Chapter 4: A Loving Mother

As Akasha and Luna made their way toward the new world he was destined to inhabit, Kalpa, a distant presence had been watching over him since the moment he was born.

Far beyond the bounds of existence lies a realm where scenes shift without end, and the sky itself is a living canvas of every imaginable vision.

One moment, you might witness a hero battling a fearsome demon lord; the next, something even wilder—like the birth an entire galaxy.

To call this place beautiful would be an insult to its mythical splendor.

It was glorious—absolutely, utterly glorious.

At the heart of this realm rested a sleeping beauty whose flawless, almost translucent skin revealed a presence far beyond ordinary beauty.

Not even the most radiant goddess could compare to a fraction of her allure.

Her long, flowing black hair, darker than the void itself and streaked with threads of white, lay completely still as she had been untouched by movement for countless eras.

[A/N: Just so you know, an Era equals one trillion years.]

Which would be accurate—until today, that is.

Her eyelids slowly fluttered open. For a brief moment, her eyes held nothing—absolute void. Then, in the next instant, they contained everything, mirroring the boundless sky of her realm. Glorious.

"~Fufufu~ After so long, my baby boy is finally awake." Her voice carried a tone that made time feel meaningless, layered with an ethereal quality beyond words.

She slowly sat up in midair, turning her head toward the scene of Akasha emerging from the crumbling egg that held him.

A loving smile bright enough to disarm any villain graced her lips.

"After so long, I can finally watch you have your fun. Don’t keep me waiting, Akasha. You’re our ticket home."

She added softly before closing her eyes once more.

"Your mother is always watching~"

The world of Kalpa

In a vast field filled with beautiful and vibrant flowers never before seen in a mortal world like earth. There, stood Akasha and he was simply, just looking?

"Finally.... fresh fucking air." Akasha said with exasperation as he took in the magnificent scenery.

As far as the eye could see stretched a vast field, a vibrant tapestry of green, blue, yellow, and even red.

Such a combination might ordinarily appear garish or discordant, yet here it seemed as though the land itself was alive, the very air working ceaselessly to enhance its beauty.

Surrounding the field, towering mountains rose with an almost divine majesty, their peaks appearing to pierce the very skies.

High above floated mysterious structures while seven radiant suns blazed overhead.

"Seven suns... hell yeah.." Akasha murmured in astonishment, his heart swelling with exhilaration at such a magnificent beginning.

Then, as if carried upon the whisper of the wind, Luna appeared without warning, materializing before his awe-struck gaze.

Not like he was complaining, as he went from looking at the sky to looking something much more beautiful.

"Enough staring already~ it’s time to focus. Say ’Status’ to access your system and other items, then we’ll start with a basic introduction to the world of Kalpa before you set out."

Luna teased, enjoying the way Akasha looked at her.

’Hmph! If only you knew you’re the only person besides your mother who has ever seen me. I wonder how you’d react~’

"Okay, Status," he said, excitement bubbling as he anticipated what was to come.

Suddenly, a transparent window appeared before him.

"Um, okay.... there’s a lot more blank than I imagined. And my last name is what exactly?" Akasha asked, already jumping to the worst conclusions.

"You have the same last name as your mother... and no one knows what it is," Luna replied with a shrug.

The implications were clear—he’d have to figure it out himself.

"To access your inventory, just will it," she continued, tilting her head.

"Though I’m not sure why your Star slot is blank... you should have gained one upon awakening."

Akasha nodded. "Alright, I guess we’ll see as we go."

As he studied the bloodlines more closely, he quickly realized they weren’t a single bloodline as he had first assumed, but rather two complete bloodlines of equal rank.

Still, he trusted that Luna had her reasons for this arrangement instead of simply turning him into a Vampiric Dragon.

Little did he know, however, that she was just as baffled as he was, having no explanation at all for why such a phenomenon had occurred.

In that moment, two vials filled with swirling white liquid suddenly appeared in his hand.

’The blood of a Vampire and a Dragon, huh?’ he thought, deciding to just go for it.

[Be prepared for the pain of evolution, Akasha,] Luna warned, watching as he prepared to gulp the blood down in one go.

Then he paused, meeting Luna’s piercing blue eyes, and spoke.

"Much appreciated, my dear Luna."

He downed the both vials in one go, instantly releasing a blood-curdling scream.

CRACK!!!!!!

"ARGHHHHH!!! FUCK!!!" Akasha roared, collapsing to his knees as a strange sensation coursed through him—like his entire being was evolving, becoming whole.

It was hard to put into words, but it felt as if his very bloodline was returning to its true origin.

His body convulsed as bones cracked and reshaped beneath his skin.

Deep obsidian scales rippled across his arms and shoulders before fading into faint, elegant patterns.

His shoulder-length hair shifted from black and white into striking crimson and white strands that caught the light of the seven suns.

Two elegant void-black horns curved upward from his head, sharp enough to pierce the heavens themselves.

Luna sat quietly, taking in every moment of the process, her thoughts lingering on Akasha’s eyes she was seeing clearly for the first time.

She felt no trace of worry that anything might go wrong with him.

’Hmmm, I don’t know why I never noticed his eyes before, but they’re absolutely beautiful,’ she mused, recalling the shifting scenes within them and the way his pupils seemed to rotate.

But before she could drift too far into her thoughts, Akasha’s evolution was complete.

Standing there, Akasha felt an almost ridiculous surge of strength.

In his humanoid form, he was both Vampire and Dragon—not a mere hybrid, but truly each race at once, embodying the full power and traits of both.

His tall frame bore light brown skin with a subtle, otherworldly sheen.

Wild layers of red and white hair tumbled to his shoulders, striking in their contrast.

Elegant, void-black horns arched proudly from his head, while delicate patterns of obsidian scales traced his collarbones and forearms, catching the light like living gems.

He had fangs protruding from his lips and pointy ears, both clear signs of his vampirism.

His eyes remained ever-changing—galaxies swirling within them—giving him an aura both divine and dangerously seductive.

In that moment, even though his rank hadn’t risen at all, he felt stronger than he’d ever dreamed possible—like he could erase his former self with ease.

’All this power just from my race?’ he thought, clenching his fist as visions of the supreme beings he had yet to face flashed through his mind.

"I can’t wait..." he murmured, glancing at Luna, who was giving him a strange look. For a brief second, he could’ve sworn he saw stars glimmering in her eyes.

"Your horns look lovely dear~" Luna spoke seductively as she looks at the void black horns that seemed like they wanted to pierce through the heavens.

"Now say ’status’ to see your changes."

"Above Origin?" he asked, noting that the bloodline didn’t grant any direct powers.

Still, it boosted his ability to fight beyond his rank, along with the affinities he had gained. He was curious to know just how powerful an Above Origin-ranked bloodline truly was.

"Akasha, the Above Origin rank is the pinnacle of Universal Bloodlines," Luna explained before adding,

"And yes, these ranks apply to everything else—weapons, pills, elixirs, and so on. The ranks are: Lesser, Greater, Primordial, Origin, and Above Origin."
