Chapter 531: Chapter 531 – Flying Island.

(This isn’t really good.) – thought Thanatos as she was unleashing her poison and blood magic, trying to keep the dragon gryphons at bay.

(These bastards also have a strong magic resistance? Greaeeeet.) – thought Thanatos as the dragon gryphon charged at her once again, forcing her to swing her scythe and cut down any monster that gotten close to her.

(From what I’ve had gathered, all of their stats are extremely high, especially attack power and magic resistance.) – thought Thanatos as she dodged one of the dragon gryphon’s charge, before then impaling them on her scythe and then followed up with her throwing the corpse of the beast into a group of them, but all monsters dodged the incoming corpse before then counter attacking with wind magic, securing a direct strike on Thanatos.

(Yeb! I can fucking kill them! But fighting them in the skies is way too dangerous! Even for me!)

(Not only that, these bastards seems to have some kind of detection skills, since some of my stealth skills did not worked at all at them. Not only that, it would also somewhat explain how they are completely unbothered by this god damned mist!)

(I’m understanding more and more why nobody was able to reach this freaking place.)

(Still, I think the biggest problem are the numbers.) – thought Thanatos as she tried flying higher, only to once again get body blocked by the dragon gryphons, which charged at the woman once again.

"FUCK! WILL YOU PISS OFF YA WANKERS?!" – shouted Thanatos as she was forced to fight once again in the air.

(Fuck me! This isn’t easy!) – thought Thanatos as she was forced to use some of her stronger buffs on herself, alongside some of her more powerful offensive skills in order to quickly get rid of monsters that were blocking her way.

(I can’t waste everything I have here! I still haven’t even reached that fucking island!)

(Speaking of which! Where the hell is it!?)

(I’m flying straight towards it nonstop, but I can’t tell if I’m still here or not because of this fucking mist!) – thought Thanatos as she managed to break through the monster blockage, allowing her to fly higher once again.

(Seriously! I know I’m not the best when it comes to flying! But still! I should see at least some-) – thought Thanatos as in barely last moment she stopped herself from getting impaled by stalactites.

"...Oh... Here." – said Thanatos as she realized she finally reached the island, causing the woman to start looking around, before then finding a wall which she then started climbing up, while at the same time, the monsters tried stopping Thanatos.

However, Thanatos was nowhere near giving up, as she was tearing to shreds all the monsters while climbing higher and higher.

(Is it me or did they became way more aggressive now?!) – thought Thanatos as she noticed that the monsters were not only coming at her in much larger numbers now, but were also unleashing spells left and right, forcing Thanatos to defend herself, and even leap at one of the monsters and bite into their necks, drinking a blood out of them in order to recover some of her HP.

Thanatos was climbing like a beast, destroying and ripping apart that tried stopping her from trying to reach the top of the island.

"!" – and then finally, the woman climbed over the wall.

(FUCK YEA!) – thought Thanatos as she threw herself over the wall and instantly realized that the ground wasn’t below her.

However, as she went deeper in, she ended up reaching the ground, landing on the fresh grass.

"COME AT ME!" – shouted Thanatos as she gotten ready to fight for real.

"?"

"Eh?"

(Wait, they are not coming?) – thought Thanatos as she realized that the desperate monsters were no longer even trying to unleash any long-range attack at the woman.

"..."

"So, do they give up if I reach the target? Is that the gimmick here?" – said Thanatos to herself as she realized that the mist in the area where she was not as thick as before.

"..."

Thanatos wandered away from the wall, and it didn’t even took long at all for the entire mist to clear up instantly, revealing a full of life terrain.

"Huh.... So, is it like a floating sanctuary?" – said Thanatos as she looked very interested in the area that looked extremely peacefully, with countless different terrains and even animals just wondering around.

(....They just look like regular animals?) – thought Thanatos as she approached a cow and petted it while checking its status.

"It is normal cow.... Not even a monster." – said Thanatos as she wandered through the field, encountering different animals.

(Lake filled with sea life form and large tries were countless birds are singing.)

(This place looks like a self-sustaining ecosystem, a one that doesn’t need any human interference to work.) – thought Thanatos as she wandered for some time throughout the island, while also using her skills and spy glass to inspect the area.

"No hostile monsters... Or anything like a boss monsters... Or even field boss... Which is extremely weird."

"I thought that I may really end up having to call for that support after that first encounter.... But nope? Huh...Weird."

(This whole place is completely unguarded.) – thought Thanatos as she gotten off the tree and started walking through the grass field.

"Still, there is only one man made thing here."- said Thanatos as she arrived at the place where a massive cube like building made out of bricks and covered in veins was standing.

(This is the only man-made thing here.... Bricks. No windows, but a single pair of massive steel doors.)

(No monsters or traps.)

"..."

"This maybe a dungeon." – said Thanatos as she laid down on the grass field.

(If this place is really a temple, then I should get ready and wait until all of my resources are restores as well as skill cooldowns are over.) – thought Thanatos as she looked into her inventory.

"...Should I use the cores now?"

"There shouldn’t be any problem here... Since there are only animals here."

"..."

(No.)

(Honestly, I know I could make it much easier.)

(But honestly I would like to beat that dungeon without having Phantasia straight up baby sit me on this.)

(...Not only that, I’m still worried about how weirdly peaceful this place is.)

(And there is also a freaking horde of that freaking dragon gryphons outside...What if I start making trouble here and these bastards will just fly here?)

(It is better if I don’t mess with things here just yet.)

(And for now, let’s try to beat the dungeon with my own strength.)

[1 hour later.]

"Well then... Let’s see how it goes." – said Thanatos as she finished her fully recovery and headed straight towards the doors, which she instantly opened, revealing a massive stairs that were leading downwards.

"..."

"[Summon]."

[Blood Soldier] [Blood Knight] [Blood Elemental] [Shadow Beast] [Shadow Hunter]

(I maybe not summoner specialist or have any build related to it, but still, these guys could act like meat shields.) – thought Thanatos as she summoned several monsters, a humanoid monster out of blood, a massive living pool of blood in form of a liquid monster, a four-legged beast made out of darkness and the massive humanoid figure with extremely large and long claws on each of its limbs.

"Move forward." – said Thanatos as she had her monster take a frontline as the group descended down the stairs

[You have entered dungeon: [Beast Sanctuary].]

"So this is really dungeon, huh?"

"...And this looks suspicious like hell." – said Thanatos as the group arrived at the second set pair of doors, which were noticeable far more fortified.

(Yeb. This screams boss battle.) – thought Thanatos as she snapped her fingers and ordered her monsters to open up the doors.

"...Yeb... It is boss fight." – said Thanatos as she alongside her monsters entered the massive room which appeared to be a tropical jungle.

(There is definitely hiding something here. This straight up screams trap.) – thought Thanatos as she alongside her monsters walked through the jungle, while keeping their guard up.

However, even they walked around for sometime already, they still did not encountered anything.... But even so, Thanatos wasn’t falling for it as she kept her guard up.

"..."

But out of nowhere, Thanatos lowered her weapon and her own guard.... And the exact moment this has happened; a massive jaws suddenly came at her out of nowhere.

However, the woman was ready for it, as she leaped into the air, dodging the attack.

"FUCKING KNEW IT! YOU WERE WAITING!" – shouted Thanatos as she landed on the ground, while the attacker failed ambush resulted in identity of the attacker being exposed.

[Saw Blade Python]

A massive tree color patterned snake like monster with extremely long mouth filled with countless saw-like blades teethes was towering over Thanatos.

"Litle fucking bastard! Hiding and waiting until I let my guard down?! Eh!?"

(Still, how did I not detected this massive bastard?)

(Even if he had some kind of stealth skill, how did I could not notice something as big as this moving around?)

(Unless he has some kind of broken stealth skill that allows him perfectly hide this entire body... Which isn’t really nice.)
