Chapter 130: Trap So Bad It Works

Damian looked at Akane and Raika for a moment, then suddenly smiled. "Before we start, we need proper bait."

Akane blinked. "Proper bait?"

Raika narrowed her eyes slightly. "What are you planning?"

Damian did not answer immediately.

Instead, he waved his hand, and several sets of women’s clothes appeared from his storage ring.

The moment Akane and Raika saw them, both of their expressions changed.

The clothes were beautiful, expensive, and clearly made from high-quality fabric.

But they were also a little too eye-catching.

Some were elegant, some were flashy, and some looked slightly sexy and suggestive.

Akane stared at the clothes, then slowly looked at Damian. "Why do you have these?"

Raika’s eyes became colder. "Explain."

Damian coughed lightly. "Of course, they’re for gifts."

Akane raised an eyebrow. "Gifts?"

Damian nodded seriously. "Yes. Gifts for future use. Also, for my disciples if needed. Don’t think too much."

Raika said flatly, "Suspicious."

Akane also looked at him with clear suspicion.

But after remembering what kind of shameless pervert Damian was, both women could only sigh inwardly.

This really did seem like something he would keep in his storage ring.

Damian’s mouth twitched. "Can you not judge me so quickly?"

Raika answered without hesitation. "No."

Akane smiled helplessly. "Honestly, it is hard not to."

Damian sighed, then pointed at the clothes. "Anyway, just wear them."

Akane looked at him silently.

Raika’s hand slowly moved toward her sword.

Damian quickly said, "Wait, listen first. If you wear your normal disciple robes, Garan may suspect something. But if you wear these, that bastard will think you are young mistresses or young princesses from some rich family."

He grinned. "And if he thinks that, he will want to rob us even more."

Akane touched her chin. "That... actually makes sense."

Raika stared at Damian for a long moment.

Then she clicked her tongue. "Annoying."

Damian smiled. "But effective."

In the end, Akane and Raika could only grit their teeth and take the clothes.

Damian immediately turned around. "Okay, while you two change, I’ll go out for a bit."

Akane frowned. "Where are you going?"

Damian waved his hand. "Not far. There seems to be a small city nearby. I’ll buy a cart."

Raika said coldly, "Do not peep."

Damian almost choked. "Raika, please. I have principles."

Raika stared at him.

Akane also stared at him.

Damian coughed. "Fine. I won’t."

After saying that, Damian quickly left.

Not long after, he returned while pulling a cart behind him.

The inside of the cart was actually simple, but the outside was extremely flashy.

It had golden paint, bright red curtains, fake jade decorations, and even a few useless shining ornaments hanging from the frame.

Akane stared at it. "This is..."

Raika said flatly, "Ugly."

Damian grinned proudly. "No, this is perfect."

Akane’s mouth twitched. "Perfectly tacky."

Damian nodded. "Exactly. It screams rich idiot."

Raika looked at him. "So you are playing yourself."

Damian froze.

Akane immediately laughed.

Damian cleared his throat. "Anyway, now that everything is ready..."

He looked at the flashy cart, then at the two beautifully dressed women.

His grin became sharper. "Let’s go."

---

Not long after Damian’s flashy cart entered the narrow road of Redstone Valley, a pair of cold eyes opened from the shadows of the cliff.

Behind a large red boulder, a scarred man crouched silently.

His face was rough, one eye carried a long black scar, and a dark saber rested across his back.

This man was Garan Blackscar.

At first, Garan only watched quietly.

Then his brows slowly furrowed. "A cart? Why would someone suddenly dare to pass through here?"

He had already made Redstone Valley famous recently through his actions.

By now, anyone with a working brain should know that this road was extremely dangerous.

So the only thought that appeared in Garan’s mind after seeing this cart was one thing.

"Is this a trap?"

But he did not know whether it was really a trap or not, so he stared at the cart for a long time.

Soon, he caught a glimpse of what was inside.

Inside the cart were two women.

Even from a distance, he could see that their clothes looked expensive, elegant, and eye-catching.

They looked exactly like spoiled young mistresses from rich families who had no idea how cruel the outside world really was.

Paired with the overly flashy cart filled with expensive decorations, Garan really could not tell if this was a trap or not.

Garan frowned again. "Do they think I am so stupid that I will fall for such a simple trick?"

His eyes narrowed.

"No. Too obvious. This is clearly trying to bait me."

But after thinking for a while, his suspicion slowly began to change.

Because there was no way a real trap would be this stupid and open.

They should know who he was.

He was Garan Blackscar.

A cunning rogue cultivator who had survived multiple hunts from sect disciples, bounty hunters, and rival criminals.

He was not some brainless fool who would charge at bait the moment he saw something shiny. So if this was really a trap, how could they make it this obvious?

How could they send two beautiful women into a dangerous road while riding in a cart that practically screamed, "Please rob me"?

The more Garan thought about it, the more unreasonable it felt. And in that exact moment, Garan’s eyes slowly brightened.

"Wait a minute... could it be that this is not a trap at all?"

After all, he had not attacked anyone for quite some time because of his injury.

Many people probably thought he had already left Redstone Valley.

And because of his fierce reputation, ordinary bandits and beasts would not dare to get close to this area either.

In other words, to some rich idiots, this road might actually look safe now.

The more Garan thought about it, the more reasonable it became.

His suspicion slowly turned into confidence.

Then his confidence turned into arrogance.

Finally, a grin appeared on his scarred face as he gripped the saber on his back. "How stupid. To think you actually believe I am gone."

His eyes became cruel. "But I am still here."

He licked his lips and stared at the cart. "It’s your own fault for being so confident while entering my territory."

A low laugh escaped his throat. "Hehehe... since you delivered yourselves to me, don’t blame me for being ruthless."

Unknown to him, the moment he smiled like that, he had already fallen into Damian’s trap.
