Chapter 168: The Revenge Buffet Begins

Cynthia stepped forward first.

Her gentle smile returned, soft and beautiful, yet there was not a single trace of warmth inside it.

The young man tied to the stone chair trembled as he watched her approach. His face was already pale, and blood slowly dripped from the cut on his cheek.

"Wait... wait, please," he begged. "I was wrong. I’ll apologize. I’ll compensate you. I’ll..."

Cynthia raised one finger to her lips. "Shh."

A thin stream of Water Qi flowed from her earrings, carrying a faint green-blue glow. "First, let me poison him."

The man’s eyes widened. "Poison?"

Cynthia tilted her head sweetly. "Don’t worry. It won’t kill you quickly."

Her voice became softer, almost soothing. "It will only make every wound hurt more, slow your blood, weaken your muscles, and keep you awake until the end."

The green-blue liquid entered his skin through the cut on his cheek, and his body quickly stiffened.

A second later, his eyes bulged as his whole body jerked against the seals. A raw scream tore from his throat.

"AHHHHHH!"

Cynthia sighed lightly. "Too loud."

She turned her gaze toward Helena. "Seal his mouth, please."

Helena stepped forward and slapped a talisman directly over his mouth.

PAK!

The man’s scream was instantly trapped in his throat, becoming nothing but a broken, miserable whimper.

Cynthia smiled with quiet satisfaction. "Okay, done."

She stepped back gracefully and spread one hand toward the others, as if inviting them to a feast. "Please enjoy the buffet, you three."

Linsey’s eyes curved with dangerous delight.

Her short blade spun once between her fingers before she walked closer. "Finally."

The man shook his head wildly, tears streaming down his face.

Linsey ignored him.

Her blade moved slowly, carefully, almost playfully, slicing shallow lines across his arms and shoulders.

SLASH.

SLASH.

SLASH.

Each cut was not deep enough to kill him, but with Cynthia’s poison burning through his body, every wound made his eyes roll with pain.

Linsey watched his reaction with a satisfied look, as if every twitch and muffled cry repaid one small piece of the hatred buried in her chest.

Helena cracked her knuckles and walked to his side. "My turn."

She grabbed his hand.

The man tried to pull away, but the seals held him down, and Helena tightened her grip around his finger.

CRACK!

One finger bent the wrong way.

The man’s muffled scream shook the chair.

Helena’s face stayed cold. "That one is for the girl whose hand you crushed."

She moved to the next finger.

CRACK!

"And that one is for the girl you made beg."

One by one, fingers, toes, and bones followed.

Helena did not rush. She took her time, remembering every face, every rumor, every broken girl who had disappeared because this bastard thought he could do anything he wanted.

Evelyn stood behind them, calm as winter.

Whenever the man’s breathing weakened too much, she raised her hand slightly, and cold Ice Qi covered his injuries.

The wounds froze just enough to stop him from dying too quickly.

Linsey glanced back and laughed softly. "Reliable as always."

Evelyn’s eyes remained cold. "He doesn’t deserve an easy death."

The man’s body trembled helplessly beneath poison, blades, broken bones, and frost.

Cynthia watched quietly, her gentle face beautiful and cruel.

For once, none of them felt disgusted by the basement, the blood, or the fear in the air.

They felt satisfaction.

A slow, sadistic satisfaction that had been buried for far too long.

"For all the girls you forgot," Cynthia whispered, "we remembered everything."

---

By the time everything ended, the young man tied to the stone chair no longer looked human.

His robes were torn beyond recognition, and his body was covered in frost, poison marks, blade cuts, and broken places that no normal cultivator could survive.

His hands and legs had been ruined completely, each one left in a gruesome state.

His fingers and toes had not only been broken one by one, but even his nails had been slowly pulled out while Cynthia’s poison forced him to feel every second of it.

The arrogance in his eyes had vanished long ago, leaving only pain, fear, and regret.

A final muffled whimper escaped his sealed mouth.

A moment later, his head dropped.

He died in extreme pain, exactly the way the four women had wanted.

For a while, the basement was silent.

Linsey slowly lowered her short blade and exhaled. "Damn..."

Helena leaned against her greatsword, her shoulders relaxing for the first time in years. "That felt good."

Cynthia looked at the corpse quietly. Her gentle face was still calm, but her eyes carried a strange brightness. "I didn’t know revenge could feel this good."

Evelyn leaned slightly to the side and said coldly, "Of course it feels good. A bastard like him deserved to die."

Linsey laughed softly, though the sound carried a dangerous edge. "The scary part is... I think I’m addicted to this feeling."

Helena turned her head slightly. "Hm. Yeah. The satisfaction from torturing him really was good."

Cynthia nodded with a soft smile. "After all, this bastard truly needed to die. Of course it feels good."

Evelyn glanced at the corpse and gave a small nod. "Yeah. He was a pervert and a monster. He deserved this."

Linsey suddenly clicked her tongue. "Thankfully, he tortured us with his hands and tools, not with his lower half. Otherwise, I would have killed him even slower."

Helena’s mouth twitched. "That is one disgusting thing to say."

Cynthia sighed softly. "Disgusting, but true."

Evelyn looked away. "At least we are still virgins."

The room became quiet again.

Helena slowly turned to Evelyn. "Why did you say that so seriously?"

Evelyn did not answer.

Linsey suddenly raised one finger. "Now that you said that, I’ve decided."

The other three looked at her.

Linsey’s eyes shone with strange determination. "I’m going to become Damian’s concubine."

The basement instantly froze.

Helena stared at her like she had been struck by lightning. "Huh?"

Cynthia’s gentle mask cracked. "Why so suddenly?"

Evelyn’s icy eyes finally showed shock. "Are you insane?"

Linsey shrugged. "Maybe."
