirror, covering the phone.

"Joy, Daddy is going out to take a call. Be good."

"Okay." Joy nodded obediently.

Vincent opened the car door and stepped out, walking to the front of the car, turning his back on the interior, finally letting his voice turn cold.

"Tanya doesn’t agree to forgive. She should be making statements to the military right now."

"What did you say?!" Yvonne was utterly shocked, "What do you mean she doesn’t agree to forgive? Does she really want me thrown in jail, to ruin me?! Brother, I’m your only sister!"

Vincent shouted angrily: "It’s not Tanya who wants to ruin you, Yvonne, it’s you who have destroyed yourself from start to finish!"
