Chapter 533: Chapter 533 – Flying Island – Part 3.

(Okay... So, he is made out of those spikes? I straight up couldn’t see him at all!) – thought Thanatos as she looked at the massive creature which had its entire body made out of nothing more than spikes, which even had spikes of their own growing out of them.

(Despise having such big body, it is hard to tell if its body is the normal spikes here or not.)

(Is it using some kind of skill to make me hallucinate and make it harder to tell? Or is it just pure camouflage?) – thought Thanatos as the massive rock bug creature thrusted forward one of six legs at Thanatos at the incredible speed, alarming Thanatos as she moved away and parried some of the spikes that came her way, successful avoiding a direct hit.

(Fuck! He is really fast and has a lot of power behind – SHIT!) – Thanatos was forced to dodge another leg, barely avoiding the attack, before then counter attacking with her scythe.

"!"

(Tough!) – thought Thanatos as she realized that the defense of the creature.

(For crying out loud! Are you really upgraded version of the first boss?!) – thought Thanatos as she used poison enchantment skills and shadow enchantment, covering her scythe in shadows and poison, before then rushing at the creature and slashing it in the leg.

"!?"

"OH COMMON!" – shouted Thanatos as she realized that the damage she dealt not as much damage as she hoped for.

"MAGIC RESISTANCE?!" – shouted Thanatos as she was forced to dodge the 3 incoming spiked legs, somehow dodging two legs, but getting pincer attacked by the third one, resulting in Thanatos getting hit right in her left side.

(Fuck! It also can deal alarming amount of damage!) – thought Thanatos as she quickly backed away as the fourth leg came in.

"Yeb... This is freaking annoying."

(Magic resistance? For crying out loud.)

(It is like that freaking rhino.... NO! IT IS EXACTLY THE SAME!)

(That bastard maybe not having the damage reflection, but still! Just being close to those legs, even with my speed, is not something safe.)

(I guess gun user or the bow user would be the best way to deal with him.)

(I have guns... BUT THESE ARE THE MAGIC GUNS!)

(I SHOULD HAD ASKED THAT BASTARD TO MAKE ME REGULAR GUNS TOO!) – thought Thanatos as she was forced to dodge over and over the incoming legs while at the same time counter attacking whenever opening revealed itself to the woman.

"Tch!"

(My attacks are working and it seems also that poison is spreading somewhat.... But this won’t be easy while holding back.) – thought Thanatos as she tried using her [Blood Magic: Blood Bind], unleashing a web of blood to try and keep one of the legs of the creature in place.... Only for the creature to not get even slowed down as it instantly destroyed the web of blood by just moving around.

"!?"

"Oh the fuck is this?" – said Thanatos.

(What the hell is that guy’s gimmick anyway?) – thought Thanatos as she didn’t realized in time that one of the pillars near her were the monster’s legs, which ended up forcing the woman to use her barrier skill to block off the attack.

(Camouflage is definitely one of them.)

(Speed is second thing.)

(But if that guy really has 4 gimmicks, then what are the other two?)

(Is the defense the third gimmick?)

(No. Can’t be sure of that just yet.) – thought Thanatos as she was locked in combat, exchanging blows with the boss monster nonstop, while her own monster tried unleashing range attacks...Which straight up did nothing to the boss monster as the attacks were magic based.

(Speed is 100% it, but the defense I’m not so sure yet.)

(He is tough, but he is taking damage, and good amount of it once I started using stronger attacks.) – thought Thanatos as the number of the wounds that the creature was receiving was slowly increasing, while at the same time the poison type attacks were somewhat working, even if they were weakened by the creature’s resistance, they were still present and somewhat gnawing at the boss monster’s body.

"..."

(But why he isn’t showing them yet?) – thought Thanatos who was on high alert, as she realized that the boss monsters was doing nothing more than thrusting and swinging its massive spiked legs over and over again, without throwing anything new or unique in the mix.

(I should had by now dealt a good chunk of its HP!) - thought Thanatos as she used [Scythe Art: Ripping Blade], launching a devasting strike at one of the exposed joints of the creatures and dealing critical amount of damage to the creature.

(WHY IS NOT DOING-)

However, just as Thanatos tried backing away... She noticed something odd in front of her eyes.

Sparks.

Sparks were straight up coming out from one of the legs of the creature, alarming Thanatos as without hesitation went full speed in order to run away... Which was the best possible call, because in the very next second, the leg of the creature was starting to resale alarming amount of mist.

And in the next moment, the leg of the creature straight up exploded, unleashing rain of spikes in each direction that straight up tore apart anything that gotten in their way.

The natural stone spikes were shattered on the impact alongside the stick bug spikes, while some of the of the monsters working for Thanatos were just ripped apart by the flying projectiles.

"Fuck me! I was not expecting this!" – said Thanatos as she hid behind her barrier of blood, blocking off the attack.

(If I didn’t backed away, I don’t think barrier alone would do it.) – thought Thanatos as she saw the pure devastation near the spot where the leg detonated.

(But still, bastard gotten rid of one of those annoying.... What is he doing?) – thought Thanatos as she noticed a large amount of slime like substance coming out them the joint area attached to the main body, straight up pouring out the greyish blue liquid, which then fortified into a column and then solidified.

Few moments later, the creature moved the massive solid slime, shattering it... And revealing completely brand new spiked limbed.

"..."

"OH, THAT IS BULLSHIT!" – shouted Thanatos.

(HE DETONATED THE ENTIRE LIMB! STRAIGHT UP LEAVING NOTHING BEHIND!)

(AND THEN HE STRAIGHT UP REGENERATED THE WHOLE THING IN FEW SECONDS?!)

"Forgtet camouflage and speed! This fucking gimmick is a straight up cheat!" – shouted Thanatos as the creature began unleashing its spiked legs once again at the vampire, forcing Thanatos on the run.

(Shit! This is way too problematic!)

(He can unleash those detonations without cost?!)

(...Still, his wounds weren’t regenerating.)

(Maybe that gimmick only focuses on restoring lost limbs and not restoring HP?)

(But if that is the case, then does that mean he doesn’t have any HP penalty when losing a limb?)

(This is annoying.) – thought Thanatos as she counter attacked one of the massive legs that came her way, dealing a devastating amount of damage with her scythe while at the same time knocking back the limb... But the creature didn’t cared as it launched more limbs in Thanatos’s way, forcing the woman to back away... But not managing to dodge the attacks perfectly as they ended up grazing her.

"..."

(Should I aim at the main body?)

(I could use the [Blood Mist Run], somehow getting there while being unable to get by... No.)

(That detonation doesn’t seems to damage him, meaning that if I were to get "stuck" there and he would freaking detonate one of its limbs again, I could end up hit directly.)

(Fuck me. That is nasty.) – thought Thanatos as she swung her scythe over and over, pilling up the damage on each of the creature’s legs... Which in turn caused the boss monster to once again release sparks from one of its legs, putting Thanatos on extremely high alert as she ran away as the mist started getting ejected from the leg, fallowed up by the second limb detonation, which once again completely devasted the entire area.

"Fuck me! He can fire it often?!" – shouted Thanatos as she used her shadow barrier this time to block off the flying spikes.

(What should I do?)

(Should I start using some of the stronger skills that I had been saving up?)

(One thing would be if that guy was bit slower, then I could somewhat easily stack up damage over time... But this guy? He is way too fucking problematic.)

(I thought a speed build like mine was a perfect counter for him at first.... But I was wrong.)

(HE IS MY MOST ANNOYING TYPE OF OPPONENT!)

"Tch."

"So it is not really matter of choosing." – said Thanatos as the creature thrusted its leg once again.

Thanatos swung her blade, unleashing massive volume sharp blood which dealt devasting amount to the creature, ripping off the smaller spikes off the legs in the process.

"I really didn’t wanted to do it."
