Chapter 471: Chapter 468: Asking for Help

But I never expected to hear them arguing again early this morning.

However, the fact that these two could squabble constantly without falling apart was somewhat admirable to He Qianhui and Zhang Hao.

He Qianhui carried the noodles to the door and tiptoed to peer through the peephole.

At that moment, she really wanted to open the door to watch the commotion but was afraid of bringing trouble upon herself.

But Zhang Hao boldly opened the door, rubbing his eyes and said, "What’s all the noise about? Can’t you let people rest in the early morning?"

His shout suddenly silenced the quarreling pair.

The girl quickly approached Zhang Hao: "So what if I’m arguing, what’s it to you? Don’t think I don’t know, you’re in on this with my boyfriend now."

"Calling on his behalf, finding rental car services for him, if you’re so eager to help him, why don’t you just be his boyfriend?"

I had no idea what had upset this girl so much, but she vented all her anger on Zhang Hao.

Zhang Hao felt aggrieved too, so He Qianhui quickly set down her bowl and strode over.

"Girl, what do your problems with your boyfriend have to do with me? Your boyfriend came asking for our help, and we were kind enough to assist. Is that wrong?"

"If you really want to break up, just buy a ticket and go back home. I don’t believe such a grown man can be helpless here."

"I get it, sometimes fights are just a bit of spice in a couple’s life, but we are innocent bystanders."

"Just now, you took all your anger out on my husband. He might tolerate it, but I won’t."

"From now on, if the two of you argue even a word more and disturb our rest, I’ll complain to the hotel."

After saying this, He Qianhui turned around and went back to her room, slamming the door shut.

The result was that the noise outside got even louder; the girl didn’t hold back at all.

He Qianhui wasn’t about to indulge her temper, so she picked up the phone and called the front desk.

She explained the situation; as for how the hotel would handle it, it was no longer within her control.

In about ten minutes or so, the noise finally stopped.

The good mood of the morning had been completely disrupted by this girl.

By the time the two of them had gathered their things and gone downstairs, they saw that the bickering couple had indeed been ejected by the hotel staff.

The girl was still cursing, saying things like "Do you know who my father is?" as if she couldn’t believe they dared to treat her this way.

Nonetheless, the hotel stood firm, stating they received complaints from other guests.

For the rest of the guests to have peace, they had no choice but to ask them to find another place to stay and even refunded their room charges for the two days.

Just as He Qianhui and Zhang Hao came out together, the girl quickly walked over: "It was you who reported us, wasn’t it? I didn’t expect you to be so petty."

He Qianhui gave her a disdainful look and quickly walked away, pulling Zhang Hao along.

It was the guy who came over proactively: "I’m sorry, sir and madam, my girlfriend just has this kind of temper."

"There are many things I haven’t looked after properly during this trip, which caused her to be so upset. Please don’t take it to heart; I’ll take her away at once."

Perhaps because they were both men, Zhang Hao felt a pang of sympathy for the young man enduring his girlfriend’s temper.

He lowered his voice and said, "A man should have dignity. Being bullied by a woman like this, are you really happy? I’ll say no more, just think about it."

Before leaving, Zhang Hao patted the guy on the shoulder, as if to encourage him in this way.

Whether the man would take that to heart was up to him.

Today we’re driving to another destination, a lake, they say if you find the right angle, the lake seems to merge with the sky. 𝚏𝕣𝐞𝗲𝐰𝕖𝐛𝐧𝕠𝕧𝚎𝚕.𝐜𝚘𝗺

I wonder if today’s weather will allow it.

As she pondered, the sky suddenly overcast, and although they hadn’t reached their destination, raindrops started to fall.

They pattered against the car window—He Qianhui watched the weather, somewhat worried.

But the rain came quickly and left just as fast; by the time they arrived at their destination, the sky had cleared up again.

"It seems like the heavens are truly favoring us. Hurry up, hurry up, I want to take photos."

Still wearing the red dress from yesterday, He Qianhui found a spot recommended by internet influencers for taking pictures.

Zhang Hao, on the other hand, was diligently searching for the perfect angle, squatting down one moment and lying down the next.

He was almost playing with his phone to the point of absurdity—all to capture a stunning photo of her.

After a good deal of effort, the final result was quite pleasing.

He Qianhui had Zhang Hao go to the very spot she had been in and strike a pose. Having come all this way, it would have been a pity not to take a photo to bring back.

Yet Zhang Hao was somewhat stiff, not as relaxed and candid as He Qianhui and stood there like a wooden stake.

With He Qianhui’s assistance, he finally settled into a pose that looked somewhat stiff.

They hadn’t had the chance to say anything after taking the photo when Zhang Hao’s phone rang.

Zhang Hao hurried over to answer the call and, recognizing the voice, remembered they were the group they had bumped into on the road the day before.

The man on the phone was very urgent, and it was only after Zhang Hao’s repeated reassurances that his emotions calmed down somewhat.

He said his friend had suddenly developed altitude sickness, but his car didn’t allow for the friend to lie flat.

Recalling the spacious back of the car he had rented should accommodate, he took the liberty of calling Zhang Hao.

Asking if he could help transport the person to the nearby hospital.

Saving a life was more meritorious than building a seven-floor stupa; besides, they had already visited this scenic spot today.

Only after soliciting He Qianhui’s opinion did Zhang Hao drive towards the hotel where they were staying.

Upon arrival, Zhang Hao also took the only two oxygen bottles in the car upstairs.

When he brought them up, he saw that the person was already nearing a state of shock.

Being a doctor, Zhang Hao treated the patient with more care than an ordinary person would.

"I am a doctor. Do as I say, and it will help ease his discomfort."

The man looked at him in surprise, "What, you... you’re a doctor! That’s great, my friend must be saved, right?"

Zhang Hao didn’t dare to confirm, "I can’t say for sure right now; after all, there are no emergency facilities here. We still need to get him to the hospital. Who will come with me to lend a hand?"

"I will, I will!"

"Me too!"

Two girls volunteered eagerly, but Zhang Hao ultimately chose one.

"You come with me. Two girls—I’m afraid that if there’s no decisive leadership, decisions won’t get made."

The man was adamant, "This is my good brother; I can’t just stand by and do nothing while he suffers. You’re a doctor after all; we trust what you say."

They lifted the man into the car, and Zhang Hao navigated to the nearest hospital.

But the nearest hospital was still a couple of hours’ drive away.

In order to seek a glimmer of hope for him, they had to go.

By the time they rushed to the hospital, it was afternoon, and the doctors proceeded with the emergency rescue.

Throughout the rescue process, the companions paced anxiously outside the door, fearful that the doctor might come out and tell them they had done all they could.
