Chapter 132: Can I wear something other than white?

Doctor Ro put Alyssa to sleep so she would be able to heal quickly. Afterwards, he took her phone and contacted Sebastian.

He had no idea what the rogues were planning and he might be able to get something by pretending to be on their side, but before that, he needed to inform the higher ups of what was going on, so that if things don’t go smoothly, he wouldn’t be the one to blame.

"I always end up cleaning someone’s mess, huh?" He brushed his hair with his fingers.

He took out Alyssa’s phone and sent a message across to Sebastian.

Sebastian was busy with the preparations on the yacht, picking out what Color of suit among the dozens that were prepared for this occasion, would suit Noah more.

He finally decided on the white and handed it to the maids when he received the text from Alyssa’s phone.

His eyes slightly widened and his eyebrows furrowed as he saw this.

’Alpha Noah needs to make a big impression at this party and get most of the executives on his side.’

The executives were all on the chairman’s side and a few of them were the elders of the pack.

They had such great influence that not having them on Noah’s side would be a great detriment to the fight.

He needed to convince them and to do so, he had to be there in person.

But this matter was also urgent. After all, Noah was doing all this for the sake of Michael.

If something happened to Michael, no matter how much progress he had amassed, he would stop and fall into depression.

In other words, the pack’s bright future rested on Michael’s safety.

’But I can’t let him drop everything and fall into a trap.’ Sebastian thought, squeezing his phone. He would have to come up with a plan.

The people who kidnapped Michael were likely the rogues who were after Noah. So, they would contact Noah somehow to let him know that Michael was in their hands and Noah’s mind would fall into chaos.

Love gives strength. But it also creates fatal weaknesses.

It was this weakness that the pack wanted to eradicate from the lives of the Alphas that made them destroy the concept of a fair partnership with their females and make them breeding machines instead.

He massaged his nose bridge.

’I’ll have to do something about this before Alpha Noah finds out. He must not know his beloved got kidnapped.’

"Sebastian," Noah called and Sebastian raised his head, retaining his cold and unwavering expression as he looked at Noah walk out dressed in the white suit he had picked up.

Noah was going to ask him why he had a long face, but then he saw that there was nothing wrong with his expression and changed his question.

"Can I wear something other than white?" He asked.

"Yes, but this best suits you." Sebastian said, plainly. "It’s the new year and a mark for a new beginning so wearing white is like spreading a plain sheet in front of you, preparing to draw a new future. It best suits the occasion." He bowed his head.

Noah looked at the suit in the mirror and guessed it was fine.

But a new beginning without Michael? He didn’t like it. It made his tongue taste sour.

’I wish Noah could see me in this.’ He thought.

"Now, we’ll get the hair stylist to style your hair back and..." He paused as Noah raised his hand.

"No need." Noah said. "I don’t need to slick my hair back." He smiled at his fallen hair in the mirror. "He likes it better with my hair down."

Sebastian saw this and sighed.

No matter how he looked at it, Michael had a great influence on Noah. There was no way Noah would not drop whatever he had going on to go save him.

He might even trade his life for it.

"Then, we shall go with that." He said and clutched his phone.

This issue... They had to fix it as soon as possible.

Meanwhile, Michael kept his head down as he walked along with the rogues, who acted like bodyguards around him.

He raised his head to see where they were headed to but one of the rogues behind him shoved his head down.

"Keep your damn head down." He snarled, and Michael gulped.

He decided not to provoke the rogues further and kept his eyes on the floor, thinking deeply about how messed up this situation was.

But then, without warning, the ones in front stopped, and because he wasn’t watching, he bumped his face into the back of the leader, who turned to sneer at him.

"Sorry," he immediately apologized, scratching the back of his head, hoping they wouldn’t hit him.

Rogues could be very unpredictable, so he needed to watch his steps so as not to fall into harm’s way.

The leader did not say anything but opened the door that was in front of them.

"Get in before I kick ya ass." He said but Michael was hesitant.

If he entered that car now... He glanced back at the guys glaring at him... Where were they taking him?

"For the love of..." One of them behind him got annoyed and shoved him into the car. "You’re not royalty that we need to be careful of so if you don’t want to get roughed up, you better behave and do as we say. You’re out hostage now."

He didn’t need to tell Michael twice for Michael to understand his situation.

"Where... where are you taking me?" Michael asked, but the rogues did not respond to his question and instead got into the car, squeezing him in the middle and suffocating him with their vulgar smell.

It didn’t seem like it was body smell but a rather vulgar and rejected smell. That was how it smelled to him. Was it because they were rogues?

Anyway, they made him uncomfortable.

Was this how Doctor Ro smelled like?

He couldn’t even tell because Doctor Ro never got close enough for him to focus on his smell.

And even when he did come that close, he still could not focus on his smell because of the situation they were in.

"Hey, what’s with that look on your face?" The guy on his left asked. "You look like we make you sick."

"N-no, it’s not..."

"Why? Cause we’re rogues?" The one on the right asked. "We’re not as princely as your dear Alpha?"

They were just coming up with their own conclusions. It would not change anything, even if he tried to explain, so he decided to stay silent.

"Look at this punk, he thinks he’s all that just because he’s some Alpha’s bitch."

They laughed.

"I already know who you are and what you’re after." Michael said. "But I don’t know where you’re taking me. Can you please tell me where... Where are you taking me?" He asked, looking into the rearview mirror and meeting the gaze of the rogue leader who was sitting in the passenger’s seat.

The rogue leader just smiled and said, "You’ll know your fate once we get there."

Michael gritted his teeth. What if his fate was to die as soon as they got there?

He needed to find answers as to what they were planning.

"Still," he continued and the rogue leader frowned. "I feel like I’m going to die any moment, so I want to at least know what’s going on."

The leader snorted. "You’re not going to die... yet. You have a purpose, and you’ll serve it well."

Michael frowned. If he continued to ask, they would definitely beat him up, according to the mood he was feeling.

So, he decided to shut his eyes, clench his fists on his thighs, and wait until he got another chance to ask again.

The car finally stopped, and Michael was dragged out. A cold ocean breeze hit him, and he realized they were close to a dock.

And in front of them was a construction site of a massive building that was still in its early stages.

"You asked where we were taking you, right?" One of the rogues asked, dropping his hand on Michael’s shoulder. "Let’s just say we’re sightseeing but... You’re not included, haha."

"What does that mean?" Michael asked but then his hands were taken to his back and tied with a rope. "What’s going o--hmph!" They gagged his mouth as well and then put a blindfold on him.

"For a hostage, you talk too much." He said but Michael was scared of this situation.

Not being able to see or talk... It was the worst.

The rogue carried him and tossed him over his shoulder.

"There we go. You’re as light as a bird, aren’t ya?"

"Hmm-mmm! Hmph!!" Michael struggled but they only laughed it off.

"What’s the matter? Cat got ya tongue?"

Michael struggled still.

"Tch! If you don’t stay still, I’ll drop you." As soon as he said that Michael stiffened.

If he dropped him, his belly might get affected and his baby... He couldn’t put his baby in danger.

"Ah, that seemed to do the trick. He’s as quiet as a mouse now." He said and they laughed.

It seemed like they did that to prevent Michael from screaming as they walked up the construction site, as well as prevent him from running away, because these places could get complex, and accidents were the norm.

For a hostage, it was only normal to try and use whatever opportunity they had to run away, and in the process, they might end up getting killed by the construction tools, causing the rogues to lose their valuable card in this fight.

Once they had gotten to the top, they put Michael down on a chair that had been prepared.

"Take aff the gag. He might suffocate."
