Chapter 257: Who is this woman?

Ali was still crying in Sienna’s arms when the guards dragged a struggling woman through the door, followed by a sharp eyed Eli. The boy was dragging a bag on the floor, which belonged to the woman.

She was a human woman with mean, sharp eyes that darted around the office like knives.

Ali, still tear-streaked, pointed with trembling hands. "That’s her mama! That’s the woman who tried to take me!"

Secretary Mika stepped forward, ears twitching nervously, a hologram projected from his phone, and he read from it. "She gave the name Jane Suhua at the entrance," he said quickly, scrolling through the records of the office for any mention of her name.

Sienna’s breath caught. That name, she remembered it from the old Sienna’s diary. Jane Suhua, as described in the notes, was middle-aged, short, with cruel eyes. She was once Sienna’s homeroom teacher in high school, and she was notorious for her disdain toward poor students. Naturally, Sienna had been one of her targets for disdain and mockery. The diary entries had been bitter: Suhua had mocked her old uniforms, her worn shoes with unbalanced soles, sneered at her family’s poverty, and dismissed her efforts as ’hopeless."

Now, here she was, standing in Sienna’s office, touching her daughter, as though she was a welcome guest around here.

Sienna gestured with her hand, and the guards let go of Jane.

"You have forgotten your roots," Jane declared, her voice dripping with authority. "Sienna Miller, have you forgotten where you come from? We raised you, educated you, and now you sit here pretending to be someone important. Your guards have no manners."

Sienna raised her hand, stopping anyone that was offended on her behalf from punching the woman.

Jane lifted her chin, and cleared her throat. "There is a school reunion next week. You will attend. And you will donate...let’s say fifty million. That should suffice."

The office fell silent.

Elder Mini narrowed her eyes. "Fifty million? Are you asking for a donation or robbing her?" she asked, incredulous.

The Benali couple exchanged bewildered glances, their problems momentarily forgotten.

Tariq snorted, "Even I don’t dare to stretch my arrogance in here. Where did this woman come from?"

Aunt Linera leaned against the wall, feathers bristling. "This human dares to talk to you this way. Sienna, allow me to respond to her."

The guards tightened reached for Jane, grabbing her arms, clearly itching to throw her out.

The court clerk’s fingers danced over her keyboard, unsure whether to record this absurdity as part of the Benali case.

Mija hissed softly, eyes gleaming. "Sisi, she reeks of resentment, and she touched your cub. Should I silence her?"

Jan scoffed and pressed on, ignoring the hostility. "I was Sienna’s teacher, if not for me, she would not have made it through high school. I could have made her drop out, if I wanted. Now that she is in a position of power, it is only right for her to pay back the kindness she experienced." She looked at Sienna, eyes sparking arrogance, "Our teachers need more support, you should start a fund for them. With all the money you are making, surely, you can spare two million a year for us. You should provide free lunches for is. And honey. Yes, that honey which you sell. You have that queen bee, don’t you? Give her to the school. She will be an attraction to make the school stand out, ans a symbol of your gratitude."

Gasps rippled through the room.

Linera raised her brows. The last person to come for the bee was a princess, and she had gone home in tears. Did this woman think she was more special compared to a princess?

Ali clung to Sienna’s sleeve, whispering, "Mama, don’t let her take Honey Thunder, please."

Sienna patted Ali’s head, tightening her jaw. The audacity of this woman, demanding millions, honey and even her bee!

Elder Mini slammed her cane against the floor. "Outrageous! That bee is a pride of the fox tribe. You cannot have it."

Linera laughed bitterly. "It is also the pride of the falcon tribe. You truly have no boundaries. What else are you going to ask for? If you want the moon, I won’t be surprised."

Sienna rose slowly, her eyes locked on Jane. This wasn’t a teacher, it was a ghost from the old Sienna’s past, now daring to belittle her in front of people she ruled.

Jane smirked, sensing she had struck a nerve. "And one more thing," she said, voice rising with self-importance. "We have all heard that the queen is your best friend. It would be amazing if the royals attended the reunion. Of course, you will have to provide money for renovations and food because we don’t want to embarrass the school. You were in charge of the summit hosted by your tribe this year, so I am sure you will do a great job with the reunion. Take some treasures from your tribe and use them as decorations."

Mija hissed loudly, leaped and struck Jane on her nose. "I--AM--HER--BEST FRIEND!" She growled.

The office erupted. Linera and some guards pulled Mija back, just as the snake beast woman was about to attempt to strangle Jane. Mija held on, hissing furiously ’take that back.’

Guards shouted, elder Mini sputtered, Ali yipped. Sienna tried to clam the situation but it everyone was so loud.

The doors burst open again, this time with a storm of the elite fox guards from the vanguards. They rushed in, their armor clattering as they formed a protective wall around Sienna’s desk. Behind them strode Elias, his expression thunderous, tails lashing with unrestrained fury. His brothers, father, grandfather and grandmother followed. Jess’s sharp eyes scanned the room with hawk-like precision.

The news of Ali’s near abduction had already spread like wildfire. Enforcers in black armor surrounded the property of the offices outside. Royal agents, cloaked in royal uniforms and armor crowded the door, demanding for entrance into the overcrowded the office.

Their presence was a chilling reminder that this was no ordinary disturbance, it had caught the attention of the crown.
