Chapter 49: Kidnapping Melvin - Officially Dreamer’s Peak

Seeing the status, Akasha’s expression darkened into a frown.

"Are things like this truly so common in fantasy?" he muttered under his breath.

Below them, one of the guards had already conjured a dense ball of ice and hurled it toward Melvin with killing intent.

The boy was running desperately, but it was clear he wouldn’t make it in time.

Akasha didn’t wait any longer.

He activated his innate power.

[Absolute Dreams (Origin)]

HUMMMMM!!!!!

In that instant, the effect only targeted the pursuing guards.

Their bodies went limp mid-motion, and they collapsed unconscious onto the forest floor one after another.

While the ice ball they had launched shattered harmlessly against a tree.

The Prince of Loria Kingdom, who had been watching from a short distance with Melvin’s sister in his grasp, widened his eyes in shock.

"What the hell just happened?!" he shouted, his grip on the crying woman tightening as he looked around frantically.

[Space Affinity]

Without another word, Akasha used his Space Affinity.

In the blink of an eye, he appeared beside Melvin, grabbed the boy by the back of his ragged shirt, and vanished just as quickly.

"What?"

"Where did that brat go?!"

Melvin’s sister struggled harder in his arms, tears streaming down her face as she looked toward the spot where her brother had been.

"T-that monster escaped!!"

----

When Melvin reappeared, he was no longer on the forest floor.

He was high in the sky.

The sudden change made his stomach lurch.

His eyes widened in pure terror as he realized there was nothing beneath his feet.

It wasn’t that he couldn’t fly on his own—it was just that such a sudden change felt a bit too dramatic for the moment.

A strangled, panicked sound escaped his throat as he instinctively grabbed onto something — only to realize he was being held up by an invisible force.

"W-What?! What’s happening?!" Melvin cried out, his voice cracking with fear as he looked around wildly.

His hands clutched at the air in front of him, unable to see or feel the person holding him up.

"W—Who grabbed me?! Let me go! Please!"

Seeing his reaction, Akasha raised a brow as he removed his mask.

Even after it was off, and despite Akasha standing right in front of him, gripping the back of his ragged shirt, Melvin’s eyes seemed to look straight through him, as if he wasn’t there at all.

Yume floated closer, watching the boy with a gentle but concerned expression.

"He’s really pitiful..." she said softly. "Hehe Master... we should help him get his revenge!"

Hearing her Akasha only shook his head as this was the plan from the moment he read the description.

The entire purpose of him being so far from the Southern Continent in the first place was not to sight see... but to find the first member of Dreamer’s Peak.

"Of course, Yume... Melvin here will be the key to the Eastern Continent itself." Akasha said as he looked towards Luna.

Luna, already aware of what was on his mind, spoke up before he had the chance to voice it.

"There’s no avoiding this," she said with an easy calm.

"Melvin won’t be able to sense you until he grows much stronger. At the moment, the difference between you two is just far too great."

Akasha sighed, rubbing the bridge of his nose.

"Well, at this point, having a kidnapper is the least of Melvin’s worries," he muttered.

[Space Affinity]

In the next moment, space twisted around them once again.

Using his Space Affinity, Akasha, Luna, Yume, and the still-panicking Melvin all vanished from the sky above the forest.

-----

After a constant teleporting the group finally arrived back in the Southern Continent... specifically the Divine Domain.

With Akasha’s space affinity he could cover his total divine sense radius with one teleportation which was essentially 6 million kilometers per jump.

The moment they stopped moving, Melvin lurched forward and vomited violently into the open air, his small body shaking as he clung weakly to nothing.

The constant spatial jumps had clearly taken a toll on him.

Ignoring the boy, Akasha hovered steadily in the sky, his eyes calmly sweeping across the transformed landscape below.

What used to be Dreamer’s Peak had changed beyond recognition.

It wasn’t just the Domain that expanded... but the mountain itself had grown immensely.

No longer a simple, isolated peak at the edge of the world, it now towered so high that its summit pierced directly into the clouds.

Its width had expanded dramatically as well, turning what was once a lone mountain into a vast, living landmass.

Lush forests now blanketed its slopes, with powerful waterfalls cascading down its sides, feeding into crystal-clear rivers that snaked through the terrain.

The entire mountain had become a vibrant oasis, brimming with life and natural beauty.

But the most shocking change was the Divine Domain itself.

What had once been no larger than a small kingdom because of the expansion token, had expanded to a staggering degree.

The Domain now stretched across an area just shy of a full continent, stopping only at the border that separated it from the rest of the Southern Continent.

The sheer scale of it was breathtaking.

Luna’s eyes widened slightly as she took in the sight.

"...This is truly beyond my expectations," she said quietly, genuine surprise in her voice.

Yume floated forward a little, her purple hair drifting as she stared in wonder.

"Master... this place," she whispered. "Is much... more beautiful!"

Even Melvin, still pale and wiping his mouth, couldn’t help but stare in dazed silence at the impossible sight below them.

Akasha didn’t say a word, but the goofy smile on his face said everything.

He kept flying upward with ease, leading them toward the now vast, flat surface at the mountain’s peak.

When they touched down, the transformation was even more striking.

The once-small, rocky summit had expanded into a vast, open area that easily covered the size of a small kingdom.

Instead of bare stone, the ground was now covered in soft, vibrant grass.

A wide stone path split into three directions from where they stood.

To the left, a sprawling garden filled with glowing God Rank Tier 10 herbs stretched out.

To the right, was the dense forest canopy led deeper into the peak, eventually leading to the Golden Apple Tree.

But it was what lay directly ahead that made even Akasha pause.

Before the Domain’s expansion, this mountain had sat at the literal edge of the world — behind it had been nothing but an invisible wall that reflected like a mirror.

Now, however, the world itself seemed to have been forced to make room.

Behind the mountain was a breathtaking forest of tall trees with deep purple leaves.

At the center of this new forest was a large, multicolored blood pool that shimmered with an otherworldly glow.

Above the pool, faint illusory symbols of various races flickered into existence for a few seconds before vanishing once more.

Akasha stared at the new area for a moment before letting out a low, genuine laugh.

Without another word, he pulled up his status.
