“It’s confirmed!”

“It’s definitely her!”

The magical girl Qian Qian nodded gravely, bracing herself against the wall and crouching as she peeked through a window into the library, where Ning Chu and Lily were seated.

“She’s hiding herself so well. I haven’t seen her go out to hunt at all these days. In fact, it’s the humans that are ‘hunting’ her at night... Yesterday, she even fainted. Isn’t that a bit weak?”

“Don’t underestimate her!”

“Yes, I can sense a strong aura of lust surrounding her!”

“What are you up to, sneaking around?”

Suddenly, a sharp voice sounded nearby. Startled, the black cat’s fur bristled, and it darted around before leaping off the building, while Qian Qian, equally shocked, fell back onto the ground with a painful thud, tears welling up in her eyes.

Clutching her sore backside, she looked up in panic to see a tall, well-endowed young woman in a professional autumn-winter outfit, arms crossed, gazing at her with a stern expression.

“Um...”

“Haven’t I seen you before?” An An pushed up her non-prescription glasses with a prim expression. “The new transfer student? Qian Qian, right? Weren’t you supposed to arrive next week?”

Hurriedly getting up, Qian Qian cast a nervous glance into the library, only to find that most of the students inside were now staring in her direction.

Oh no! I’ve been exposed!

“If I’m not mistaken, I’ll be your future counselor, An An.” An An looked out toward the corridor, concerned. “That cat... it jumped from quite a height. Is it okay?”

“It’s fine, it’s fine. Cats have nine lives...”

“Hope it didn’t fall on someone.”

She cut Qian Qian off, anxiously approaching the railing to check downstairs but found no sign of the black cat.

Any good-looking guy might become her next boyfriend, so she had to be cautious~

After glancing down a few times, An An turned back, only to see Qian Qian trying to slink away along the wall, shoulders hunched, doing her best to stay unnoticed.

“What are you up to?” Frowning, she grabbed Qian Qian’s arm and demanded, “Explain yourself!”

With her guilty, panicked expression, there was no doubt she was up to something suspicious. Otherwise, why try to sneak away?

“Well, um...”

Qian Qian struggled but couldn’t free herself from An An’s grasp, her arm reddening and aching from the tight hold, and she was getting desperate.

Who knew this woman was so strong?

Even though she hadn’t activated her combat mode, her strength was supposed to be far above that of a regular person!

Don’t get in the way of my world-saving mission!

Back inside the library.

Ning Chu peered down the hallway, watching Qian Qian and An An tugging at each other with a puzzled, somewhat bewildered expression.

How did a ghost and a magical girl end up together?

She exchanged a confused look with Wen Yang and shook her head.

“You know her?” Lily asked from the side.

“Uh... she’s my neighbor, I guess. Moved in last weekend. I ran into her this morning.”

Ning Chu rested her chin on one hand, watching the ruckus in the hallway as she murmured, “I don’t know why, but it feels like she’s been following me.”

“Maybe she likes you?”

“More likely, she’s interested in Wen Yang~”

Actually, magical girls were probably even stronger than succubi; after all, they could even stand up to tentacle monsters, something the average male protagonist from her spicy stories would struggle with.

Must be nice~

Ning Chu shook herself out of her thoughts, pushing aside the nonsense in her head. Under Lily’s curious gaze, she changed the topic. “Oh, by the way, is this your umbrella? I accidentally grabbed an extra one.”

“No, it’s not mine, and it’s not Xinya’s either.”

“Then it’s probably Shaoqing’s or Wang Jie’s. Guess it doesn’t matter.”

Free umbrella!

Lily turned a page in her book before asking, “Earlier, you mentioned a pervert...”

“Well, I’ll tell you the truth.”

Ning Chu figured Lily wasn’t exactly into extreme stuff. Even though there was no news of any tentacle monster yet, she worried about Lily going out at night and potentially becoming its first victim.

Taking a deep breath, she looked Lily in the eyes and said earnestly, “There might be a tentacle monster on our campus, hiding within some man’s body, and at night, it prowls the school.”

“...”

Lily lowered her head silently and continued reading.

“I’m serious!”

She threw Ning Chu an exasperated look.

Okay, she might believe the part about a murderer, but a tentacle monster?

“Hey! Just don’t go out at night, alright? Stay safe until it’s dealt with!”

Seeing how Ning Chu’s face was flushed with urgency, Lily muttered, “It all sounds too fantastical.”

You, a succubus, calling this fantastical?!

Lily paused, propping her chin on her hand, her mind drifting into strange territory, and a light blush began to spread across her cheeks, a hint of pink appearing at the corners of her eyes.

Ning Chu’s succubus radar picked up on this.

She shot Wen Yang a look, then turned to Lily, who seemed lost in thought with an odd expression. Ning Chu smirked slightly. “Your tastes are a bit on the heavy side, aren’t they?”

“No, they’re not.”

Lily shook her head in denial.

“It’s really dangerous! Even if it doesn’t actively harm people, the average person wouldn’t be able to handle it! It’s not like those toys of yours!”

“Mm, I’m not dumb.”

Despite her words, Ning Chu could tell Lily seemed even more intrigued.

With a helpless sigh, she realized she probably shouldn’t have brought up this topic with Lily. Even if she didn’t take it seriously, Ning Chu had only managed to stir up some strange fantasies.

Given that Lily, who was clearly eager yet didn’t even have the nerve to flirt with men, probably wasn’t about to approach a tentacle monster anytime soon.

Thankfully, she was a “disgrace to succubi.”

Ning Chu’s phone buzzed, and she looked down to see an unread message notification.

“It’s from me.”

She glanced at Lily in confusion. Their friendship had grown close, so Lily wasn’t as reserved as she had been at the start, and she didn’t need to resort to sending bold or suggestive messages online.

Unlocking her phone, she saw that the unread message contained a video file.

“What is it?”

“It’s good. Watch it.”

“???”

Lily reached over and tapped the download button for her, then went back to her book with her usual stoic expression.

“What the...”

The video, a few hundred megabytes, downloaded quickly.

Even though she sensed it was something suspicious, Ning Chu’s curiosity was too strong to resist.

“An anime?”

She fast-forwarded a bit, and her cheeks flushed red as she slammed the phone face-down on the table.

A high-definition tentacle anime, really?!

Why are girls so eager to recommend things to each other? First, it was toys, and now Lily was even trying to share her kinks!

Ning Chu was nowhere near that heavy-handed!

“What are you watching?” Wen Yang asked, noticing Ning Chu’s sudden blush, her face too red to lift, looking adorably embarrassed.

Lily answered, “Online course.”

“Nice.”

Wen Yang scratched his head, feeling as though the concentration of succubus pheromones in the air was growing. Luckily, he was wearing a thick coat, so he managed to ❖ Nоvеl𝚒ght ❖ (Exclusive on Nоvеl𝚒ght) sit there without looking too flustered.

Though, this probably wasn’t any ordinary “class” material.

He’d initially thought Ning Chu was genuinely studying, but with two succubi together, it seemed unlikely they’d be up to anything serious.

The noise in the hallway had died down, and Wen Yang looked back, noting, “Qian Qian left with the counselor.”

“Mm, got it...”
