Chapter 89: How dare you act so outrageous?!

"I called you all here to announce that I plan to get married soon. And I... Have found my female."

Silicone followed Noah’s words.

Everyone was beyond shocked. How could he suddenly say something like that after reappearing out of thin air after he had been gone for so many months?

What did he think he was doing?

Had he gone insane, speaking to the elders of the pack and the family like that?

Rhaegar, who could not ask Noah anything after meeting him that morning because he had ordered him to be silent till Noah gave him permission to speak, was also dumbstruck that this was what Noah had to talk about.

Just how could he? Had he hit his head to the point that he no longer knew the regulations of the family? Was he looking to be punished?

How could he be so bold in front of the elders, and his father, the chairman?

He had never done such a thing before so why now?

He glanced at the elders, his plans sweating and his throat running dry. They were terrifying.

To think Noah has the guts to say such a thing in front of them so boldly when he knew that there would be consequences.

To an outsider, Noah did not say anything wrong. He simply said he wanted to get married and he had found who he wanted to be his partner.

But to the members of the Blue Moon Pack, it was a serious offense, especially since he was the Alpha.

The elders know best, was a motto they followed.

So, whatever the elders said was set in stone. It was final. A rule that no one was allowed to break.

And among those rules was the one that said the elders were in charge of picking the females for the Alpha, so he wouldn’t make a mistake and pick someone useless.

The elders knew best, so the females they picked were the ones suitable for the Alpha.

In other words, Noah had no right to pick his female by himself, and he should’ve known that, but what was this?

How dare he boldly step into that place, summon everyone on a festive day like this, and spout such nonsense?

The elders got provoked and started reprimanding him.

"It seems the discipline you received has waned in the time you were absent." One of the elders said.

"How dare you act so outrageous?" Another elder slammed his fist on the table. "You disappear for months and reappear, only to say this?"

"Where have you been, neglecting your duties and feeling entitled?"

They kept talking, kept ranting, and kept using harsh words, but Noah kept his cool, his eyes on his father, who sat in the middle.

His father was silent, his eyes dark as he crushed his knuckles silently. He was waiting for the elders to be done before saying what he had in his mind.

"It seems your son wants to disappoint the pack and the family." One of the elders said to his father and that was Mister Lenovo’s cue to speak.

He glanced up at his son, trying to use his cold and indifferent eyes to intimidate Noah but there was no way they would be able to intimidate a man who had tasted freedom for the first time in his life.

A man who had experienced an undying love.

"We all came out because we heard from the Alpha who had gone missing for almost six months." His father said. "We all thought you had something important to tell us and explain why you hadn’t contacted us even once, putting the entire company in chaos and leaving your position for dogs to covet."

Noah remained silent.

His father’s eyes turned darker as he glared at him, sending out a huge force to intimidate him further, but it didn’t work. Noah was unchanging in his decision and his expression. Thus, his face was calm.

They could do whatever they wanted to but he wouldn’t listen.

His father saw an expression he had never seen on his son’s face before. An expression he didn’t like.

"Noah, it seems being away for so long has made you forget." He said, his voice eerie and demanding. "I won’t blame you this once so retract what you just said."

That’s right. If Noah just said it was a slip of the tongue and apologized on his knees, they would forgive him and act like this never happened. So, he just needed to admit it and...

"I will not."

Noah was stubborn. It was more like he had made up his mind. If he couldn’t live with Michael with the current rule of the family, with the elders still leading the pack even though he was meant to be the one with the highest authority, then he would rather destroy everything.

The rules, the hierarchy, and the elders.

It was his pack now, so he should be able to control it, even the damn elders who were as stubborn as pickle jar lids.

"Noah Lenovo," his father roared, sending out energy waves that shook the chandelier and the foundation.

No matter what, he had still been an Alpha.

"I will not stand your insolence. How dare you refuse?"

"It’s because I can," Noah said, causing his father’s eyebrows to furrow.

"What?"

Noah stepped closer, stood in front of his father and slammed his hand on the table, sending out his own energy waves that pushed his father back on his chair.

Noah didn’t even need to roar to intimidate him and show his strength.

"I said it’s because I can." Noah said, his eyes glowing gold. "Remember, you made me the Alpha, and as the Alpha of this pack, I say that I can do whatever I want, say whatever I want, and give our orders, not take orders."

His words got them furious.

Noah glanced from one furious elder to the other.

"And I expect my words to be the rules," he said, taking his hand back from the desk. "Not yours."
