Chapter 110: Violetta Finds Her Nightmare

Violetta hesitated for a moment before slowly moving closer to the stone plaza.

She did not usually like crowded places.

Too many eyes, too many voices, and too many people always made her feel uncomfortable.

But this time, curiosity still pulled her forward.

After all, the person everyone was talking about was the Sect Master’s youngest disciple.

Her grandmaster, Elder Selvara, had a very high position in the Heavenly Sword Sect.

Since this person was the youngest disciple of the Sect Master, he was probably important enough for her to know about.

Violetta stood near the back of the crowd and quietly looked ahead.

Several disciples were gathered around the plaza, whispering excitedly.

"He really came back."

"I heard he completed a dangerous mission alone."

"As expected of the Sect Master’s youngest disciple."

Violetta listened silently.

Soon, the disciple crowd shifted slightly, allowing her to see.

A young man in clean white robes walked into the plaza with calm steps.

He had a handsome face, clear eyes, and a gentle smile that made him look righteous and harmless. His posture was straight, and his aura was bright, like someone favored by the heavens.

For a moment, Violetta only stared.

But after looking at him more carefully, her fingers and legs trembled as her face lost all color.

"No..."

Her breathing became uneven.

"Why is he here?"

The young man continued walking, smiling faintly as several disciples greeted him.

He did not notice Violetta at all because she was hidden among the crowd.

But Violetta knew that face.

And she would never forget it in her life.

Even if he turned into ashes, even if ten years passed, even if the entire world tried to tell her she was mistaken, she would never forget that face.

This person was the bastard who destroyed her family.

Basically, he was the one who ruined her life before Damian saved her.

The person who should have been far away from her life had suddenly appeared in front of her as the Sect Master’s youngest disciple.

Violetta’s chest tightened so painfully that she almost could not breathe.

"The Sect Master’s youngest disciple... is this bastard? How can this be?"

For a second, killing intent flickered in her eyes.

But she quickly suppressed it.

This was not the place, and she was not strong enough.

Not only that, but this bastard was the Sect Master’s youngest disciple, so getting revenge was far more dangerous and harder than she had imagined.

Without saying a word, Violetta turned around and ran back, wanting to tell this news to her master first.

Meanwhile, several nearby disciples looked at her in surprise.

"Eh? Why is she running?"

"Did something happen?"

But after a few glances, no one cared enough to chase after her.

They were too focused on the Sect Master’s youngest disciple.

---

Selvara brought Damian to the main peak of the Heavenly Sword Sect, where the Sect Master stayed.

When they arrived, Sect Master Arven was already sitting calmly with a smile on his face.

Selvara stepped inside and asked directly, "Where is Nolan?"

Damian’s ears immediately perked up.

"Nolan? So that’s the youngest disciple’s name."

Arven smiled calmly. "Wait a minute, will you? He is meeting some disciples first. He just returned, so many people want to greet him."

Selvara frowned slightly but did not say anything.

Damian, however, could not hold back his curiosity. "Sect Master, may I ask who this Nolan is? How good is he?"

Arven looked at Damian, and his smile deepened. "Nolan is my youngest disciple."

Damian stayed silent, wanting to hear more about this youngest disciple’s background first.

After all, he needed to know whether this guy was dangerous or not.

Arven continued, "His background is not good. He was born in a small ruined village near the border. His family was killed by a demonic organization when he was young, and the girl he loved also died protecting him."

Damian’s expression slowly became strange.

"Wait... why does this sound so familiar?"

Arven’s voice became calmer. "After that, Nolan wandered alone for years. He survived assassins, beasts, betrayal, poison, and several life-and-death traps. When I found him, he had already destroyed three branch bases of that evil organization by himself."

Damian’s mouth twitched.

"Yep. That is a protagonist. One hundred percent protagonist material."

Arven smiled faintly. "Since joining the sect, he has killed many evil cultivators, exposed hidden spies, completed dangerous missions, and saved several disciples outside the sect."

Damian’s heart sank deeper.

"Dead girlfriend, tragic village, evil organization, revenge path, saves disciples... damn it, this guy is not simple at all."

Just then, footsteps sounded outside the hall, and a calm voice appeared. "Master, I have returned."

Damian slowly turned his head, and the moment he saw Nolan clearly, his expression froze.

The young man had a handsome face, calm eyes, clean white robes, and an aura that felt righteous, sharp, and annoyingly bright.

More importantly, that face, that posture, that tragic-but-determined atmosphere around him... everything smelled like a protagonist.

Damian’s mouth twitched slightly.

"Damn it. This guy is really using the classic protagonist template."

Nolan walked into the hall with steady steps and cupped his hands toward Arven. "Master."

Arven nodded with a gentle smile. "Good. Since you are here, greet Elder Selvara first."

Nolan immediately turned toward Selvara and bowed respectfully. "Disciple Nolan greets Elder Selvara."

Selvara looked at him calmly and gave a faint nod. "You have improved."

Nolan’s expression remained humble. "Thank you, Elder."

Arven then looked toward Damian and said, "This is Damian, Selvara’s new core disciple."

Damian straightened his back and gave a polite smile. "Nice to meet you."

However, the moment Nolan’s eyes landed on Damian’s face, his calm expression suddenly changed.

His brows furrowed as his eyes narrowed. "How the hell can you be here?"

The hall instantly became quiet.

Arven’s smile paused slightly.

Selvara’s eyes narrowed.

Damian blinked, then slowly raised an eyebrow. "You know me?"

Nolan stared at him coldly, as if he had seen someone who should not exist inside the Heavenly Sword Sect.

Damian’s heart sank a little.

"Oh, come on. Don’t tell me this dangerous protagonist already has beef with me too."
