Chapter 530: Chapter 530 – To search for divinity – Part 3.

"Well, how things are going on your end?" – asked Thanatos as she was having a [Video Chat Call] with Phantasia.

["Well, on my end I think I hit the jackpot."] – said Phantasia.

["I think this place is really hiding the divinity.... I confirmed it is hidden here, but I still don’t know where.... I think I may end up being forced to do a deep search, which will expose me."]

["What about you?"]

"Well, neither good or bad really." – said Thanatos.

"I had been searching for few days."

"I thought that maybe the stuff below these mountains had the real treasure hidden in them... But I found no clues."

"I’ve looked through the history and what of this kingdom and this place.... But found nothing."

"By the looks of things, the only real way to find anything here is to investigate that flooding island."

"Which is something I didn’t wanted to do."

(No matter what I read or who I asked, there was straight up nothing here.) – thought annoyed Thanatos.

(It would be at least nice if there was some kind of weird shady rumor being spoke by a random homeless man in the streets... But nope.)

(No random weird talk.)

(No special NPCs.... Just freaking nothing.)

(Maybe there were some NPCs with special quests here, but they were already done by all of the production class users here.... Meaning that any clues that were already here, were already taken by the other players... And I cannot really go around and ask these players about the info either, since I will just expose myself big time.)

"By the looks of things I will have to go into the sky... Anyway, are you sure about giving me access to that flying squad of yours?" – asked Thanatos.

"One thing is given me golems, but another is giving me some of your daughters."

"..."

["I know. It is stupid."] – said Phantasia.

["But sacrifices need to be made if we wish to obtain the divinities."]

["And you already know we cannot ask vampires or anybody from organization from help either."]

["Still, try to not call them if possible."]

["It isn’t only about not me wanting to use them and die, but also somewhat about exposing their existence if somebody unwanted sees them."]

"I will try resolve this trouble by myself or with just golem cores... But again, I still don’t know how dangerous that place is, so I cannot promise anything."

"By the way, how is situation with Maparapara."

["....I don’t know... We haven’t really been talking lately... If anything, she doesn’t want to talk.... I think something must had happened for her to act so weirdly out of nowhere."]

"Huh.... Yeah, this is weird for her to act this way."

"Well, maybe she wants some time for herself? She won’t betray us, so I don’t think we need to worry about anything."

"We should wait until she contact us herself."

["Fine."]

["Anyway, good luck on your side. And remember, you can always use that support call I gave you."]

["If there is really no choice. Use it."]

"I will try not to rely on it." – said Thanatos as the call between the two players has ended.

"..."

(Well then.... What now?) – thought Thanatos while leaning on the seat of her bike.

(Honestly, I’m on this with this one.)

(I should not use that support call.)

(These homunculuses don’t need to be high level. They just need to use that highly advance war vehicles that Phantasia made for them.)

(Still, one thing is seeing those vehicles, and another is seeing who is driving them.)

(We would be beyond screwed if people saw them.)

(Even if they don’t realize that they are homunculuses, people will start asking questions on "who are these mysterious women that are working for Phantasia?")

(Phantasia is a monster.)

(He can make nation if he wants to.)

(But the only reason why he isn’t making one is simple.... Too much noise.)

(It could ruin his plans and even put him in problematic situation.)

(However, what about citizens? Who would be his "subject"?)

(And that is the problem.)

(If people were to find out that he can create his own "kingdom’s subjects", there will be straight up screaming everywhere.)

(And we need to avoid this situation no matter what.)

"Still.... Divinity."

(Fuck.... I mean he said himself that he may had found it.... And we need at least 1!)

(But again.... Fucking AGAIN!)

(I WANT ONE MYSELF AS WELL!) – thought Thanatos, who was considering using both the dungeon cores and using the support call instantly.

"..."

"No... Don’t jump to the guns yet..." – said Thanatos as she gotten off her bike and hid it with the power of her key item, before then gazing upwards, straight at the edge of the flooding island where the mist

Thanatos sprout out a pair of two massive bat wings from her back, before moments later equipping her wings with some kind of jet like modification.

Thanatos took into the skies, flying high into the air.

"..."

(Honestly speaking I keep forgetting that I have these.)

(I mean, when I was a mid-rank vampire, these wings really couldn’t do much, and they couldn’t be used for long duration.)

(But after becoming a high-ranking vampire, not only they are much more powerful, but I can also use them for much longer.)

(Obviously they are not bullshit overpowered, making stuff like wyverns or Phantasia’s aircraft better... But still, I can somewhat fly all on my own.) – thought Thanatos as with the help of her vampiric wings and jet booster was able to climb up the skies, slowly reaching the flooding island.... And after sometime, slowly entering the thick mist.

"..."

(It is starting to get harder to see anything.) – thought Thanatos as she flew deeper into the mist, while her vision was starting to get worst and worst with each passing moment.

[Blood Vision]

Thanatos realizing her sight was disturbed too much by the mist ended up using her detection skill, trying to spot any living beings around.... And right in the very next moment, she spotted something, rabidly approaching her.

Thanatos instantly swung her scythe, as from the mist, a giant pair of claws suddenly came at her, clashing with her weapon.

"I fucking see you!" – said Thanatos as her blood sensing eyes could recognize the creature in front of her.

[Dragon Gryphon]

(Dragon gryphon? Never heard of it?) – thought Thanatos as the shadow from the mist tried striking her again and again, but the vampire was able to block the attack each time and even counter attack, landing few deadly blows that even caused the creature to burst out with blood.

(It has some power and durability... Definitely stronger than those desert wyverns.)

(Still, this isn’t the most annoying part.)

(This mist is the biggest problem. You can only see the shadow and you can only really see any attacks when they are dangerously close.) – thought Thanatos as a lion like tail with spiked claws was swung at Thanatos, only for the woman to block and then just cut off the tail all together with her scythe.

(If it wasn’t for the [Blood Vision], I couldn’t even see its shape.) – thought Thanatos as the massive figure tried ramming into Thanatos, only for the vampire to dodge the attack mid air and swung her scythe below her, which ended up piercing the creature’s skull.

Thanatos brought her scythe closer to herself, alongside the impaled head of the creature in order to get a better look at the creature.

(Huh... It head really looks like combination of a lizard and bird.) – thought Thanatos as she ripped off the head of the creature, finishing it off.

However, right after exterminating the monster and letting it corpse fell down, the woman quickly noticed a large number of other dragon gryphons in the air, already gathering around without making any sort of noise while flying.

"...No wonder anybody who tried to get in were exterminated."

(Ariel combat isn’t my specialty.)

(Even with this wings, I’m still at too big of disadvantage.)

(I need to get to the ground.) – thought Thanatos as she buffed herself before then flying higher into the sky, while the dragon gryphons started charging at her.

At first Thanatos was able to somewhat push back and repel some of the monsters, but then she started getting blasted by attacks she couldn’t see.

(Shit! They have range attacks?!) – thought Thanatos as she deployed her barrier of blood, blocking several blows that the woman couldn’t see.

(Wind magic?) – thought Thanatos before in the next moment, a burst of light came her way, which revealed itself to be a massive volume of fire.

"..."

"Fire and wind, huh?" – said Thanatos as her barrier endured the barrage.

(This is bad.)

([Blood Vision] can’t see magic. It can only target living beings.) – thought Thanatos as she began flying higher into the air once again, only for even more dragon gryphons to stand in her way.

"Tch!"

"GET THE FUCK OUT OF MY WAY!" – and without hesitation, Thanatos instantly unleashed her [Scythe Art: Life Reaper], unleashing a devasting strike that destroyed few dragon gryphons in one go.... But that only bough her few seconds, as she saw already another wave of these monsters coming directly towards her.

"Jezus!"

"HOW MANY OF THESE FUCKERS ARE HERE?!"
