Chapter 132: Damian Skips Boss Monologue

Garan Blackscar glared at Damian, Akane, and Raika with bloodshot eyes as his dark black aura twisted around his body like smoke.

"I am Garan Blackscar. I have killed sect disciples, escaped elder hunts, and survived battles that would turn spoiled brats like you into corpses."

His scarred face twitched with rage. "And yet you dare treat me like some stray dog you can capture and drag back for a reward?"

The dark veins on his neck pulsed harder. "No... no, no, no. I won’t allow it."

He slowly raised his saber, his grin becoming savage. "I’ll show you what it means to be prey."

Damian stared at him for a moment and sighed. "Goddamn. As expected of a villain speech. So long and filled with unimportant things."

Garan’s eyes widened. "What did you..."

Before Garan could finish his line, thunder flashed beneath Damian’s feet.

CRACKLE!

Damian rushed forward directly, drawing his sword as [Thunder Flash Steps] carried him across the ground.

Then he shouted, "Come on, girls, attack! Why would we wait for a villain like you to finish talking?"

Akane blinked.

Raika paused for half a second.

Then both of them realized what had happened and nodded.

The next instant, Raika took out a talisman and flicked it forward.

[Thunder Net Locking Talisman]!

Golden lightning threads shot out and wrapped around Garan’s limbs like a net.

Garan’s body stiffened. "What?!"

Damian’s eyes widened slightly. "Yo, you already learned that?"

Raika looked calm. "Of course."

Damian grinned. "As expected of a genius."

Akane smiled from the side. "Then I can’t be left behind either."

She raised her hand and threw several small knife-like weapons toward Garan.

They spun through the air with faint red light, and the moment they reached Garan...

BOOM!

BOOM!

BOOM!

Explosions burst around him one after another.

Damian stared in surprise. "Damn. Explosion kunai?"

Akane’s eyes widened slightly. "You know this weapon?"

Damian was also surprised.

"Damn. No wonder their names are like that. Are they from that country?"

But on the outside, Damian only coughed lightly. "No. I just saw similar weapons before."

Akane nodded slowly. "I see."

Damian quickly raised his sword again. "Okay, enough talk. Let’s defeat Garan first."

Then he turned around and suddenly tilted his head in confusion as he looked at Garan. "Huh? Already finished?"

He looked at Garan Blackscar, who was lying face-down on the ground, twitching slightly under the remaining lightning and smoke.

For a moment, Damian was genuinely surprised.

"Wait. Isn’t this guy supposed to be a strong, ruthless demonic cultivator? How did he go down so easily from just Raika and Akane’s attacks?"

Damian narrowed his eyes suspiciously and slowly walked forward.

Then he lightly kicked Garan’s head with his foot. "Hey. Are you really down?"

The next instant, Garan’s eyes suddenly snapped open.

His bloodshot gaze locked onto Damian with insane rage. "You bastard!"

Garan roared and grabbed his dark saber.

His body twisted up from the ground like a corpse suddenly coming back to life. Black-red Demonic Qi erupted around him as he slashed directly toward Damian’s neck.

Garan had only been faking his collapse.

He wanted to use Damian’s carelessness to cut him down in one strike, basically bluffing him as a last act of revenge.

"DIE!!!"

But unfortunately for him, Damian’s reaction was no longer the same as before.

After Selvara’s hell training, Damian’s body moved before his thoughts even finished forming.

Damian instantly drew his new weapon, the High-Rank Royal Grade Sword, Crimson Thunder Eclipse.

The blade flashed with crimson lightning and burning sword Qi as Damian unleashed [Burning Thunder Sword Art] without hesitation.

CRACKLE!

BOOM!

A crimson thunder slash tore through the air.

Garan’s saber had only moved halfway before the burning lightning sword light passed across his body.

For a brief second, Garan froze, his eyes widening as he failed to understand what had just happened.

Soon, a thin line of blood appeared across his chest. The next moment, his body collapsed to the ground.

THUD!

Garan Blackscar died without even finishing his final attack.

Damian stared at the corpse for a moment before his face darkened, and he cursed loudly.

"Damn it! You goddamn bastard! Why did you suddenly burst up like a zombie?!"

He kicked Garan’s corpse angrily. "You almost scared me to death! Just who do you think you are?!"

Behind him, Akane and Raika were silent.

Both women stared at Damian’s sword with shocked eyes because that slash just now had been too fast and powerful.

Even Raika, who was always calm, could not fully hide the slight movement in her eyes.

Meanwhile, Akane slowly looked at Damian’s back.

His shameless mouth was still cursing, but the sword in his hand burned with crimson lightning, making his figure look strangely heroic.

For a brief moment, Akane’s heart skipped slightly.

"This shameless, perverted man... He is actually very handsome when he fights."

Then she remembered how generous he was, how strong he had become, and how he still joked even in danger.

The more she thought about it, the stranger her expression became.

"Strong, funny, shameless, perverted, and generous... Wait. Isn’t that basically a perfect man?"

Akane blinked, then almost laughed at herself.

"No, no. Perfect is too much. He is still way too shameless."

Even so, the smile on her lips did not disappear.

Meanwhile, Raika also looked at Damian silently. Her expression did not change much, but her yellow eyes stayed on him a little longer than usual.

"Not bad."

Then, after a short pause, another thought appeared in her mind.

"Just as expected of the man I am interested in. Strong and handsome."

The moment that thought appeared, Raika’s eyes froze slightly.

"What the hell am I thinking?"

She wanted to erase that thought immediately. But strangely, she could not.

After a moment of silence, Raika realized something very annoying.

That thought had indeed been her true feeling.

Even if she did not want to admit it.

Even if she disliked Damian’s shameless mouth.

Even if she still thought he was suspicious, perverted, and far too casual around women.

She was still interested in him.

However, Raika’s expression remained cold as even if it was the truth, she would absolutely never say any of that out loud.

Damian turned back and saw the two women staring at him.

He blinked. "What?"

Akane smiled brightly. "Nothing."

Raika looked away. "You were acceptable."

Damian’s mouth twitched. "Acceptable? I just killed a demonic cultivator who jumped like a damn zombie."

Raika said flatly, "Barely acceptable."

Damian sighed deeply. "Cold women really are impossible."
