Chapter 112: Even Support Has Insults

Damian followed behind Selvara in silence for a while after they left the Sect Master’s main peak.

The air around Selvara was colder than usual.

Even without looking at her face, Damian could feel that his master was truly angry.

He coughed lightly. "Master, calm down. Don’t be angry."

Selvara stopped walking and looked at him. "Not angry?"

Her silver eyes became colder. "He questioned my disciple right in front of me. How dare he?"

Damian’s heart warmed a little.

Although Selvara was terrifying most of the time, hearing her say that still made him feel oddly touched.

Selvara then asked, "Do you know him?"

Damian thought for a moment before shaking his head. "Actually, I don’t remember him."

Selvara frowned slightly.

Damian smiled helplessly. "But just like he said, in the past, I was indeed like that."

He rubbed his chin and continued, "And judging from the Sect Master’s story, Nolan used to be a lowly cultivator with a rough background. So even if I met him once back then, he was probably just another weak cultivator in my eyes."

Damian shrugged. "Of course I wouldn’t remember him."

Selvara looked at him silently.

Damian quickly added, "But don’t worry, Master. I have changed."

Selvara nodded faintly. "You do not need to tell me that. I already know."

Damian blinked. "You do?"

Selvara said calmly, "When we first came here, your disciples already told me some things about you. Besides, I believe what I see with my own eyes."

She glanced at him. "Someone truly useless could never survive my training."

Damian’s mouth twitched as memories of Selvara’s brutal training flashed through his mind.

He nodded slowly. "Yeah... that’s right. How could a useless person survive Master’s brutal, hellish training?"

Selvara’s eyes narrowed. "What did you say?"

Damian immediately straightened. "I mean Master’s lovely training."

Selvara stared at him for a moment before turning away.

Then she said calmly, "Do not worry, Damian. You are my core disciple. No matter how lecherous, perverted, stupid, idiotic, or shameless you are, I will still support you."

Damian froze.

For a second, he felt genuinely happy.

Then the words fully sank in.

His mouth twitched. "Master... I am really touched that you support me."

Selvara glanced at him.

Damian sighed. "But can you maybe leave out those words before that?"

Selvara looked ahead calmly. "No."

Damian lowered his head and muttered, "Damn. Even support from Master hurts."

---

When Damian and Selvara returned to their mountain peak, the atmosphere was strangely heavy.

At first, Damian thought it was just his imagination.

After all, he had just met Nolan, the classic protagonist-template bastard, and watched Selvara get angry enough to freeze the main hall.

But the moment they entered the courtyard, both of them stopped.

BOOM!

A heavy sword smashed into the ground.

Cracks spread across the stone floor.

In the middle of the courtyard, Violetta was holding one of the heavy training swords Damian usually used during Selvara’s brutal training.

That sword was not meant for normal use.

It was thick, ugly, and ridiculously heavy, more like a metal slab than a proper sword.

Yet Violetta was gripping it with both hands, swinging it again and again like she had lost her mind.

BOOM!

BOOM!

BOOM!

Every swing smashed into the ground, sending dust and broken stones flying.

Her normally calm face was pale, her breathing was uneven, and her gentle eyes were filled with hatred and pain.

Selvara frowned immediately. "What happened?"

Damian’s expression also changed. "I don’t know, Master."

Selvara glanced at him coldly. "You were her master from the start."

Damian’s mouth twitched. "Master, that doesn’t mean I can read her mind."

But after saying that, Damian suddenly froze as he realized something.

The protagonist was from the same hometown as him. In other words, it was also the same hometown as Violetta.

And Violetta currently wanted revenge on a certain protagonist who had destroyed her entire life.

Now Nolan had appeared in the Heavenly Sword Sect.

"Wait a minute..."

"Don’t tell me..."

Damian walked forward quickly. "Violetta!"

Violetta raised the heavy sword again.

BOOM!

The sword slammed into the ground, and only then did she seem to hear his voice.

She slowly turned around.

The moment she saw Damian, her expression trembled. "Master..."

Damian walked closer and frowned. "What the hell happened? Is this because of Nolan?"

Violetta froze.

Her fingers tightened around the heavy sword as surprise flashed across her face. "Master... how do you know?"

Damian’s expression became colder.

"So it really is him."

Behind him, Selvara’s brows also furrowed deeply when she heard Nolan’s name again.

Her voice became cold. "Nolan?"

The air around the courtyard seemed to sharpen.

Selvara looked at Violetta. "What happened? Tell me."

Violetta lowered her head, but her hands were still shaking.

Damian reached her side and gently pulled the heavy sword from her grip.

At first, Violetta did not let go.

Damian softened his voice. "Calm down first."

Violetta’s eyes trembled.

After a few breaths, her fingers finally loosened.

Damian placed the heavy sword aside, then looked at Selvara. "Master, before I took Violetta in, her past was... complicated."

Selvara did not speak.

Damian continued calmly, "She worked as a courtesan to support her poor family. Later, she met a genius young master and believed he cared about her."

Violetta’s face became even paler.

Damian’s eyes became colder. "But because that young master had enemies, her family became a target. They were kidnapped and used to lure him out. When Violetta begged him to save them, he said he had something else to do and promised to rescue them later."

His voice lowered. "But he never did."

Selvara’s expression turned colder.

Damian continued, "Her family died. When Violetta blamed him, he called it bad luck and said she was unreasonable."

The courtyard became silent.

Damian looked at Violetta for a moment, then continued, "Later, one of his enemies used her as bait. Without knowing anything, she accidentally leaked information that caused him a loss. He survived, grew stronger, then blamed her for everything."

Selvara’s silver eyes became terrifyingly sharp.

Damian’s voice became calm, but his anger was clear. "She tried to explain, but he ignored her. He crippled her spiritual root and broke one of her legs. Then he spared her life because of their past relationship and acted like that was mercy."

Violetta lowered her head, tears quietly falling.

Damian looked at Selvara and said, "That man was Nolan."

For a moment, Selvara said nothing.

But suddenly, a terrifying sword pressure burst out from her body.

Damian’s heart jumped.

"Damn... Master’s anger just went through the roof."
