Chapter 115: Yomi’s Reckoning (3)

"While I knew someone would eventually come..." Akasha’s calm voice drifted through the cold Underside air as he stepped out of the purple-and-white barrier.

Luna walked at his right, her pink-and-purple hair swaying, and Yume at his left, her blue-streaked locks drifting like frozen mist.

"Who knew it would be you two again..."

He looked completely at ease — shirtless, pale iridescent skin faintly shimmering under the dim seven suns, four black-and-grey horns catching the light.

In one hand he held a delicate wine glass filled with dark, thick blood that still steamed faintly. His pure black eyes with narrow grey slits regarded the three newcomers with quiet, unhurried interest.

The pressure that rolled off him was casual, almost lazy... and yet it made the air itself feel heavier.

Sunya, Jovian, and the Cosmic Union Human all froze at the same moment, muscles tightening, every instinct on high alert.

And... Neither Sunya nor Jovian had any idea who he was; the changes from his evolution were too drastic — the change in his horns, the eyes, and the overwhelming presence that seemed to fill the space.

HUMMM!!!!

The Cosmic Union Human was the first to react. Power flared around him as he dropped into a combat stance.

"Identify yourself... now!"

Sunya’s Primordial bow materialized in her hands in a flash of green-gold light, an arrow already nocked.

Her green eyes were sharp and cold.

"What... what happened to this battlefield? Where are the armies?"

Jovian floated a half-step forward, Fate Breaker Sword resting on his shoulder.

His usual easy demeanor had tightened into something more focused, white blindfold turned directly toward Akasha.

"Yeah... care to explain that little... paradise?"

Akasha simply raised the wine glass and took a slow sip of the dark blood.

The thick liquid clung to his lips for a moment before he wiped it away with his thumb.

Yume’s icy-blue-streaked eyes remained locked on the trio with cold indifference. Luna, however, let out a soft, delighted chuckle, clearly enjoying the tension.

"Fufufu~ Didn’t the two of you come to watch Lord Dream a few months ago?" she asked lightly, stirring the pot with open amusement.

As soon as the name slipped from her lips, Sunya and Jovian’s eyes darted back to Akasha, their expressions lit with sudden, sharp recognition.

They didn’t move to run, nor did they so much as flinch, holding their ground with an unshaken calm.

Jovian’s face slowly warped into a sharp, competitive smile.

"Well... well, it turns out this trip will be better than I thought..."

Sunya kept her expression composed, though her thoughts were spinning. She sent a quiet mental message to the Cosmic Union Human.

’This man... he’s strong. Don’t do anything reckless!’ At the same time, her own mind was racing.

’How can this be the same person?’ She couldn’t make sense of it.

Before, she could clearly sense his White Elven bloodline, but now there was nothing... only an overwhelming power far beyond her rank.

As she thought to herself, Jovian stepped forward, clearly ready to test the waters, but Sunya’s hand shot out and stopped him cold.

’This... idiot!’ She thought as she kept her gaze locked on Akasha.

"Lord Dream.... what is your purpose in the Underside?" she asked, voice calm but edged with steel.

Akasha’s eyes moved slowly over the three of them.

’Hmm... it seems like not much has changed with these two.’

He thought to himself as he quickly scanned them and at the same time he looked a tad deeper. Just so he could get the information he came here for.

In a flash, everything flooded into him — the meeting with the Celestial Mother, the state of the battlefields, the endless duel between Amaterasu and Izanami.

Taking it all in, Akasha let out a low, soft chuckle.

’Well... ending this war might be easier than I thought.’

’And on top of that... their favorability hasn’t budged an inch,’ he noted, seeing it still rested at 50%.

In that moment... A faint, graceful smile curved his lips.

"Hmmm... has any of you ever tasted Dragon blood..." he asked lightly, "...mixed with Ghouls, Vampires, Dead Kami, Sun Kami... and Humans?"

At those words, the three of them went slightly pale. For the first time, Jovian’s smile wavered as the implication sank in.

’Has.... he been drinking the blood of the fallen armies?’, Sunya realized with a chill.

Akasha took another slow, deliberate sip from the glass before replying to Sunya’s question in a voice filled with quiet certainty.

"Oh... and my purpose here is to end the war."

He left it at that, unwilling to elaborate further—anything beyond that, in his mind, was none of their concern.

Sunya’s brows furrowed ever so slightly as she responded...

"If that is truly your goal, then you should stand with the Celestial Sun."

Akasha gave a single shake of his head, a gesture both graceful and final, before getting straight to the heart of it.

"If you’re here to claim this land, to sway me into your cause, or for anything that doesn’t center on what I want...then you can beat it."

The air seemed to still, a heavy silence hanging overhead.

The face of the Cosmic Union Human contorted, tight with anger.

HUMMMM!!!!!

The insolence — the open blasphemy against the Supreme Goddesses — made power flare violently around him. Before he could lash out, Sunya’s green eyes narrowed and she stopped him with a sharp glance.

She looked her attention back to Akasha, voice low and precise. "Then what is it that you want?"

Akasha tilted his head, a real smile spreading across his lips for the first time—slow, smooth, and laced with a subtle hint of danger.

[Dream Walker (Above Origin)]

The moment he unleashed his innate power, the world around them disappeared.

In the next heartbeat, Akasha and Sunya found themselves standing alone in the first tier of Dream Land.

----

Tier One of Dream Land was where Akasha would bring beings whenever he stepped into their dreams.

With just a thought, he could transform it into anything he desired.

And in this moment, the realm had become something akin to an Elven Heaven — vast, living forests of ancient white trees whose leaves chimed softly like crystal bells.

Wide platforms of smooth living wood suspended among thick, glowing canopies, gentle streams of clear water winding through moss-covered roots, and a soft golden-green light filtering through the leaves that felt warm and alive against the skin.

They sat perched on a thick, mossy branch high in one of the tallest trees, the wood beneath them warm and faintly throbbing.

For a while, neither said a word.

Sunya’s green eyes scanned the paradise around her, her mind spinning with shock and calculation.

’This... this place... he pulled me in without resistance.’ She thought as nothing about Akasha made any sense.

She kept her expression composed, but inside she was weighing every possible outcome, every risk, every potential alliance or threat.

After a long moment, Akasha simply smiled and said, "Beautiful, isn’t it?"
