Chapter 113: Revenge Gets Delayed Strategically

The terrifying sword pressure burst out from Selvara’s body like a storm, quickly suppressing the air in the courtyard.

Even the trees around them stopped moving, as if the whole mountain peak had frozen under her anger.

Damian quickly stepped forward and raised both hands toward Selvara. "Master, calm down. Please calm down first."

Selvara’s silver eyes were cold. "Calm down?"

Damian nodded quickly. "Yes, Master. I know you’re angry, and of course, I am angry too. But he is the Sect Master’s disciple. We can’t do anything to him yet."

Selvara’s eyes narrowed slightly.

The word "yet" made her sword pressure pause for a moment.

Damian secretly breathed out in relief, then continued, "Also, there are a lot of bastards like him in this world. If we rush now, the Sect Master might just say Nolan only made one mistake in the past, and he has already destroyed many demonic factions as payment for his crimes."

His eyes became colder. "And if that happens, the matter will only become more complicated."

Selvara was silent.

The terrifying pressure around her slowly weakened.

Damian knew his master was not stupid. She was angry, but she could still understand the situation.

After a moment, Damian turned toward Violetta. "How did you know Nolan was here? Did you meet him?"

Violetta wiped her tears and nodded softly. "Yes. I went to the disciple area earlier. There was a crowd, and everyone said the Sect Master’s youngest disciple had returned. That’s when I saw him."

Damian frowned. "Did he see you?"

Violetta shook her head. "No. There were many disciples there, so he probably didn’t notice me."

Damian’s expression relaxed a little. "Okay. That’s good then."

At least Nolan did not know Violetta was here yet.

That gave them time.

Selvara looked at Damian again. "So about your words earlier..."

Damian turned back to her.

Selvara’s voice was cold. "Are you telling me to let him go?"

Damian’s face twisted immediately. "Let him go? Hell no."

Violetta looked at him.

Damian’s eyes became sharp. "He is a stupid bastard who destroyed my precious treasure chest’s life. How can I not hate him?"

Violetta froze slightly.

For some reason, even though Damian’s words were strange, her heart still warmed.

Damian continued, "But Master, we can’t take revenge now. Nolan has an important position, and moving against him directly will only give other people a reason to protect him."

Then he looked at Violetta. "Besides, I want Violetta to take revenge herself."

Violetta’s eyes trembled.

Damian smiled faintly. "After all, the sweetest revenge is the one taken by your own hands."

Selvara turned toward Violetta. "Is that what you want?"

Violetta slowly clenched her fists.

After a few breaths, she nodded. "Yes, Grandmaster. Please don’t interfere for now."

Her voice became steadier. "I want to handle this myself."

Selvara looked at her quietly for a moment before finally nodding. "Good."

Then her gaze softened slightly. "As expected of my grand-disciple. You are a perfect disciple."

Violetta lowered her head. "Thank you, Grandmaster."

Selvara then looked at Damian. "And you are good too."

Damian blinked.

For a moment, he almost felt touched.

But Selvara continued calmly, "If not for your perverted, simping personality, you would be perfect."

Damian’s face froze.

Violetta lowered her head, trying not to laugh.

Damian frowned and looked at Selvara. "Master, why do you always need to point out those things?"

Selvara looked at him calmly. "Because they are true."

Damian clutched his chest. "Damn. Even when praising me, Master still knows how to stab my heart."

Selvara turned away. "Then become less shameless."

Damian sighed deeply. "That might be harder than revenge."

Violetta finally let out a soft laugh.

The anger in the courtyard had not disappeared completely, but at least, for now, the terrifying pressure had faded.

---

Selvara looked at Violetta for a moment before speaking calmly. "Violetta, you cannot stay in this sect anymore."

Violetta froze. "Grandmaster?"

Damian also blinked. "Master?"

Selvara’s expression remained calm. "Nolan is here. That alone is already a problem."

Violetta lowered her head slightly.

Selvara continued, "But that is not the only reason. If you truly want revenge, you need to become stronger. Staying here will not help you much."

Damian opened his mouth, but Selvara glanced at him.

He immediately closed it.

Selvara looked back at Violetta. "This is the Heavenly Sword Sect. Our foundation is sword cultivation. Your cultivation path is based on music and songs. Your martial art does not match this place."

Violetta’s fingers tightened slightly around her flute.

Selvara then glanced at Damian. "And I doubt your master can teach you much about it."

Damian’s mouth twitched. "Master, that’s a little too direct..."

Selvara said flatly, "You only took her as a disciple because of your perverted thoughts."

Damian immediately wanted to argue.

But the moment he saw Selvara’s cold eyes, he silently swallowed his words.

"Damn it. Why does that sound wrong and right at the same time? Damn you previous owner!"

Selvara ignored him and asked Violetta, "So, what do you want to do?"

Violetta raised her head slowly. "What do I want to do?"

Selvara nodded. "If you want to leave the sect, I can bring you to another place. A place where your path will suit you better."

Violetta’s eyes widened slightly. "Another place?"

"Yes," Selvara said calmly. "There, you can learn and cultivate more intensively than you can here. You will have people who understand music-based cultivation and can guide your art properly."

Damian looked at Selvara in surprise.

He had not expected his master to arrange this far ahead.

Violetta held her flute closer to her chest, her expression becoming complicated.

Leaving the Heavenly Sword Sect meant leaving Damian, Vulkara, and the peaceful courtyard she had just started to accept.

But staying here meant walking a path that did not fully belong to her.

Selvara did not rush her.

Damian also stayed silent.

For a long moment, Violetta lowered her eyes and quietly thought about it.
