Chapter 163: Kerran Begged Too Late

Kerran stared at Damian with bloodshot eyes.

For the first time since he appeared, the lazy amusement on his face had completely disappeared.

His wound had already healed, but the humiliation remained.

He was a Golden Core cultivator.

A blood-path rogue cultivator who had killed countless Foundation Establishment cultivators.

Yet now, he had actually been forced back by Damian, a Peak Foundation Establishment cultivator.

Kerran’s face twisted. "You little bastard..."

Damian held Crimson Thunder Eclipse loosely in one hand and smiled. "What? Angry already?"

Kerran’s crimson eyes burned with killing intent. "Do you really think you suppressed me?"

Blood mist surged around him like a boiling river. "Do you think pushing me back once means you’ve already won?"

The red grass around him began to wither.

The blood mist in the valley trembled, then rushed toward Kerran’s body like countless snakes returning to their nest.

Kerran spread both arms and laughed coldly. "Don’t forget where this place is."

His aura suddenly rose, breaking past its previous limit.

In only a few breaths, his power became at least twice as strong as before.

Kerran’s grin returned, but this time, it looked savage. "Now... let’s see how long your confidence lasts."

Damian frowned upon seeing the change. "Damn. Jumping to the Second Stage? You really are a final boss?"

Kerran laughed wildly. "What happened? Scared now?"

Damian sighed. "Scared? No."

His hand moved toward his storage ring. "I’m just thinking that my master really is insane for making me fight someone like you."

Kerran’s body blurred forward. "Then die!"

Damian’s eyes sharpened. "Oh no, you don’t."

He suddenly pulled out a talisman blazing with crimson-gold patterns and threw it forward.

The talisman burned in midair.

Kerran sneered. "Hahaha! Don’t think you can seal me! How can I be sealed inside Blood Reed Valley?"

Blood Qi erupted from his body, trying to crush the talisman before it fully activated.

Damian grinned. "Of course an ordinary talisman wouldn’t work."

The talisman light suddenly expanded.

Blazing chains of flame shot out in every direction.

Damian’s smile widened. "As expected, this Top-Rank Noble Grade [Blazing Heaven Sealing Talisman] is really good."

Kerran’s expression changed. "What?"

Damian lifted his chin proudly. "I already knew this place could power you up. How could I not use a better talisman?"

The blazing chains wrapped around Kerran’s arms, legs, chest, and neck. His blood mist screamed as if it had been burned alive.

SIZZLE!

Kerran roared and struggled. "No! Impossible!"

The flames tightened and forcefully suppressed Kerran’s awakened power, dragging his aura back down.

Damian stepped forward, Crimson Thunder Eclipse dragging sparks across the ground. "Now..."

Flame and thunder wrapped around his blade. "It’s time for you to die."

Kerran’s face finally filled with panic. "No... no, wait!"

Damian stopped in front of him.

Kerran’s voice trembled. "Don’t kill me! I can give you treasures! Techniques! Spirit stones!"

Damian stared at him coldly.

A faint smile slowly appeared on his face. "Hahaha. Don’t kill you?"

His eyes became colder. "That’s really funny. How come you can kill others, but others can’t kill you?"

Kerran’s lips trembled.

Damian raised Crimson Thunder Eclipse, and flame mixed with thunder along the edge of the blade. "It’s time for you to pay for your sins."

Kerran’s eyes suddenly turned vicious. "Damn you!"

His gaze snapped toward the carriage. "You two bastards! Help me!"

Damian’s sword paused.

Kerran laughed through his panic, his face twisted with madness. "Do you think my death will do you any good? If I die here, your secret will be exposed. I already made sure of it!"

Damian’s body suddenly stiffened.

A strange chill spread across his back.

His fingers tightened around Crimson Thunder Eclipse, but for some unknown reason, his body felt heavy and hard to move.

"The hell is this?"

Inside the carriage, Serina and Miona’s expressions changed completely.

Serina’s usual gentle face vanished. Her eyes became calm, cold, and unreadable, like mist covering a hidden blade.

Miona’s face turned even darker, and her killing intent burst out without the slightest hesitation. "You bastard..."

Her voice was low, but the curse inside it was heavy enough to make the air sink.

Kerran’s eyes lit up with hope. "Hahaha! That’s right! Help me! If I die, you two..."

"Shut your damn mouth," Miona snapped.

Kerran froze.

Miona stepped out of the carriage, her fingers already gripping her weapon. Water Qi and mist Qi coiled around her body, twisting together like sharp silver-blue threads.

Serina followed behind her, calm and silent.

Damian frowned slightly.

The two sisters were different from before.

No, it was more than different.

Their entire presence had changed.

Serina was no longer the gentle older sister who smiled softly and poured tea with graceful hands. Her calm had become colder, sharper, and far more dangerous.

Miona was no longer just the suspicious younger sister who cursed at Damian whenever he acted shamelessly. Her anger had turned into something deeper, something ugly and murderous.

Damian’s eyes moved between them.

"What the hell did this cannibal bastard just trigger?"

Miona stared at Kerran like she was looking at a piece of rotten meat. "You dare call us bastards?"

Serina’s eyes lowered slightly. "You also dared to threaten us with our secret."

Kerran’s expression stiffened. "Wait... I was only..."

Miona’s figure vanished.

WHOOSH!

Kerran’s eyes widened.

Mist exploded beside him, and Miona appeared directly in front of his chest.

[Mist Severing Water Blade]!

A thin silver-blue blade flashed through the blood mist.

SLASH!

Kerran’s throat was cut open before he could even finish speaking.

His eyes bulged in disbelief.

Even with Golden Core strength, his body was already suppressed by Damian’s [Blazing Heaven Sealing Talisman].

He could not move.

Hell, he could not even gather enough Blood Qi to heal or defend himself.

Blood sprayed across the red grass and splashed onto Miona’s face, but her expression did not change at all.

"Even if you are a Golden Core cultivator," she said through clenched teeth, "you have no right to call us bastards."

The silver-blue blade in her hand trembled faintly. "You’re better off dead."

The blade flashed again.

SLASH!

Kerran Bloodhand’s head fell to the ground.

For a moment, the red mist became silent.
