So, letting Sonya learn from her during this time was very crucial, she can teach the others later when she hires them.

As she was about to enter the small office with the only till, she turned around and looked at Sonya, "Sonya, today you will learn from me."

Sonya who was getting ready to stand at her usual position was taken aback when she heard her boss saying this. She couldn’t help but look at her and then Elena who was also surprised by this command.

"This… umm….. boss, isn’t sister Elena supposed to be with you?" Sonya asked nervously.

She didn’t want to piss off Elena or be on her wrong side after all Elena was here before any of them.

Alayna wasn’t worried that Elena will misunderstand, before she really did teach Elena first because she was her first employee and just in case she won’t come to work daily, someone else will take over her job.

But now with the possibility of getting a supermarket if she succeeds, she wasn’t going to take any chances. The sooner she teaches them, the better for her.

Of course, there was another possibility of failing as two weeks were quite a few for completing the mission but as long as the chance was still there, she was going to work hard for it.

Hearing the nervousness in Sonya’s voice she turned to look at Elena, "Elena you are already proficient at using the till. In the future, the shop will be expanding and more tills will be coming. At that time, I will need more people to man them up. And in your spare time, teach her and in the future, you will also be in charge of helping your other colleagues."

Hearing this explanation, Elena who was feeling upset and thinking that she had been discarded felt much better. Receiving appreciation from someone you look up to is a great reward everyone enjoys receiving.

"I won’t let you down, boss!"

With a smile, Alayna responded, "that’s good then. Sonya follows me, you have a lot to learn."

Seeing that the issue has been solved, Sonya hurriedly walked toward her boss and entered the small office she had only looked at but never entered before.

Sonya was not a quick learner but she was hard-working, when Alayna wasn’t teaching her, she would go and seek help from Elena. And Elena being the eldest employee, prided in her seniority and helped as much as she can.

This made Sonya very grateful and her eagerness to learn even increased which was good.

While Alayna was teaching Sonya, her progress in completing her mission was very miserable. Alayna finally found some loyal customers and these customers were bigshots.

They were elders of a certain sect and they didn’t use level 1 spirit stones as these stones were beneath them. So, whenever they come, they will buy using either level 2 stones or level 3 ones.

Their frequency wasn’t that high as they visited once in a couple of days. So, for the 100 level 2 spirit mission she was in the middle of doing, she only has around five so far and the amount was so measly she wanted to cry.

It’s been over four days and only ten days were remaining, this wasn’t a good sign but she wasn’t losing hope. Recalling the first time she received a mission and only sold her first item on the last day; she wasn’t going to overthink much about it.

Neal and Merita were in the middle of a serious cultivation mode, luckily the siblings didn’t spend all the days just cultivating. She didn’t want them to not eat or be cultivation crazed.

They had some family moments together and ate a couple of meals together and after that, the kids will go back to cultivating again.

On the seventh day, Alayna was watching Sonya serving the customers, although she was very slow but she was doing the job just right and this was enough for her.

She couldn’t help but notice a commotion outside, curious to see what was going on, she went outside, and voila, some familiar faces have arrived.

The shop wasn’t that busy as the queue outside wasn’t that long. Since the shop wasn’t going anywhere and the items inside were expensive for most of the people who weren’t cultivators, there were not many customers.

This wasn’t a problem though as the bigshots always buy a lot and spend a lot of money in return.

Alayna couldn’t help but wonder the reason why this familiar person was here again. It has been too long since she last saw the other and almost forgot about him.

Looking at Marcus, her second customer standing in line with familiar faces that she remembered to be his siblings, she smiled awry and returned inside.

They weren’t best friends and she wasn’t entitled to give him a big welcome. With Marcus and his family here, Alayna’s stagnant mission finally rose making her feel very much relieved.

As Marcus had managed to advance and got promoted in his sect, he could be given some level 2 spirits, instead of using them to cultivate, the only thing he could think about was to go and buy a lot of food and water in abundance, it was much efficient that way.

Instead of coming by himself, he brought along his siblings and a few of his friends. Since the shop was no longer a secret, he didn’t see any need to hide about it and brought them with him.

As the shop still maintained one person buying only one item of each product, what the group bought on the first day wasn’t enough so they were forced to visit daily.

And for every visit they made, Alayna’s mission was progressing and this on its own brought so much joy to her.

On the eleventh day, Lucy who was no longer fat but very slim and beautiful to the extent that she needed to wear a veil to hide her beauty, also graced the shop with her friends and a lot more.

Alayna was no longer fazed by them, as long as they use level 2 spirit stones to buy her things, she will even worship them. Although the majority of them were paying using silver, gold, and level 1 spirit stones, some of them were very generous to give her what she really needed.

With Sonya making great improvement and her mission around 48%, although only three days were remaining, she still has some faith that she was going to pass.

So, Alayna began to write another hiring advert again and this time she specified the kind of people she wanted for the job. For the moment she only needed two more ladies for the till just in case the supermarket has more than two tills.

If there will be less than that then she was going to give them something else to do. As for the additional security, she was going to deal with that when her shop was upgraded.

She didn’t want any dimwit and someone who was very slow to learn, a quick learner was the sort of lady that she wanted and it didn’t matter whether they are cultivators or not.

She had never seen Elena or Sonya cultivating so they were labeled as mortals so hiring maybe two cultivators wouldn’t be an issue this time.

With that thought in mind, she added that on the requirements of the people she wanted to hire.

The next day, after leaving the kids cultivating, she went to work and posted the advert before entering the shop.

[What did the lady boss post again?]

[Is that another hiring advert?]

[Come on tell us, what is she looking for this time? I want to try!]

[She only wants ladies and no men this time.]

[I will try later tomorrow, wish me luck.]

[Me too.]

And everyone started talking about the job and the news gradually spread and everyone heard about this. This news was so good that everyone began to prepare for the interviews.

Alayna knew that she was in for some big trouble but it was also good as she can pick the people that she wants and suitable for the job.

The next day, Alayna hosted the interview after she closed the shop. The people who came for the interview were so many that she ended up returning two-thirds of them home.

She was going to interview just a third every single day until she was done. Elena was there to give a hand and James was present as well. As the two were working overtime, they were going to be paid for that.

Interviewing someone was quite tiring but also interesting as she gets to hear a lot of fascinating things. By the time she was done, she had noted around five people and they will be going for a second interview in the future.

She just hopes that she will find the people she is looking for and not get her time wasted.
