Chapter 722: Chapter 723: The Guardian Elder

At this time, Lin Kuang and Blood Asura had already returned to the Wumi Building’s branch in the Island Country. Upon their arrival, they went straight to the head of the branch, Zhong Hui.

Zhong Hui hadn’t been resting. He was waiting for Lin Kuang, whose identity was somewhat sensitive and couldn’t be taken lightly.

"Mr. Lin, you’ve finally returned."

"I never met the leader of the Yamata no Orochi organization, nor did I see this so-called ’Lord.’ However, members of the organization said their leader is at least an expert of the Three Flowers Gathering at the Top realm and may have even reached the Five Energies Towards The Origin realm. As for this ’Lord,’ I estimate that even if he hasn’t reached the Ninth Layer Ascent, he’s at the peak of the Five Energies Towards The Origin realm!"

Hearing this, Zhong Hui’s expression changed slightly. "They’re that strong? Then do they have a connection to the Demon Sect?"

"They do. The leader is from Hua Country and goes by the name Ghost Mo. He’s one of them. I suspect this ’Lord’ is also from the Demon Sect. Hearing this, Zhong Hui nodded. "That makes sense. After the Demon Sect was defeated, some members fled and scattered across the globe. Given their nature, it’s highly likely they would establish new forces abroad."

"Exactly, and that’s the most critical issue," Lin Kuang said after a moment of thought. "Spread the word. If possible, notify the Ancient Martial Arts families and clans. I doubt they’ll stand idly by."

"Alright, but I must report this to my superiors. I don’t have the authority to make the final decision," Zhong Hui said apologetically.

Lin Kuang shook his head with a smile. "That’s fine. You just handle the notifications. Also, that Demon Ghost will probably soon realize something went wrong at the Kokusei Shrine. If you can, dispatch some experts as soon as possible. We might be able to capture him alive."

"Understood. I will include this in my report," Zhong Hui replied.

Lin Kuang nodded, then left with Blood Asura to rest in their room. Zhong Hui immediately began reporting the situation, as such a major issue was far beyond his authority.

The night passed without incident, and Lin Kuang rose early. After he had washed up, Zhong Hui came to his room personally.

"Good morning, Mr. Zhong," Lin Kuang said with a smile.

"Good morning, Mr. Lin. The higher-ups have made a decision. They are sending reinforcements: three experts at the Five Energies Towards The Origin realm and four at the Three Flowers Gathering at the Top realm," Zhong Hui announced.

Lin Kuang was stunned. The Wumi Building was dispatching three Five Energies Towards The Origin experts at once—what a grand gesture! From this, one could see just how deep the Wumi Building’s foundations were.

"Good. When will they arrive?" Lin Kuang asked promptly.

"Around noon. They’re already on their way," Zhong Hui replied after a moment’s thought.

Lin Kuang nodded. Arriving by noon was fantastic news.

"Good, I understand. We’ll go again tonight. With any luck, we’ll capture that Demon Ghost alive," Lin Kuang said, a hint of excitement in his voice.

"Understood. I shall take my leave then, Mr. Lin. If you need anything, just give the order," Zhong Hui said.

Lin Kuang smiled and nodded, and only then did Zhong Hui turn to leave.

Old Liu is truly incredible. To think the Wumi Building commands such power... That old man is a complete mystery. Lin Kuang thought, deeply impressed by him.

He then found Blood Asura, and after breakfast, the two of them settled in to wait for the experts from the Wumi Building to arrive.

「Just before noon」

Three masters of the Five Energies Towards The Origin realm and four of the Three Flowers Gathering at the Top realm arrived at the Wumi Building’s branch. Zhong Hui, Lin Kuang, and Blood Asura all went out to greet them, leading the seven experts into the main hall.

"Mr. Zhong, Mr. Lin, we’ve been briefed on the situation. We will move out again tonight. The cancer of the Demon Sect must be eradicated!" said the leading expert of the Five Energies Towards The Origin realm.

"Yes, Mr. Hai. I understand," Zhong Hui replied respectfully. The man before him was far too powerful; as head of the branch, he had no authority to give him orders.

"Oh, right. Allow me to introduce you," Zhong Hui said, stepping forward. "Mr. Hai, this is Mr. Lin Kuang. Mr. Lin, this is Hai Wubian, this is Tian Wujing, and this is Di Wuya. The three of them are the Tower Protection Elders of our Wumi Building."

Hearing this, Lin Kuang smiled, nodded, and then bowed respectfully. "Greetings, Elders. I am Lin Kuang; it is an honor to meet you."

Lin Kuang was exceptionally polite and respectful toward the three. Seeing this, Hai Wubian, Tian Wujing, and Di Wuya exchanged smiles. This Lin Kuang seemed like a decent fellow.

"Mr. Lin, please rise. There’s no need for such formality. We are all family here," Hai Wubian said, stepping forward to help Lin Kuang up.

"Elder Hai is right," Lin Kuang said with a smile as he straightened up.

"I’ll dispense with the formalities and call you Lin Kuang, if I may. How is our Tower Master?" Hai Wubian asked, looking at him eagerly.

At his words, Tian Wujing and Di Wuya also fixed their gazes on Lin Kuang, their eyes glinting with excitement.

Looking at the three of them, Lin Kuang replied with a smile, "He’s doing very well. He just doesn’t seem to want to come out yet. But rest assured, he is perfectly fine, living quite comfortably every day."

At this, Hai Wubian, Tian Wujing, and Di Wuya all nodded. As long as the Tower Master was alright, they could rest easy.
