Chapter 712: Chapter 713: Recruiting Another Valiant General

Seeing Lin Kuang completely suppress Blood Asura, Xiao Yingzi, who was watching from the sidelines, finally breathed a sigh of relief as a faint smile appeared on her pretty face.

It seems this guy has gotten even stronger than he was on Heavenly Mountain. How surprising.

Lin Kuang was unaware of Xiao Yingzi’s thoughts. Although he had the upper hand, he didn’t dare to be the least bit careless. Blood Asura appeared to be suppressed, but Lin Kuang could see that the man was constantly searching for an opening to break through his assault.

I definitely can’t give him that chance. Otherwise, it’ll be a real hassle to get him back under control.

With that thought, Lin Kuang’s swordplay changed. The Antelope Hanging Horn Sword Technique instantly became the Chaotic Tai Chi Sword, while his Extreme Shadow Illusion footwork transformed into Bagua Steps.

In an instant, Lin Kuang’s sword moves became slower, yet they were even more mysterious than before.

At this point, Blood Asura was incredibly frustrated. Lin Kuang’s sword moves had clearly slowed, but that only made it worse. Every one of his attacks felt like it was hitting nothing but air—an infuriating sensation.

Ignoring Blood Asura’s frustration, Lin Kuang attacked freely, unleashing the Chaotic Tai Chi Sword to its fullest. Blood Asura kept retreating, with no strength left to fight back.

In truth, I know I only have the advantage because of my swordsmanship. That’s the only reason I could suppress him so quickly. If he had tried to assassinate me right from the start, I never would have been able to subdue him this easily or this fast.

The fight lasted nearly ten minutes before the tip of the Nameless sword in Lin Kuang’s hand finally touched Blood Asura’s throat, piercing his skin and drawing a few drops of blood.

Lin Kuang withdrew his sword and stood tall. "You’ve lost," he stated, his tone indifferent.

At his words, reluctance showed on Blood Asura’s cold face. He hadn’t expected to lose so frustratingly, so suffocatingly. However, no matter how much reluctance or frustration he felt, a loss was a loss, and Blood Asura couldn’t deny it.

"Fine, I concede," Blood Asura declared. "My life is yours to command!"

Having lost, he had to offer up his stake in the bet.

"Good," Lin Kuang said, looking at him. "Tomorrow morning, you’ll accompany me to Island Country. We’re going to kill some Japanese devils."

Blood Asura was slightly stunned but nonetheless nodded in agreement. "Okay, what time tomorrow morning?"

"Nine o’clock. Wait for me at East Sea Airport, and I’ll meet you there," Lin Kuang said after a moment’s thought.

"Alright, I’ll take my leave then." With that, Blood Asura turned and vanished into the night.

"Congratulations on recruiting a fierce general," Xiao Yingzi said with a beaming smile.

"He is," Lin Kuang replied with a laugh, clearly in high spirits. "This guy is genuinely strong. With his help, my chances on this trip to Island Country are much greater."

"What are you going to Island Country for?" Xiao Yingzi asked curiously.

Lin Kuang gave a brief explanation. "Let’s just say I disrupted some of their plans before, and lately, they’ve been secretly targeting my women. So, I’m planning a trip to wipe out that faction."

Hearing this, Xiao Yingzi’s beautiful eyes lit up. "Not bad, you’re a real man. It seems being your woman isn’t too shabby."

"Of course," Lin Kuang said with a grin. "If a man can’t even protect his own women, what kind of man is he? Wouldn’t you agree?"

"True," she said with a smile, blinking coyly. "In that case, why don’t I become your woman tonight?"

"Let’s... talk about that when I get back," Lin Kuang stammered, then hurried toward his room, looking almost afraid of her.

Seeing this, Xiao Yingzi couldn’t help but glare at his retreating back. That bastard... He’s no man at all! A beautiful woman throws herself at him, and he still won’t make a move! she fumed, before stalking back to her room.

「The next morning.」

Lin Kuang rose early and was practicing Tai Chi Chuan in the manor’s courtyard. Before long, Yang Ruoxi also came out and stood beside him, practicing as well.

When it came time to eat, Lin Kuang told the women about his trip to Island Country. Although they were reluctant to see him go, they understood that he had his own matters to attend to. They didn’t try to stop him, only telling him to be careful.

Lin Kuang promised he would, then left the house and drove toward East Sea Airport. While driving, he called Chen Feng and asked him to arrange a plane. Chen Feng naturally agreed, and Lin Kuang continued toward the airport.

At nine o’clock sharp, Lin Kuang arrived at the entrance of East Sea Airport, where Blood Asura was already waiting.

"You’re punctual," Blood Asura noted indifferently, glancing at the time.

Lin Kuang smiled faintly. "Yes, I always am."

Blood Asura nodded, seemingly in agreement.

Seeing people from Wumi Building approach, Lin Kuang smiled. "Let’s go. It’s time to leave."

As Lin Kuang approached, one of the men from Wumi Building spoke up immediately. "Mr. Lin, please follow me."

Lin Kuang nodded and, together with Blood Asura, followed the man into the airport and boarded a private jet. They sat in the cabin, neither one speaking. The silence created a somewhat oppressive atmosphere.

After a flight of over two hours, the plane landed at Narita Airport, and Lin Kuang and Blood Asura disembarked. Escorted by the Wumi Building personnel, the two of them left the airport and got into a waiting car.

A man in the front passenger seat handed Lin Kuang a file. "Mr. Lin, this is the information you requested."

After all, Lin Kuang needed at least some understanding of the Yamata no Orochi group before he could make a move. He opened the file and began to carefully examine it. The records on the group’s forces were not very detailed. Evidently, the organization was extremely mysterious in Island Country; otherwise, with the power of Wumi Building, how could they have learned so little?

"Kokusei Shrine?" Lin Kuang murmured, clicking his tongue. "So these guys are hiding there. Interesting." He looked at the Wumi Building operative. "Your people can’t get in there, can they?"

"That’s right, Mr. Lin," the operative replied, a helpless look on his face. "We don’t have the capability to get inside. We’ve tried sending our people to infiltrate before, but to no avail.

"We even attempted to bribe them, but that was also a failure. They are completely loyal to their master; bribery is utterly ineffective."

The man seemed genuinely frustrated. Wumi Building desperately wanted to learn more about the Yamata no Orochi organization, but their various attempts had all failed to produce any results, leaving them at a complete loss.
