Chapter 133: Vivian’s Receipts Hit Hard

Damian kicked Garan a few more times to check if he was truly dead this time.

After there was no reaction for a while, he finally stopped kicking him.

Akane looked at him with a strange smile. "Are you done?"

Damian coughed lightly and straightened his clothes. "Of course. I was only making sure he wouldn’t jump up again like a damn zombie."

Raika glanced at Garan’s corpse. "He is dead."

Damian nodded. "Good."

Then he looked deeper into Redstone Valley.

Akane noticed his gaze and tilted her head. "What are you doing?"

Raika also looked at him. "The mission target is dead. We should return."

Damian suddenly grinned. "Return? Why would we return so quickly?"

Akane blinked. "Then what else do you want to do?"

Damian pointed toward the valley with a bright smile. "Of course, we check his base."

Raika narrowed her eyes slightly. "Base?"

Damian nodded seriously. "Think about it. This bastard robbed merchants, killed disciples, and stole resources for who knows how long. Someone like him must have hidden savings somewhere."

Akane’s eyes slowly brightened. "That... actually makes sense."

Damian spread his hands. "Right? Since we killed him, his treasure should naturally belong to us."

Raika stared at him silently.

Damian looked righteous. "What? This is not greed. This is justice."

Akane laughed softly. "Justice, huh?"

Raika said flatly, "Shameless."

Damian grinned. "But useful."

In the end, the two women still followed him deeper into Redstone Valley.

After searching for a while, Damian found a hidden cave behind a cracked red boulder.

The entrance was covered by a simple illusion formation, but Garan’s death had weakened the control over it.

Damian broke it open with one sword slash.

BANG!

Inside the cave were several storage boxes, spirit stones, pill bottles, weapons, herbs, and stolen merchant goods.

Damian’s eyes lit up. "Damn. This bastard was richer than he looked."

Akane looked around in surprise. "He really did hide a lot."

Raika checked the boxes carefully. "Some of these items have sect markings."

Damian nodded. "Then let’s not take those. We’ll only take the unmarked ones and split them."

Akane smiled. "Fair."

Raika thought for a moment, then nodded. "Acceptable."

Damian quickly divided the useful resources into three shares.

He did not try to cheat them either, which made both women look at him with slightly better eyes.

But just as they were about to leave, Damian noticed a black book hidden beneath a loose stone.

He picked it up and looked at the title.

[Blood Devouring Demonic Art]

Damian’s brows rose. "Well, shit. From the name alone, this must be a demonic art."

Akane’s expression turned serious. "Bring it back."

Raika nodded coldly. "Reporting a demonic cultivation manual will give extra contribution points."

Damian’s eyes brightened.

Then he grinned. "Good. Very good. Not only did we finish the mission, we even found bonus rewards."

He stored the book carefully and smiled wider. "Garan, you really were a generous bastard."

---

Inside the main peak of the Heavenly Sword Sect, Nolan sat alone in his room with a dark expression.

These past few days, his mood had been terrible.

Ever since his master placed him under house arrest, Nolan had been forced to stay inside his courtyard like a criminal.

He could not visit Elder Selvara’s mountain.

He could not confront Damian.

And because of that, his patience had already reached its limit.

Nolan sat beside the window, one hand resting on his sword hilt as his eyes stared coldly at the distant mountain peaks. "Damian..."

His voice was low and filled with killing intent.

The more he thought about that shameless bastard, the more irritated he became.

In Nolan’s eyes, Damian was still trash.

A spoiled young master.

A disgusting lecher.

A weak bastard who should have stayed in the mud where he belonged.

And yet somehow, that same Damian had become Elder Selvara’s disciple.

Worse, she even stood beside him as if he truly belonged there.

Nolan’s fingers tightened around his sword hilt.

"Just wait until the Sword Tomb opens. At that time, I will tear off that fake confidence of yours in front of everyone."

Just as that thought appeared, hurried footsteps suddenly came from outside.

A servant rushed into the courtyard and knocked anxiously on the door. "Young Master Nolan!"

Nolan frowned. "What happened?"

The servant’s voice trembled slightly. "Young Master, something bad happened."

Nolan’s expression immediately darkened. "Come in."

The servant quickly pushed the door open and entered.

He was a thin young man wearing plain servant robes, and his face was pale with nervousness.

Nolan looked at him coldly. "Speak. What happened?"

The servant swallowed hard.

Instead of answering immediately, he quickly took out a rolled bamboo scroll from his sleeve and held it out with both hands. "Young Master... please look at this."

Nolan frowned even deeper. "What is that?"

The servant lowered his head. "It is today’s cultivation news scroll."

Nolan’s face twitched slightly. "News scroll?"

That was right.

Even in this cultivation world, news still existed. Of course, it was not printed on paper like ordinary mortal newspapers.

Instead, most cultivation cities and sect markets used bamboo scrolls, jade slips, or spiritual message boards to spread news.

Not all of it was official either.

There were also gossip scrolls made by information factions that specialized in digging up rumors, scandals, and secrets, then selling them to the public.

Nolan usually did not care much about these things but seeing the servant’s pale face, Nolan suddenly had a bad feeling.

He reached out and grabbed the bamboo scroll.

The moment he opened it, several lines of glowing words appeared across the thin bamboo strips.

At first, Nolan only skimmed through it casually.

But after a while, his pupils shrank, and his expression twisted completely. "What the hell is this? Who the hell wrote this?"

The servant lowered his head even more and did not dare to speak.

Nolan stared at the bamboo scroll in his hands, his fingers trembling with rage.

At the top of the scroll, a bold headline glowed with spiritual ink.

[Shocking News: Righteous Genius Nolan Veyr’s Hidden Courtesan House History Exposed]

[According to several confirmed sources, Nolan Veyr, the youngest disciple of the Heavenly Sword Sect Master, repeatedly visited courtesan houses under fake names before entering the Heavenly Sword Sect.]

[Witnesses claim that Nolan Veyr did not merely listen to music or drink wine. He secretly spent nights with multiple courtesans while maintaining the public image of a righteous and pure genius cultivator.]

[Several courtesan houses also reported that Nolan often acted proud and arrogant, demanded high-class service, but paid far less than promised afterward.]

[Some sources even claim he looked down on courtesans in public while enjoying their company in private.]

---

Nolan’s breathing became heavier as his eyes turned bloodshot.

Then he slammed the bamboo scroll to the ground.

BANG!

He shouted out loud in anger, "This is slander! This is fucking slander! None of this is true!"

The servant jumped in fright and almost fell to his knees. After all, he had never seen Nolan this angry before.
