Chapter 1632: Chapter 1632: She’s Really Worried About Him

"What is this?" Mia Lane asked, puzzled.

"This is the edge of a handkerchief stained with coffee, milk, and juice, and the paper wraps food crumbs," replied Justin Kingston.

His mind flashed back to when he and Jocelyn deliberately left some samples before sending that plant to Ian Shelby’s palace, specifically having him take them back to Riventhal.

He said, "This is the king’s breakfast, sampled from the kitchen. Can you test if there is poison in it?"

Mia met his gaze, hearing this, her heart constricted, "You’re investigating alone?"

Before Justin could answer, she worriedly scolded, "Do you know how dangerous this is? They dared to poison the king; they’re simply desperados and might target you too! That’s not your territory!"

She could feel his tension and fear.

Justin reached out to hold her shoulder, his voice gentle, filled with apology and tenderness, "It’s not just me. There’s Jocelyn, Ian, and our construction team. I’m perfectly fine, aren’t I?"

Mia didn’t think about anything else, just particularly worried about him, "You’re going there again, right?"

"Of course." He told her, "Ian is my friend, and we must help him find the culprit."

But the danger in this is conceivable.

"Honey, I know you’re worried about me and equally worried about Ian, so now we need your help."

Mia wasn’t the kind of woman who feared death. Her gaze fell on the box on the coffee table, "Let’s go to his pharmaceutical lab now and check whether there’s poison in these foods first."

"Okay."

So, Justin released her shoulder, picked up the box, and stood up.

Mia put on her shoes, "You acted too quickly, without grasping the situation in the royal family."

"We will pay attention next time." Justin took a down jacket from the coat rack and helped her put it on, "Please rest assured, dear wife, no one dares to touch me."

Then he carefully zipped up her jacket and tied a scarf for her, holding her hand and leading her downstairs.

"You’ve really been through a lot," Justin said to her.

"Don’t say that," Mia nudged closer to him, "Making it sound like I don’t want to help him. He’s my friend too; he’s my apprentice."

She glanced at him, "I’m just worried about you. How many days have you been there? Taking such great risks? Without fully understanding the royal situation, you managed to obtain food samples."

"Actually, it wasn’t me who did this." Justin let go of her hand, put his arm around her shoulder, and explained as they went downstairs, "It was Jocelyn who did it."

"Ah?" Mia was startled.

Then Justin told her about Jocelyn’s identity and situation there.

Jocelyn is an Arabic translator beside the king, Justin’s cousin, who doesn’t know Prince Louis at all, yet a Prince Taylor developed an admiration for her.

"Isn’t this going to be a problem?" Mia worried, "Feelings are selfish, she’s Ian’s girlfriend."

"It’s okay; they have a strong foundation of trust between them, and although Taylor is Catherine’s son, he’s not scheming; he can be helpful if necessary."

As they chatted, the two reached the living room.

"Heading out?" Kristina Kingston just came out of the kitchen, seeing her daughter-in-law wrapped in a down coat and wearing a scarf.

"Yes, Mom." Justin replied, "We’re going out for a bit, but we’ll be back soon."

Kristina didn’t ask for details, "Hold on!" She quickly grabbed a hat and came to Mia, directly placing it on her head, advising, "You’re pregnant; don’t catch a cold. It’s cold outside."
