Chapter 258: This Matter Really Is A Bit Hard On You Guys
"Good." Wendy bowed her head and didn’t look Michael in the eye again.
In the next second, Wendy heard Michael get up and leave. Then came the sound of the bedroom door closing.
Wendy stood up and followed Michael in to try to comfort him.
But as soon as she stood up, Timothy’s voice was heard as he said, "I’ve already told the headquarters that you’ve agreed to go back. And Ronald will buy a plane ticket right away to replace you at MC on Monday unless there are any unexpected problems. You should also make preparations for the handover. Three days should be enough."
As soon as Timothy finished speaking, he saw that Wendy’s expression was not very good, and Michael was no longer in the dining room.

Wendy took the car keys and called out to Jake and Leah, "Leah, Jake, Mr. Woods is leaving, so come out and see him off."
Leah heard her voice and immediately ran out.

Leah will see him off, but I won’t go."
"I doted on you for nothing." Timothy wasn’t really angry, but he smiled at Jake, who peeked his head out of the house, and waved at him with a smile on his face as he said, "I’m going back to Rheinsville City then."
"You’re not going?" Leah was picked up by Timothy at this point and asked Jake with her head down.
"I’m staying home with Grandma." Jake waved his hand at Timothy and said, "I’ll see you next time."
Wendy didn’t force Jake to go to the airport because Mary wasn’t in the best shape today.
Leah could go with her to the airport to see Timothy off.
"It’s okay." Wendy stroked Jake’s head and said, "Then you stay home and wait for mummy."

Wendy drove Timothy to the airport.
Before long, Timothy was about to board the plane.
Before leaving, Timothy patted Wendy’s shoulder and said, "I’m really sorry. I didn’t expect this would have such a big impact on you. I thought it was only three months.
It shouldn’t be a big deal."
Wendy replied, "You don’t have to take it to heart."
Wendy pointed to the boarding gate, where there was already a long line of people, and then she said, "Go ahead and board. I’ll see you at HG in a few days."
Timothy said, "Okay." Nodding, Timothy turned around and walked away.
After watching Timothy board the plane, Wendy then turned around and left with Leah.
Leah blinked her big eyes and said with some confusion, "Mummy, why does it feel like everyone is not happy today?"
Upon hearing this, Wendy said, "Is that so?"
Wendy didn’t think that even Leah could tell that everyone was unhappy.
Leah said, "Yes, Grandma is here today, and Mr. Woods is here too, so shouldn’t we all be happy?"
Leah frowned as she said, "But Grandma won’t eat with us, and Mr. Woods left after eating. How come I feel that everyone is acting so weird today?"
Wendy didn’t know how to explain the situation to Leah, so she simply smiled and said, "Mr. Woods is busy with something, and Grandma is not feeling well."
Leah said, "That’s how it is."
Leah blinked as if she vaguely understood and then said, "So, when will I see Mr. Woods again?"
"Leah," Wendy asked in a serious tone of voice, "if Mummy is going to Rheinsville City, do you want to go with Mummy or stay here with Daddy?"
"Why does Mummy want to go to Rheinsville City?" asked Leah with fear in her big eyes when she heard this.
She hugged Wendy’s arm and said, "I don’t want Mummy to go to Rheinsville City. Is it because I said I wanted to see Mr. Woods again that Mummy said that? Then I won’t see Mr. Woods anymore, okay? Please don’t go back, Mummy."
Wendy asked deliberately, "Mr. Woods has been taking care of you and your brother for five years, but you don’t want to see him anymore just because of that?"
Leah replied, "But I want to be with daddy, brother, and mummy. I like it when we’re all together." Leah pouted and sounded a little aggrieved as she spoke.
When Wendy saw her like this, her mood got a little low as well.
Bending down to pick up Leah, Wendy stroked her head.
Not wanting her to be unhappy, Wendy said, "Mummy is just asking you casually."
When she heard Wendy’s words, Leah smiled.
When they got home, Mary was still in the guest room while Michael was still in the bedroom.
Zess had already cleaned up the dishes on the table.
When Zess saw Wendy’s return, she whispered, "Wendy, Mr. Lucas seems to still be angry, so why don’t you go and coax him?"
Wendy was also feeling annoyed.
She didn’t want to go back to Rheinsville City either.

Reaching out and knocking on the door, Wendy said in a relaxed tone, "Mr. Lucas, I’m coming in."
