Chapter 162: Damian Is Not On Menu
Damian stared into the red mist as the low laugh echoed around the carriage.
"Hehehe... so you’re Damian."
His gaze sharpened.
A moment later, his expression turned colder. "Hey, you bastard. How the hell do you know my name?"
Serina’s face changed slightly.
Miona immediately tightened her grip on her weapon. "Senior Brother Damian..."
Damian did not look away from the mist. "Don’t tell me..."
The blood-red mist slowly parted.
Kerran Bloodhand walked out with an easy, lazy smile, his dark red robes stained with dried blood.
A thick bloody aura wrapped around him, and his crimson eyes looked far too pleased.
"Hahaha! Indeed." Kerran grinned. "Your friends, those three men, are dead."
Serina’s gentle expression disappeared completely.
Miona’s face turned cold. "Borin, Lareth, and Maren..."
Damian blinked.
A second later, he sighed. "My goodness..."
Kerran raised an eyebrow.
Damian shrugged. "Heh. I don’t really care."
Miona snapped her head toward him. "What?"
Damian glanced at her. "What? I only met them today. I’m not going to cry like we were sworn brothers."
His gaze shifted back to Kerran. "Still, you knowing my name means they probably talked about me before dying. That part is annoying."
Kerran laughed softly. "You’re colder than I expected."
Damian smiled without warmth. "I’m shameless, not stupid."
Kerran’s grin widened. "Good. Then you should understand."
Blood Qi slowly spread beneath his feet.
Damian directly cut him off. "Now that you’re here, this place will become your graveyard."
He paused. "Wait a minute. No."
Kerran tilted his head slightly. "No?"
Damian cracked his neck and gave him a sharp smile. "I still need to bring you back for mission points."
His grin became sharper. "So let’s just say this will be the place where you lose to the handsome and brave Damian."
Kerran stared at him for a moment.
A second later, he burst out laughing. "Hahaha! You aren’t even a Golden Core cultivator, and you think you can defeat me?"
His crimson eyes turned mocking. "How amusing. You sound just like those three fools."
Damian’s expression did not move. "I’m not like those three."
Kerran’s amusement grew. "Oh?"
Damian slowly stood up from the carriage. "I’m stronger."
For a moment, the mist became quiet.
Kerran’s smile slowly turned strange. "Of course you are."
His tongue slid across his lips. "That is why you look delicious."
Damian immediately shuddered. "What the hell do you mean by that?"
Serina’s eyes turned cold with disgust.
Miona’s fingers tightened around her weapon. "This bastard..."
Kerran grinned. "A shameless pervert like you must have touched many women, yet your body is still vigorous and full of vitality."
His eyes greedily swept over Damian. "That means your body must be very rich."
His smile became cruel. "It will be delicious."
Damian stared at him in silence.
A second later, his face darkened completely. "Damn."
He slowly reached for Crimson Thunder Eclipse. "A cannibal."
Flame and thunder began crawling across the sword sheath.
Damian’s voice became cold. "Good. I’m killing you fast."
Kerran spread his arms with a cruel grin. "Then do it."
Blood mist surged around him like a living monster. "Show me how good you really are."
---
Damian stepped down from the carriage and slowly drew Crimson Thunder Eclipse.
The moment the blade left its sheath, crimson flames and purple thunder wrapped around the sword like angry serpents.
Kerran’s smile widened. "Good sword."
Damian grinned. "Of course. A handsome hero naturally needs a handsome weapon."
Miona’s mouth twitched despite the tension. "You’re still saying that now?"
Damian did not look back. "Junior Sister Miona, confidence is important in battle."
Kerran suddenly moved.
His figure turned into a blood-red blur, rushing toward Damian with terrifying speed. "Let me taste that confidence first!"
Blood Qi gathered around his fingers, forming claw-like blades.
[Blood Shadow Ripping Claw]!
Five crimson claw marks tore through the mist.
Damian’s gaze sharpened.
[Thunder Flash Steps]!
WHOOSH!
His figure vanished.
Kerran’s claws struck only empty air.
A split second later, Damian appeared beside him and swung Crimson Thunder Eclipse directly toward his ribs.
[Burning Thunder Sword Art]!
SLASH!
A crimson-gold sword light exploded outward.
Kerran’s expression changed for the first time.
He twisted his body quickly, but the sword still cut across his side.
Blood sprayed into the air.
Kerran retreated several steps and stared at the wound on his body. "The hell..."
Damian rested the sword on his shoulder and grinned. "What? Surprised?"
Kerran’s crimson eyes tightened. "How can you be this strong? You’re only a Peak Foundation Establishment cultivator."
Damian lifted his chin proudly. "Of course I’m strong. After all, I am a handsome hero."
Serina’s lips twitched slightly.
Miona gritted her teeth. "Can you not ruin a cool moment?"
Damian smiled. "Impossible."
Kerran’s face darkened. "You little bastard."
Blood mist surged around his body, and the wound on his side began closing at a visible speed.
Damian’s expression finally became more serious. "Tch. Blood Qi regeneration."
Kerran spread both hands.
[Blood River Coiling Chains]!
Streams of blood-red Qi shot out from the mist and twisted into chains, rushing toward Damian from every direction.
Damian stepped forward instead of retreating.
Chaos Qi surged through his throat.
[Lion Roar]!
"ROOOAAAR!"
The roar exploded across the valley.
The blood chains trembled violently, and several of them shattered in midair.
Kerran’s body stiffened for half a breath.
That half breath was enough.
Damian’s feet flashed with thunder.
[Thunder Flash Steps]!
He appeared directly in front of Kerran and slashed downward.
[Burning Thunder Sword Art]!
BOOM!
Kerran raised both arms, forming a blood shield.
The sword smashed into it and forced him several steps backward.
The ground beneath his feet cracked.
Serina’s eyes widened slightly. "He is actually pushing him back..."
Miona stared at Damian’s back, her expression shifting again and again. "Damn it... he really is strong."
Kerran roared, and his blood shield exploded outward.
Damian was pushed back, sliding across the ground, but he quickly stabilized himself.
His fingers tightened around Crimson Thunder Eclipse.
A sharp grin slowly appeared on his face. "Good."
Flame and thunder crawled along his blade again. "This is really the perfect test for my new power."
