Chapter 164: Damian Learns His Master’s Title

Damian frowned as he stared at Serina and Miona.

Their expressions, aura, and killing intent were completely different from before.

"Damn... so that’s why they had multipliers."

His gaze shifted toward Kerran Bloodhand’s fallen head.

"Villainess targets. That means they aren’t ordinary Blue Mist Sect disciples."

The more Damian thought about it, the clearer the situation became.

Kerran Bloodhand knew their secret.

He had even called them for help.

That meant they had some kind of connection.

Maybe a demonic sect.

Maybe a hidden organization.

Maybe something even worse.

No, from the way Kerran begged them, he was probably a lower-ranked piece. He did not sound like someone ordering them around. He sounded like a desperate dog trying to drag stronger people down with him.

"These two sisters were probably ordered to help him or protect his mission. That idiot called them bastards and threatened them, so they killed him instead."

Damian’s eyes slowly moved back to the sisters.

"Which means... their status inside that demonic sect isn’t low."

For a moment, the red mist was silent.

Miona slowly turned her blood-stained face toward Damian.

Serina also looked at him, her calm eyes no longer gentle.

Damian sighed. "So you two... must be spies from a demonic sect, right?"

Miona’s fingers tightened around her blade.

Damian continued, "You were sent into the Blue Mist Sect, and that bastard Kerran should be a new member, a pawn, or something similar. That’s why you could kill him without caring."

His gaze became slightly sharper. "And the secret he mentioned should be about your spy identity."

Serina’s expression changed faintly.

Miona stared at Damian for a few breaths before her lips curled into a cold, dangerous smile. "So you figured it out, huh?"

The mist around her body began to move again, curling around her like a thin veil hiding a knife. "Then it seems I need to kill you too."

Serina immediately frowned. "Miona, no."

Miona’s eyes stayed locked on Damian. "Why not?"

Serina’s voice became lower. "He is that demon sword woman’s disciple."

Miona’s expression stiffened.

Serina glanced at Damian, then at Crimson Thunder Eclipse in his hand. "There must be something on him. A mark, a soul trace, a hidden sword seal... something."

Her tone turned colder. "If we kill him carelessly, that demon sword woman might track us down."

Miona’s face darkened.

For the first time, hesitation appeared in her eyes.

She looked at Damian again, and the killing intent around her did not disappear, but it no longer rushed forward recklessly.

Meanwhile, Damian blinked in confusion.

For a moment, he even forgot that his body was still strangely weak. "Demon sword woman, huh?"

His mouth twitched. "You’re talking about my master?"

Serina did not answer immediately.

Miona clicked her tongue, her blade still raised. "Don’t act dumb. Elder Selvara. That crazy sword woman."

Damian stared at them.

A second later, his expression became complicated. "Master really has this kind of title?"

He slowly looked toward the red mist above them, as if trying to imagine Selvara doing something terrifying enough to make demonic sect spies fear her name. "Damn. Just what the hell did you do outside, Master?"

At that moment, the heavy numbness in his body suddenly began to fade.

The strange chill in his meridians loosened, and his Qi slowly started flowing again.

A few breaths later, his arm lifted normally.

Miona’s eyes changed. "You can move?"

Serina’s calm face finally showed a crack. Her gaze swept across Damian’s body. "Impossible."

Damian rolled his shoulder and exhaled. "Ah, good. I thought my handsome body was broken for a second."

Miona’s expression turned sharp. "How the hell can you move already?"

Serina took one step forward, her voice quieter than before. "That poison should have paralyzed you for at least one hour, even if you were at Peak Foundation Establishment."

Damian froze.

His head slowly turned toward the carriage.

More precisely, toward the tea set.

"Damn."

His face darkened. "The tea was actually poison?"

Miona stared at him like he was an idiot. "You only realized now?"

Damian sighed deeply and placed one hand on his chest. "Of course. I already knew."

Miona’s eyebrow twitched. "Bullshit."

Damian continued shamelessly, "Because I am strong, a little poison like that can’t affect me at all."

Miona’s eyes sharpened. "You were frozen just now."

Damian waved his hand. "Temporarily admiring the poison’s effort."

Serina looked at him silently.

Her eyes no longer carried the gentle warmth from before. There was caution now, along with a faint trace of interest.

Damian ignored the awkward tension and pointed at her. "By the way, you said my master is a demon sword woman."

Serina’s gaze shifted slightly.

Damian smiled. "I’m interested. I’ve never heard her talk about this. Care to explain?"

Miona sneered. "Why the hell should we tell you?"

Damian lifted Crimson Thunder Eclipse slightly. "Because I’m handsome, poisoned, betrayed, and still asking politely. That should count for something."

Serina sighed softly and finally answered, "Your master, Selvara, is known by some people as the Sword Demon."

Damian’s smile slowly faded.

Serina continued, "Not because she cultivates demonic arts. She doesn’t need them."

Her gaze shifted toward the mist. "She earned that name because she killed too many cultivators without caring whether they were righteous, demonic, noble, famous, or backed by powerful forces."

Damian frowned. "Damn, Master..."

Miona’s voice was cold. "Anyone who provoked her died. Anyone who touched what belonged to her died worse."

Serina nodded faintly. "That is why among certain higher-ups, especially in demonic sect circles, she is not called Elder Selvara."

Her eyes returned to Damian. "She is called the Demon Sword."

Damian stood there in silence.

For the first time in a long while, he was truly shocked. "Damn, Master..."

His lips twitched. "Not only are you cold, but you’re this damn cold? Killing whoever pisses you off, whether they’re righteous or demonic?"

Damian slowly rubbed his chin, his expression turning strangely serious. "I really need to remind myself not to anger her too much."

Miona looked at him like he was insane. "That is what you’re thinking about?"

Damian glanced at her. "Of course. A disciple must understand his master’s danger level."

Serina’s eyes stayed calm, but there was a trace of disbelief hidden beneath them. "You are not afraid of us?"

Damian looked at the two sisters, then at Kerran’s headless corpse, and suddenly grinned. "Afraid? A little."

He looked back at them. "But more than that, right now I’m more curious. Just who the hell are you two?"
