Chapter 140: Rich Simp Reputation Pays
Damian looked at the system screen while walking back toward Selvara’s peak.
The moment he saw that Vulkara had triggered a critical reward, his grin immediately widened.
"Hehehe... as expected. Even though that little brat acted angry, she still accepted the gift and triggered a critical reward. What a tsundere."
---
[Gift: Top-Rank Profound Grade Heavenly Forge Tempering Art]
[Multiplier: 50×]
[Critical Reward Triggered]
[Reward: Noble Grade Blacksmithing Talent]
---
Damian smiled widely. "Very good."
His current Blacksmithing Talent was only Profound Grade.
With this reward, he could finally upgrade it to Noble Grade.
Damian rubbed his chin and nodded in satisfaction. "This is perfect. Maybe I can even teach Vulkara a little in the future. After all, I am her master. How can I not know anything about blacksmithing?"
His expression looked completely serious, as if he had not only become interested in blacksmithing because of system rewards.
A moment later, Damian suddenly noticed something strange.
His steps slowed.
He looked back at the system screen and narrowed his eyes. "Wait a minute... fifty times?"
Damian blinked. "How the hell did it become fifty times? Wasn’t Vulkara’s multiplier only thirty times before?"
He stopped walking and stared at the screen more carefully.
There was no mistake.
---
[Multiplier: 50×]
---
Damian frowned and started thinking.
This was different from Violetta’s situation.
Violetta’s multiplier had doubled because she reached Peak Emotional Trust, and the system had clearly notified him when that happened.
Vulkara had received no such notification.
Even when Damian upgraded her spiritual root to Profound Grade, her multiplier had not changed.
Yet now, for some reason, it had suddenly increased from thirty times to fifty times.
Damian rubbed his forehead.
"Did her trust increase? Did her fate change? Did becoming serious about blacksmithing affect something?"
The longer he thought about it, the more his head started to hurt.
Finally, he clicked his tongue. "Forget it. Thinking too much about the system is useless."
His grin quickly returned. "As long as the multiplier increases, why should I care about the reason? Fifty times is better than thirty times anyway."
Damian nodded proudly, completely satisfied with his own logic.
He resumed walking and soon changed direction toward the disciple park.
After all, he still had two gifting chances left.
Naturally, Damian had absolutely no intention of wasting them.
---
Damian’s reputation had always been strange inside the sect.
He was known as a shameless pervert who loved giving expensive gifts to beautiful women.
Because of that, whenever he appeared in crowded places, there were always a few women who intentionally walked nearby or tried to attract his attention.
They knew about his perverted personality, but many of them did not care.
What they cared about were the gifts Damian gave away.
After all, several women had already received valuable things from him, especially Raika and Akane. Akane, in particular, sometimes even boasted about the gifts Damian had given her.
Damian looked at the women approaching him and grinned.
"Goddamn. The rumor about me being a rich simp is useful too. I don’t even need to search for them anymore."
He quickly checked them one by one, but unfortunately, just like usual, the system barely reacted.
Even when it did, the multipliers were so small that Damian did not think they were worth investing in.
After walking around for quite a while, Damian finally found two women with decent multipliers.
---
[Multiplier: 50×]
[Multiplier: 50×]
---
Damian immediately focused his attention on them.
From the rumors surrounding the disciples, both women seemed to be top inner disciples.
They were clearly talented, though not famous enough to stand beside people like Raika or Akane.
Still, they were more than good enough for his current gifting chances.
Damian casually walked over, flirted with them for a while, made both women laugh and roll their eyes several times, then finally took out his gifts.
Each woman received ten ready-to-use Low-Rank Noble Grade Thunder Prison Binding Talismans.
The moment they realized what the gifts were, both women froze.
Only now did they finally understand that the rumors were not exaggerated at all.
Low-Rank Noble Grade talismans were already valuable enough.
Damian, however, had directly given them ten each.
Not ten to share.
Ten for each woman.
Damian smiled brightly. "Don’t look at me like that. Beautiful women deserve useful gifts."
One of them laughed. "Senior Brother Damian, are you really this generous with every woman?"
Damian placed a hand over his chest. "Only the beautiful ones, and you two just happen to be within the range of beauty I like."
The other woman immediately rolled her eyes. "What a shameless pervert."
Damian grinned. "But honest and generous, right?"
Neither woman could argue with that.
They directly accepted the talismans.
After all, these were extremely useful life-saving treasures for people at their level.
Why would they refuse?
Pride meant nothing if you were already dead.
Not long after, two system screens appeared.
---
[Gift Target]
[Gift: 10 Low-Rank Noble Grade Thunder Prison Binding Talismans]
[Multiplier: 50×]
[Critical Reward Triggered]
[Reward: Five Years of Talented Comprehension toward the Mid-Rank Royal Grade Blazing Heaven Sealing Talisman Formula]
---
Damian grinned when he saw that both screens contained exactly the same reward.
Comprehension rewards.
"Good, good. Comprehension rewards are useful too, especially when they’re for the new formula."
His grin widened.
"Now I don’t need to waste too much time learning it from the basics."
With all three gifting chances finally used, Damian returned to Selvara’s mountain peak.
When he arrived, he did not see Selvara anywhere.
Damian did not waste time searching for her.
Instead, he immediately returned to his room, partly because he did not want to accidentally provoke her when she came back.
The moment he entered, he closed the door and activated the room’s barrier formation.
Without wasting any more time, Damian took out the talent upgrade rewards and the Low-Rank King Grade Dragon Blood.
Just like usual, he decided to absorb everything at once. He placed the talent rewards against his forehead and activated them together with the Dragon Blood.
The next instant, his entire body twisted violently.
"AAAAAAAAARGH!"
Damian only managed to scream once before collapsing onto the bed.
His muscles tightened, his bones trembled, and his meridians burned as the system forcibly fused the talent upgrades and the Low-Rank King Grade Dragon Blood into his body at the same time.
