Chapter 3: Three Divine Wishes (2)

After a moment of contemplation, Akasha addressed the spirit.

"Since I’m fairly certain you can transform me into anything, how about making me into a Blood Dragon, or maybe a Vampiric Dragon?"

He proposed, while musing inwardly.

’Honestly, who wouldn’t want to be a dragon? And in an ultimate fantasy realm, I’m sure I could even take on a humanoid form when I want.’

Truth be told, he had grown tired of being human, and the idea of shedding that form for something far more powerful and awe-inspiring was more tempting than he cared to admit.

[Ah there’s something I forgot to mention....] The spirit spoke as she was trying to process Akasha’s choice.

"Well, here comes the bullsh-" Akasha was beginning to speak before the spirit rudely interrupted him.

[Shh, let me finish first,] she said, rolling her eyes.

[Let’s just say... because of your mother, you technically already have a race—one I’m not even sure about in detail. Still, I’m certain you’ll have trouble accessing it at first.

So, while I can give your bloodlines, changing your appearance—and the race entirely—is beyond me.]

The spirit spoke cryptically, perhaps revealing a bit more than intended.

"Oh well that’s a relief, I guess." Akasha said as he was totally done with all this nonsense.

[...]

"Well, let’s go with the Vampiric Dragon" he said confirming his initial choice.

With those words they continued with setting his basic information as in this world he would be born into.

Everyone awakened at birth, so starting at any age other than that would be a disadvantage, leaving him behind his peers.

Still, he had no desire to waste time growing up as a toddler again, even if it meant having the chance to use his powers.

So, he simply chose the age he died at.... Eighteen years old.

"And these wishes... what exactly can I ask for? Are there any limits?" he asked, clearly impatient to have it all settled.

[Well, you can wish for.... anything.] The spirit said nonchalantly as if mocking Akasha.

’~Fufufu~’

"Eh?" He raised an eyebrow at that, knowing full well that in the realm of fantasy, anything could quite literally be... well, anything.

"Come again... say what?" Akasha asked, seeking clarification.

[Exactly what I said, Akasha. You can wish for anything—so let your imagination run wild. As for restrictions? Well, that all depends on your wish and, more importantly, on your power level.]

Silence

Akasha didn’t speak immediately but his thoughts were at an all-time high at the moment.

’If I could wish for anything then this life will truly be something worth living for...’

Once, he had envisioned himself standing triumphantly atop a mountain.

But that fleeting dream was soon replaced by something far grander— with him gazing down upon all existence in luxurious supremacy.

’Wait!’ Akasha abruptly halted his daydream, as if struck by a sudden, startling realization.

"This is really important," he said, his tone suddenly taking on an unusual seriousness.

’If this is true, then I’m essentially choosing the building blocks of my future life.’

’How should I live my life?’ he wondered to himself.

He thought back on the past eighteen years of solitude.

He didn’t resent it—after all, he’d been alone his whole life. Long stretches of isolation never bothered him much.

But still...

’I will be in a real fantasy realm... Do I truly want to spend it secluding myself?’

After some thought, he made his decision.

"Okay, I’m ready. I want my first two wishes to be intertwined." His voice held a rare trace of seriousness.

"First, I want a system focused on Gacha—with daily items and tasks to earn even more absurd things."

Since the spirit wasn’t a system herself, this would give him a proper cheat.

It could send him on adventures or let him reap rewards while secluded.

"And the second wish: I want my own personal Domain." He paused, unsure of the exact power mechanics.

"I’m sure you can align it with the verse and power system. Fill it with tons of things helpful for progression and everything needed across the realms of power."

He envisioned a domain that could be established and expanded through tasks and accomplishments, making advancement nearly effortless without leaving its boundaries.

Yet the tasks would also pull him out to explore.

He had no intention of hiding his identity, and the domain would shelter those he chose to keep close—perhaps even a future family.

"For my last wish... I want an elixir," he said simply, though the vision behind it was anything but.

"This elixir should be a one-time use... something that turns my entire existence into an anomaly."

He wasn’t entirely sure what being ’anomalous’ meant here, but he wanted to stand apart from every other being striving to become a God or Constellation.

[~Fufufu, well that’s quite vague. But consider it done~] the spirit replied in a strangely seductive voice.

’Fina—wait, I can finall—’ Akasha thought as the shell trapping him finally cracked open.

But when it did, he was utterly stunned. "Ummm... who the hell are you?"

-----

At the edge of a random Universe.

The entire universe was showered in such a blinding rainbow light that it seemed that all of existence stopped working.

And indeed, everything completely stopped working.

In fantasy, the birth of an extraordinary individual is usually marked by strange omens.

Maybe it’s visions of phoenixes or dragons gliding across the sky, or gods themselves bowing in reverence—you know, the usual over-the-top stuff.

But this time, the entire universe just stopped, as if even existence itself wasn’t worthy of witnessing the event.

Which was maybe even a worse premonition than any other.

After what felt like the longest hour, Akasha’s vision finally returned.

His surroundings were still the same endless darkness, pierced only by faint shimmering lights in the distance.

But what truly took his breath away was the divine beauty seated cross-legged and floating effortlessly before him.

She had cascading white hair so pure and luminous it seemed almost sacrilegious for the air to touch it framed a face of ethereal perfection.

And... strangely, despite his awe, she looked far more astonished—her expression frozen in disbelief.

Emerging from the cracked shell that had held him for countless ages, he stepped forward, narrowing the gap between himself and the shimmering figure ahead.

’This can’t be the same spirit as before, can it?’ he wondered, clearing his throat.

Ahem!

"Hey there, miss~?" Akasha tried to sound eloquent while subtly sizing up the woman.

"~Fufufu, look at you, trying to be all eloquent, Akasha~," the woman teased, shaking off her initial shock, still unsure of what she was witnessing.

’I can feel the Universe itself stopped functioning the moment he stepped out of the egg... but what is this form?’ she wondered, trying to mask her surprise as she studied Akasha.

"Right..." Akasha replied, tilting his head.

The sultry, seductive tone of her voice confirmed it instantly.

"Y-you’re the spirit, huh?" He instantly regretted his earlier casual attitude toward such beauty.

’Damn, if I’d known you were this stunning, I would’ve enjoyed the process a whole lot more!’ he thought to himself before speaking aloud.

"And your name?"

"Luna. Just call me Luna," she replied, still trying to comprehend what she was witnessing.

After waiting countless eras to finally meet Akasha, she was met with... a pure white silhouette. The harder she tried to focus on his features, the more they slipped away.

"Well, hello Luna..." Akasha said, glancing around at the darkness. Luna, already knowing what he was thinking, explained before he could ask.

"Fufufu~ Right now, we’re at the edge of an undiscovered universe—where no life has yet formed. Within this verse... Pantheos, there are endless numbers of universes and every other form of stellar bodies."

She continued elaborating.

Each and every universe was truly infinite—no one had ever found their endings.

Even those who ascended to higher realms couldn’t reach its limits.

This often led to the discovery of unknown civilizations, races, and resources.

They hadn’t transported directly into an inhabited world because the consequences of stopping an entire universe would be dire—not for the beings inside, but for Akasha, as it would make locating him far too easy for anyone seeking the cause.

"And what’s up with your look?" she asked, arching a brow.

Hearing her words, he examined himself.

In this moment he noticed, his skin was nearly translucent, shoulder-length hair mostly black with streaks of white. His eyes—though he couldn’t see them—felt ever-changing, sometimes swirling like galaxies, other times with multiple pupils rotating clockwise.

"Well, my skin’s pretty translucent, and my hair is black and white, about shoulder length," he said with a shrug. Inside, he was equally curious.

’Why the hell am I nearly translucent... wouldn’t I look like a ghost or something?’

As the thought crossed his mind, he suddenly felt the ability to change his appearance at will.

Moments later, he stood with flawless light brown skin and black hair streaked with white.

Overall, he looked more divine than the most mythical beings. Yet he couldn’t shake the feeling that this was more of a disguise than his true form.

As he was lost in thought, Luna’s voice returned.

"Handsome, indeed," she said, trying to hide her blush.

"Alright, let’s begin. You will have access to all your cheats upon arriving in the world of Kalpa."
