Chapter 115: Very Unconvincing Protection
Finally, Saturday arrived.
The moment Damian opened his eyes, his mood became much better than usual.
After several days of being tortured by Selvara’s training, he was finally able to go down the mountain.
Damian sat up on his bed and stretched lazily. "Damn... Saturday really feels beautiful."
Then his eyes slowly shifted toward the system screen in front of him.
[Weekly Gifting Chances: 3]
Damian rubbed his chin. "Only three, huh?"
He sighed slightly. "Still not fully refreshed."
Originally, he had hoped all his gifting chances would return at once, but it seemed the system was not that generous.
Still, three chances were better than nothing.
Damian leaned back and thought seriously.
"Hmm... who should I gift this time?"
There were several targets already.
Selvara had a terrifying 500× multiplier.
Violetta had reached Peak Emotional Trust, which meant her gift rewards were basically guaranteed critical hits.
Vulkara was growing steadily and had started blacksmithing.
Raika and Akane were also valuable targets.
And now that they were going to bring Violetta to a new place filled with music-based cultivators, there was a chance he might meet even more beautiful treasure chests.
Damian’s eyes slowly brightened. "Hehehe... these days might be harvest days."
After washing up and fixing his clothes, Damian stepped out of his room with a relaxed smile.
However, the moment he walked outside, he froze because Selvara was standing in the courtyard.
Damian’s smile stiffened. "Master... good morning."
Selvara looked at him calmly. "Where are you going?"
Damian immediately straightened his back. "Master, don’t misunderstand. I am not trying to run away again."
Selvara raised an eyebrow. "Again?"
Damian coughed. "I mean, I was never running away in the first place."
Selvara stared at him silently.
Damian quickly changed his tone. "Actually, Master, I came out to ask for permission."
Selvara’s expression eased slightly. "Permission?"
Damian nodded seriously. "Yes. Since we are going out tomorrow, I wanted to prepare properly."
Selvara looked at him for a few seconds before finally saying, "Good. Then take Violetta and go to the Blacksmith Hall first."
Damian blinked. "Blacksmith Hall?"
Selvara nodded. "Violetta is leaving soon. Before that, she should say goodbye to her fellow disciple, Vulkara."
Damian immediately understood.
Vulkara had been staying in the Blacksmith Hall these past few days, learning from Elder Garron.
Since Violetta was about to leave for a new cultivation path, it was only right for her to say goodbye first.
Damian nodded. "Understood, Master."
At that moment, Violetta walked out from the side courtyard with her flute in hand.
Her expression was calm, but there was a faint reluctance hidden in her eyes.
Damian looked at her and smiled. "Let’s go, Violetta. We need to visit the fiery brat first."
Violetta nodded softly. "Yes, Master."
Selvara glanced at them and said calmly, "Do not cause trouble."
Damian immediately placed a hand on his chest. "Master, when have I ever caused trouble?"
Selvara looked at him.
Violetta quietly looked away.
Damian’s mouth twitched. "Fine. I will try not to cause trouble."
Selvara nodded faintly. "Go."
Damian smiled, then turned and walked down the mountain.
Violetta followed beside him quietly.
---
Damian walked down the mountain with Violetta beside him.
The two of them moved along the stone path toward the Blacksmith Hall, and as they passed through the inner disciple area, many disciples immediately noticed them.
More accurately, they noticed Violetta first.
Her calm beauty, elegant posture, and gentle aura naturally attracted attention wherever she went.
With her flute in hand and Selvara’s token hanging on her chest, she looked like someone who did not belong in the noisy crowd of ordinary disciples.
Then those same disciples noticed Damian walking beside her.
In an instant, several male disciples felt their hearts turn sour.
"Damn it. Why is Core Disciple Damian always surrounded by beautiful women?"
"First, that fiery red-haired girl, and now this gentle beauty too?"
"Isn’t his luck too good?"
However, even though their hearts were full of jealousy, no one dared to say anything out loud.
After all, Damian’s identity was not ordinary.
He was Elder Selvara’s core disciple.
And more importantly, anyone who had heard the recent rumors knew he was not someone easy to provoke.
So, under many jealous gazes, Damian calmly brought Violetta all the way to the Blacksmith Hall.
Soon, the sound of hammers striking metal echoed from ahead.
CLANG!
CLANG!
BANG!
Waves of heat rolled out from the hall, and thick smoke rose from the furnace towers behind it.
Damian stopped at the entrance and looked at one of the Blacksmith Hall disciples standing nearby. "Go call Elder Garron for me."
The disciple turned around and immediately recognized Damian. "Core Disciple Damian?"
Damian nodded. "Yes. Tell him I came to visit."
The disciple quickly cupped his hands. "Understood."
However, before leaving, his eyes accidentally moved toward Violetta.
The moment he saw her face clearly, he froze slightly.
Damian narrowed his eyes. "Hey. What are you staring at?"
The disciple instantly snapped back to himself and lowered his head. "N-Nothing, Senior Brother Damian!"
Damian snorted. "Then go."
"Yes!"
The disciple hurried into the Blacksmith Hall.
Violetta glanced at Damian and smiled softly. "Master, you scared him."
Damian looked righteous. "I was protecting my disciple from shameless men."
Violetta’s smile became a little strange.
For some reason, hearing Damian say that felt very unconvincing.
Not long after, loud footsteps came from inside the hall.
Elder Garron soon walked out with his thick arms crossed and a rough grin on his face. "Oh? Damian, you’re here."
Before Damian could answer, a familiar red-haired figure appeared behind Garron.
Vulkara’s eyes widened when she saw them. "Master? Sister Violetta? Why are you here?"
Damian smiled. "We came to talk about something."
Vulkara blinked, then looked at Violetta.
Violetta smiled gently. "Junior Sister."
Vulkara’s expression became curious, but before she could ask more, Garron’s eyes landed on Violetta.
The old blacksmith stared for a moment before rubbing his beard. "Goddamn, Damian. Your other disciple is beautiful too?"
Damian immediately laughed proudly. "Hahaha! Elder Garron, you have good eyes."
Violetta lowered her head slightly, while Vulkara rolled her eyes.
Garron looked at Damian, then noticed the faint seriousness behind his smile.
His grin slowly faded a little. "You didn’t come here just to show off your disciple, did you?"
Damian shook his head. "Elder Garron, I want to talk about something. Can we?"
Garron immediately understood and nodded. "Fine. Come inside."
Damian looked toward Violetta. "Violetta, you can talk to Vulkara first."
Vulkara quickly walked over and grabbed Violetta’s sleeve. "Come here, Sister. Let’s go to my room."
Violetta nodded softly. "Alright."
After saying that, Violetta followed Vulkara into the Blacksmith Hall, leaving Damian and Elder Garron behind at the entrance.
