Chapter 599: Chapter 598: The Final Decision (11)

Bella had no plans to tell anyone in advance about leaving the country.

She continued filming until "Life and Death" wrapped up.

"Don’t come to see me again, I really don’t want to see you." The woman, clearly not yet thirty, with strands of gray in her hair, gave the man standing outside the courtyard gate a cold look, and shut the wooden door. On the wall behind her in the main hall hung a photo of a young man, a comrade who had died in an undercover mission to save everyone.

"Cut! Okay!" Director Simons, holding a megaphone, said, "Bella’s scenes are wrapped up!"

Immediately, a staff member brought a bouquet of flowers to Bella Acker, "Bella, congratulations on wrapping up."

"Thank you, everyone worked hard," Bella accepted the flowers and smiled as she thanked them.

"Come, come, let’s all take a commemorative photo. Say cheese!"

The actors and staff on set gathered around, happily flashing peace signs for the photo.

Bella held the bouquet, tilted her head, and smiled.

After the photo, others said some congratulatory words, then dispersed to continue their work.

Bella turned her head to Archer Quinn beside her, saying, "Senior Quinn, thank you for taking care of me during this time."

Archer Quinn smiled gently, "Bella, you don’t have to be so polite with me, congratulations on the wrap."

It’s not that she was being polite, but rather he was being polite.

Bella pursed her lips into a smile, saying, "Senior Quinn, I don’t want to say things like ’we can still be friends even if we can’t be lovers’, I know that wouldn’t be fair to you. Really, thank you so much during this time, whether in the ’Brocade River and Mountain’ crew, filming the variety show, or during ’Life and Death’, I appreciated all your help. And when Aunt Sienna was in the hospital, thank you for being by my side and helping me. Truly, thank you. I don’t know what else to say, just sincerely hope your future is smooth and everything goes well for you."

Archer Quinn’s eyebrows barely furrowed, her words sounded a lot like a farewell.

"Bella, you..." He wanted to ask if she was going somewhere, but it felt like crossing a line, so he swallowed the words, saying just, "Thank you."

This was the best response that wouldn’t make her feel awkward or embarrassed.

Archer Quinn swallowed the bitterness in his heart, keeping a gentle smile on his face to appear unbothered.

Bella also wanted to properly say goodbye to him, but seeing his expression, she had no choice but to swallow the words.

They stood silently for a while until Archer Quinn spoke first, "Bella, then... I’ll go prepare for the next scene."

"Okay." Bella nodded, "Senior Quinn, goodbye."

"Congratulations on wrapping up, goodbye." Archer Quinn smiled and turned to leave with large strides, worried that if he lingered a while longer, he wouldn’t be able to resist asking about her plans.

His confession had already made things difficult for her; at least now he didn’t want to make her feel awkward.

Bella gathered her things to leave the set. Judy Zimmerman looked back at her, "Bella, should I take you back to your apartment now to pack?"

"I packed my luggage last night. Piggy, I need to go somewhere today, could you please take care of Ethan and take him to the airport tomorrow morning?" Bella shook her head.

"That’s no problem, but you..." Judy hesitated for a moment, "Pay attention to your boarding time."

"I’ll make it to the airport before boarding to meet up with you." Bella smiled, "This is the last time."
