Chapter 1456: Did I Farm Enough?
In the end, I only bothered to find one admission slip after beating an entire crowd of them up.
I figured this was enough and I should have showcased my capabilities at an acceptable enough standard that the heads of departments would be able to see my skills for what they were.
Odeta was still running around and beating people up, judging by the screams and her signature laughter roaring through the interior of the building.
Incidentally, it seems like nothing can be damaged here because even after all of my bombardment, the buildings showed no signs of damage which, I’m pretty sure, under normal circumstances would have already been flattened.
I reached the bridge to find Delmare sitting where she said she would be at the beginning, only to realise that there were several prospective students knocked out around her.
I glided over to her, landing with a soft thump as I furled my wings behind me and let them sink back into my back while I let my tail snake back under my skirt.
I looked down at the unconscious students, "What happened here?"
Delmare smiled, "They tried to attack me so I had to fight back, Aster. Don’t worry, I am not hurt."
I let out a breath that I didn’t know I was holding, "That’s good. Are you sure you’re not hurt?"
"Yes, Aster. They did not even manage to touch me."
Good.
I went over to Delmare and I realised her gaze was locked on my chest, reminding me there was still something there.
I reached up my hand and pulled out the admission slip that I had found and smiled ironically at it, wondering what I should do with it.
"What are you going to do with it, Aster?" Delmare asked, mirroring my exact thoughts.
"I don’t know... What can I even do with it? It’s kind of useless to us, isn’t it?"
"Mmm... Maybe you can offer it to someone if they complete a challenge?"
I turned to raise an eyebrow at her, "A challenge? Like what?"
She tapped her cheek thoughtfully, "Maybe--"
"Like making you cum with their mouth!"
I jumped at the unexpected voice coming from behind me, turning around to see Lisa standing there with a wide grin on her face.
I swatted at her, "What are you doing here? Don’t you need an admission slip to pass?"
She smirked, "Mmm... What are you talking about, Aster? Aren’t you holding one for me right there?"
I looked at the admission slip in my hand before turning to raise an eyebrow at her, "I thought you girls didn’t want me to help you get any?"
"Oh, that was just Katsuki saying it, right? I never agreed to it~ So how about it? I suck you off for an admission slip? Mmm... Please professor? I’ll make you feel really good~ Just let me pass this test? Pretty please? I’ll do anything to pass~"
She even placed her finger on her lips and fluttered her eyelashes at me.
Just a quick reminder... She was my Lumenmancy and Alchemy teacher and she would constantly make me do lewd stuff with her for ’extra credits’.
And for the record, there’s actually no such thing as extra credits for the school system. What she meant for the ’extra credits’ was giving me extra kisses... Which ironically was something she wanted more than I did anyway but I’m just happy to give her.
Honestly, I was almost sold by her performance and was just about to say yes to her when Katsuki suddenly appeared.
"Lisa. The rules state that we can only take one admission slip. If you try to take another one, you will be disqualified."
Lisa’s face instantly changed into a pout and reached into her own bosoms to pull out an admission slip, "Come on. I could just suck her off and then not take the slip anyway. Why did you have to ruin it, Katsuki?"
"Because we are still in a test, Lisa. And you will put Mistress in danger if you do that."
Lisa scoffed, "Oh please. You will stop us from being interrupted, won’t you? Come on, Aster~ Just a little bit?"
I wordlessly pointed at the bridge.
Lisa pouted cutely at me so I went ahead to give her a kiss on her lips.
That seemed to satisfy her as she giggled and skipped towards the bridge.
The admission slip in her hand then glowed before engulfing her in a flash of light, making her disappear from sight.
Katsuki turned to me, "Mistress. You were especially awe-inspiring with how you dealt with your attackers earlier."
I wasn’t even surprised that Katsuki was watching... Then again, I was quite literally in the centre of the island so I’m pretty sure everyone around saw me raining down spells all around me.
I looked back at the plaza I had flown from and I couldn’t help but voice out my concerns.
"This test... It’s not as straightforward as they say it is, right?"
I noticed Katsuki’s tail wagging slightly, "It is not, Mistress."
I figured...
As I thought, this test would not make sense for those looking to enroll for the purpose of learning more... Theoretical subjects.
My guess is that this was just the first test and for those who fail it, there will be another test for them afterwards. Especially for those who are looking to enroll to learn the crafting skills.
If I’m not wrong, I saw several rooms inside the building closer to the bridge that looked like classrooms where people might be able to take written tests. And when I passed through them earlier, I’m pretty sure I smelt what could be a forge and even an alchemy room somewhere inside that building as well.
I could go and check but... It’s not like I’m going to need to go through their second test since I am one of the confirmed students to begin with anyway...
I nodded at Katsuki to show I understood and instead of going to the end of the bridge, Katsuki stayed by my side.
I turned to her, "Umm... You can go turn in your admission slip, Katsuki."
She bowed her head, "My place is right beside you, Mistress."
"You might get your slip stolen..."
"If someone manages to steal it from me, then I don’t deserve to stand by your side, Mistress."
I wonder why she’s acting so serious about this test?
Delmare looked over to her, "It’s ok, Katsuki. I am here with her. You should just turn in the slip or else you might risk losing your place beside Aster."
Katsuki looked like she was going to protest but I turned back to her, "It’s ok, Katsuki. Go on. I would much rather be safe about this."
She paused before bowing her head, "As Mistress commands."
She then disappeared from where she stood and the only sign that she had done what I told her to do was a flash of light coming from the bridge.
I looked back at Delmare right as she did a guts pose but she quickly straightened herself to smile up at me, making me think I was imagining it.
"Is something wrong, Aster?" She asked innocently.
"No, not at all."
"Then... Umm... Sit... Sit with me?"
She patted the railing that she was seated on.
I joined her and she quickly moved to cuddle herself against me, sighing in contentment and making me wonder if this was supposed to be a private date with her or an admissions test for Aerialla Academy.
That was when I heard a groan coming from the ground and I was reminded of the fact that Delmare had knocked out several students who had tried to attack her.
Turning my gaze, three of them were in the process of getting up and they slowly got to a knee before shaking their heads to recover.
The moment they saw Delmare and me sitting on the railing, one of them tried to rush towards us with a sword that materialised in his hands.
Delmare simply materialised her rapier as well and parried it before thrusting the tip through his throat, ’killing’ him again.
The student’s eyes rolled to the back of his head and Delmare unceremoniously kicked him in the chest to send the unconscious guy flying back to land a short distance away from us, her rapier completely clean of any blood.
She then glared at the other two, "Do you want to end up like that as well?"
The two students said nothing and simply turned and ran off, leaving Delmare and I alone.
"Hmm... Why are they trying to attack you to begin with? You don’t have any admission slips..."
She turned back to me, "Umm... After you left... That woman came back and informed everyone of another rule... They said that if they could defeat a student with the white robes somehow... It would also allow them to pass..."
Ah... Ok... That explains it... They really are cunning I see.
