Chapter 167: Damian Missed the Whole Plot

The system screen trembled lightly in front of Damian’s eyes.

A moment later, lines of glowing text slowly appeared.

Damian stared at the four screens in complete confusion.

For a moment, he did not even blink.

His hand slowly lifted, and one finger pointed toward the floating screens. "Wait. Wait a damn minute."

His mouth twitched. "I haven’t even met those four for a month. How the hell did they suddenly reach Peak Emotional Trust toward me?"

He leaned closer to the glowing text, as if staring harder would somehow make the system less unreasonable.

"Did they dream about me? Did they finally understand my handsome greatness from far away?"

Damian paused for half a breath. "No, that sounds reasonable, but it’s still too sudden."

Before he could finish processing that, several more screens suddenly appeared.

The new lines of text made his expression stiffen even harder.

Damian’s eyes widened more and more with every new screen.

His brain nearly stopped working. "What the hell actually happened?"

He slowly rubbed his chin, trying to force his thoughts back into order. "Could it be they disappeared because they were solving their own bad endings?"

His expression became complicated. "No, no, no. That’s not the important part."

Damian pointed at the screens again, his voice rising with disbelief. "The important part is why I’m only learning about it now!"

The system suddenly flashed brighter.

A larger screen appeared in front of him.

Damian stared at the final screen in silence, then his eyebrow twitched hard. "What the hell happened while I was gone, and what the hell did those four women do?"

---

A few hours ago, in another place.

Deep beneath an abandoned manor outside the Heavenly Sword Sect’s territory, a dark basement was lit by several dim spirit lamps.

The air smelled of dust, blood, and old fear.

At the center of the basement, a young man was tied tightly to a stone chair. His robes were torn, his hair was messy, and several sealing talismans covered his chest, arms, and legs.

For a long time, he remained unconscious.

A hand suddenly swung toward his cheek.

SLAP!

His head snapped to the side.

"Hey, hey. Wake up."

A playful female voice echoed through the basement.

The young man groaned and slowly opened his eyes. His vision was blurry at first, but once it cleared, he saw four women standing in front of him.

Linsey held a short blade in one hand, spinning it lightly between her fingers.

Helena leaned against her huge greatsword, her earth-colored eyes filled with cold amusement.

Cynthia smiled gently, but the Water Qi around her earrings moved like thin, poisonous threads.

Evelyn stood at the back with her [Frost Moon Longbow] in hand, her icy gaze locked on him without blinking.

The man frowned in confusion. "Who... who are you? Where is this? What are you doing to me?"

For a moment, the four women went silent.

Linsey’s lips slowly curled. "Wow. You really don’t know us... Damn, to think that you forgot about us!"

Helena let out a low laugh. "Of course he forgot. Men like him always forget the girls they ruin."

Cynthia tilted her head, her voice soft but cold. "Don’t you remember us? The girls you liked to play with?"

Evelyn’s fingers brushed across her bowstring. "The ones you tortured, humiliated, and threw away when you got bored."

The man’s face stiffened as his eyes moved between them, panic slowly replacing his confusion. "Wait... no... that was..."

Linsey stepped closer and pressed the flat of her blade against his cheek. "That was what? A misunderstanding?"

Helena’s amusement disappeared, leaving only a heavy, ugly coldness in her eyes. "You killed and tortured so many girls that you can’t even remember all their faces anymore."

Cynthia’s gentle expression cracked into something far colder. "That’s fine. We remember you. After all, that’s what matters."

The man struggled against the ropes and shouted, "Damn you! Do you know who I am? Where are my guards?"

Linsey laughed.

Helena’s shoulders shook as she chuckled.

Cynthia covered her mouth politely, though her eyes were terrifyingly cold.

Evelyn finally spoke. "Dead."

The man froze.

Evelyn lifted her bow slightly. "If you mean your Golden Core bodyguard, he was quite strong and troublesome. Unfortunately for him, thanks to our new equipment, he was nothing to us."

Helena patted her [Mountain Guard Greatsword]. "You really should have hired someone stronger."

Linsey leaned closer to his ear and whispered, "After all, without protection, you’re just a weak little cultivator sitting in a chair."

The man’s face turned pale. "No... wait. I can give you money. Spirit stones. Pills. Anything."

Cynthia looked at him quietly, her soft voice carrying no mercy at all. "Too late."

Linsey’s blade slowly cut across his cheek.

SLASH!

The man screamed, but the four women did not pity him. Instead, something close to satisfaction appeared in their eyes.

Helena cracked her knuckles, her expression dark with long-suppressed rage. "Time for us to enjoy our night."

Linsey’s grip tightened around her short blade, her eyes sharp with long-awaited revenge. "Don’t worry."

She leaned back slightly and looked at the terrified man tied to the chair. "The night is still long."
