Chapter 236: Take everything.

Before Elias could stop the guards, the gates were rammed open forcefully. The guards yelled loudly, as if they had come to carry out a raid. They were like vikings, rising from the sea with weapons.

Sienna cheered them on, through the open window of the car. The more chaos, the better!

The cars drove beyond the detached main manor, following the path which led to the stand alone villas, occupied by the different side branches of the Twindell family. The one occupied by Lady Cadelaria’s family was a modest residence, with carved stone arches and gilded windows proclaiming wealth without the grandeur of the main manor.

It was fair to say that all the Twindell’s lived comfortably. There was no need for them to covet the wealth of another family, except for greed.

Sienna screamed into her phone, "Blow the horns."

Elias pulled her back, wrapping his arms and tails around her. "You need to calm down."

She laughed. "Never. Hahaha."

"What is that laugh?" He asked.

She chuckled. "The proud villain laugh." She looked into his eyes and said, "You know, this is the kind of home I picture when I think of your ancestors. A place where nobles act important, looking down on everyone below their status. Where is your ancient stone castle?"

"It’s the estate, we upgraded." He replied. "If the world keeps moving forward, why should we stay in the past?" He touched a finger to her cheek, asking in a soft voice, "Am I right?"

Sienna blinked. She got the sudden feeling that he was talking about more than a house. Was he talking about them? Did he mean they should put the affairs of the former Sienna and that life behind them and look to the future?

The car door on her side was suddenly opened. "Brother," Cyra poked her head inside, "Come out already. Mother looks like she is all but ready to faint."

Sienna rushed out of the car. "Oh goodie, I wouldn’t want to miss that."

Guards marched forward in formation, like an army going to war. Jess followed, with her spine straight, cane tapping against the cobblestones like a drumbeat of judgement. Sienna latched on to her side, grinning, already savoring the chaos to come.

The villa was quiet, shutters drawn, smoke absent from the chimneys. Cadelaria’s family was still asleep--lazy, pampered, oblivious.

Unlike them, the rest of the staff and family members were starting to gather, having received calls or messages about what Jess was doing.

"Sleeping in like bears in hibernation. How noble." Sienna commented. "Mother-in-law, your family is awesome."

Jess’s voice rang out. "Wake them."

The guards surged forward, pounding on doors, rattling windows. Someone kicked the door in directly, splitting it from the hinges. Within moments, the villa erupted in confusion; maids shrieking, people stumbling out of bedrooms in nightclothes, Mona blinking blearily as if daylight itself were an insult.

Sienna strode into the hall, he cloak sweeping behind her. "Rise and shine, thieves and foxlings. The reckoning had arrived."

Cadelaria’s relatives gathered, disheveled and indignant. Her oldest brother Jona rubbed his eyes. "What is the meaning of this? It’s barely morning..."

Sienna cut him off with a sharp laugh. "Meaning? I will tell you the meaning. The meaning is that your family has been shopping in the wrong shop. It has been dipping its toes in the wrong pool--wait, not toes but fingers. It has been sticking its fingers in the wrong honey jar."

"Sienna.." Elias called, with a warning about limits in his voice.

She laughed. "Fine. In conclusion, you have been siphoning resources, selling off treasures and living fat while draining us. And now, we are here to take it all back."

Jess entered, her presence silencing the room. "Not just what is owed. We are taking everything."

Gasps rippled through the villa.

Sienna ripped the necklace off Jacinta Twindell’s neck directly. "Now, this is mine."

Her actions stunned everyone. Had she come to help or steal openly?

She fanned out with the guards, opening cabinets, hauling out chests, stripping tapestries from walls. Cadelaria’s family wailed as heirlooms vanished into carts.

"You can’t take that," Mona screamed, fluttering her hands as she watched the dress and jewels she planned to wear at Lina’s royal wedding. But she was helpless to stop it. "Cadelaria, do something." She shouted.

Cadelaria shrunk behind the guards, wishing she could shrink.

Sienna came out of the kitchen, hauling a box of kitchenware and foodstuffs. "Grandma, I found some King crabs in the fridge! I will cook them for dinner. I found some of that royal wine you mentioned....I have forgotten what it was called."

Hosea Twindell, Cadelaria’s father, tried to step in her path, but a guard pulled him back. One warning look from Jess was enough to make him freeze.

Jess’s cane struck the floor. "Every coin, every jewel, every horse. Leave them with nothing but walls."

Sienna turned around. "Grandma, don’t underestimate walls, I have one that is worth fifteen million beast coins. This villa looks old, the stones could be worth something too. We will take them too if we can."

Elias sighed. Was she planning to carry the house with her somehow or just break it into smaller parts?

The villa dissolved into chaos. Servants scrambled to hide trinkets, only to be caught. The Twindell’s begged, threatened, shouted, but the guards were relentless.

Sienna perched on a chair, pointing out things like conductor directing the storm. "Rugs, don’t forget the rugs. Strip off the fur cloak on Mona’s body too, it looks like it could be worth a few thousand. Take the curtains. Take the ridiculous worm painting, it’s more valuable as firewood."

"That’s my pet Precious!" Jacinta screeched.

Sienna raised her voice, "Find the real worm too, we can hold it for ransom."

An eager Liman shouted loudly, "On it. I can smell it in the house."

Jacinta fainted.

Elias, Cyra and Jess laughed.

A little girl, still in her nightgown, smiled at Sienna, trying to act cute. She was Jona’s daughter.

Sienna smiled sweetly, and opened her mouth. "Take her...."

Before she could say more, Elias covered her mouth.
