Chapter 601: Chapter 600: The Final Decision (13)
Bella Acker put the medical report in her bag and got out of the car by the roadside.
She waited for Judy Zimmerman to drive off before taking out her phone, editing a text message, and sending it to Damian Sinclair.
"Damian, I’m giving you only two choices now: to want me or not. If you want me, come meet me at the place where I celebrated your birthday, the same place where we made up after our last breakup. I will wait for you there until I can’t wait any longer. If you don’t come in the end, then I’ll have my answer."
She just wanted to be selfish for herself this time, placing everything on one final bet.
This message was intended to force Damian Sinclair into making a final decision. Choose to be with her against his family’s wishes or choose his family and give her up; this time she gave him only these two options.
After sending the message, Bella Acker turned off her phone, hailed a taxi, and headed to Joyland, where she had celebrated Damian Sinclair’s birthday last time.
Today was not a holiday, so there weren’t many people at Joyland.
Bella Acker bought a bouquet of fresh flowers by the roadside and sat by the flower bed at the entrance of Joyland, waiting quietly.
This was Damian’s last chance to choose, and it was also her own last chance.
Meanwhile, Damian Sinclair’s phone lit up on his desk. Mrs. Sinclair, bringing in some tea, saw that the message was from Bella and immediately frowned.
Mrs. Sinclair picked up the phone, unlocked it with a fingerprint, and checked the message.
"How dare she try to drive a wedge between us! Ridiculous!" Mrs. Sinclair was so angry at the content of the message that she slapped the desk with a loud thud.
Just as Damian returned from the restroom, he saw his mother’s reaction. He quickly stepped forward, grabbed the phone from her hand, and frowned, "Mom, why are you looking at my phone again?"
"If I hadn’t, I wouldn’t have known that Bella Acker dared to do such a thing! She’s deliberately forcing you to break with the family!" Mrs. Sinclair was so angry her face turned red, "Damian, I’m telling you, if you go see her today, I’ll... I’ll jump from here!"
True to her word, Mrs. Sinclair ran out to the balcony of the study in a huff, threatening angrily.
Damian opened the text message and read through it. He knew this was Bella’s final decision.
Either choose her or choose the family—there was no second choice.
"Mom..."
Just as Damian started to speak, Mrs. Sinclair interrupted him, "Bella Acker gave you two choices, and your mother has two for you as well. If you go to see her now, your mother will jump from here as an account to your brother."
"Mom, if my brother were alive, what do you think he would want me to choose?" Damian looked at Mrs. Sinclair and said, "Or you could just leave me no choice, and I’ll jump from here myself!"
With these words, Damian indeed strode toward the balcony, showing every intention of jumping off.
Mrs. Sinclair was startled by his actions and hurriedly grabbed his arm, exclaiming, "Damian! Damian! What are you doing?! Damian!"
"I should be asking you that." Damian turned his head to look at her, "Mom, what exactly do you want to do?"
"I... I..." Mrs. Sinclair was so anxious and scared that she stammered without knowing what to say.
Damian said, "Mom, she’s the only one in my heart. If I had to choose between giving her up and dying, I’d rather choose death."
"Why does it have to be her? Can’t it be Cecilia?" Mrs. Sinclair began to cry, "Every time I see Bella Acker, I’m reminded of your brother; I even wake up from nightmares."
