Chapter 113: Yomi’s Reckoning

"Celestial Mother," Sunya said clearly. "I have been informed of the Celestial Sun’s current situation."

The projected woman’s green eyes traveled slowly across every face in the war room.

They lingered on Sunya with unmistakable warmth, flicked over the blindfolded human with sharp interest, then settled on the Sun Kami General.

When she finally spoke, her voice carried the dual weight of a mother’s affection and a queen’s absolute command.

"Little Sunya," she murmured, the words soft enough to feel like a caress. "You have come a long way... Good Job, you will be rewarded greatly."

For the briefest moment her gaze caught the faint glowing thread of fate that stretched between Sunya and the Jovian.

’Hmm... it looks like they’ve intertwined their life threads,’ she observed, leaning in for a closer look.

’Oh? This young man... managed to hold his ground through an entire year of battle. Now that’s interesting.’

A faint, knowing smile played at her lips—subtle, amused, and tinged with genuine intrigue—before it quietly faded away.

Her attention locked onto the General and the temperature in the room seemed to drop.

"Speak. What has become of Amaterasu and that... woman Izanami?"

The General’s solar flames dimmed under her gaze, but his voice was steady as he replied.

"They’ve been locked in a stalemate for sixty long eras, Supreme Goddess. No one, anywhere across the fronts, has any real knowledge of how their fight stands.

The whole war hangs in the balance, waiting for the result of their struggle."

Her eyes narrowed, sharp and green.

"And the Ancestors of your Pantheon?"

"Dead," the General replied with a heavy tone. "Every last one... they gave their lives, along with the other side’s Ancestors, to stop... Divine Horrors."

HUMMMMM!!!!

A golden emergency flare suddenly erupted across the central map. The General’s head snapped toward it.

In an instant, his expression turned grim as the grim news sank in.

"Th-the last two Star Union battlefields have fallen," he said, his voice taut with tension.

"Dead Sun reinforcements completely overran one front — our remaining forces are being pushed all the way to the continent’s edge.

And... the second battlefield has gone utterly dark.... With no survivors on either side."

The projected image of the Celestial Mother grew as cold and unyielding as deep winter.

"Enough," she commanded, her voice cracking through the air like a whip. "The Celestial Accord has far greater matters to contend with... This war ends now."

-----

Light-years away, in a star system steeped in living gold and endless green, six vibrant worlds orbited a majestic pantheon complex that floated freely in the void.

The structure itself was a colossal spire of living emerald and gold stone, vast enough to house cities within its levels, its surfaces etched with ancient runes that pulsed with quiet power.

No suns or stars lit it; instead, the complex glowed from within with a soft, perpetual radiance born of pure divinity.

At the summit of the highest spire the Celestial Mother stood before an open archway. Her long green hair moved without wind, cascading like living silk down her back.

She raised one elegant hand and snapped her fingers once.

Snap!

In that instant, three Cosmic Union auras flared into existence behind her and dropped to one knee — two Elves and one Human, power rolling off them in controlled waves that made the tower stones sing with resonant force.

Her voice rang out, clear and absolute, carrying the full authority of her station.

"Prepare yourselves. We go to destroy the wretched Dead Sun Pantheon once and for all."

She opened her mouth again and spoke in the Language of Gods, each syllable bending reality around it like soft clay.

"Deliver us to Sunya Ultos, Goddess of the Eternal Hour, at this exact moment."

There was no flash of light, no dramatic explosion—just reality quietly shifting them away.

In that moment, the world seemed to twist.

----

A burst of golden-green light erupted in the Celestial Sun’s war room, the shimmering projection breaking apart into glowing petals before fading away completely.

In its stead appeared the Celestial Mother herself — tall and resplendent, her long green hair cascading like living silk, her steady green eyes both serene and fearsome in their unshakable resolve.

Flanking her, three members of the Cosmic Union emerged in flawless formation, their sharp gazes sweeping the chamber as they methodically searched every shadow for potential danger.

The very air bowed.

Even the General’s solar flames lowered as if in instinctive submission.

The Celestial Mother’s gaze found Sunya first, softening for the span of a single heartbeat with maternal warmth, then swept across Jovian and the General like the arrival of an unstoppable season — calm, absolute, and carrying the quiet promise of ending eras.

Sunya, immediately rose and dropped to one knee.

Her long blond braid fell gracefully over her shoulder, green eyes lowered in perfect respect.

The General followed a heartbeat later, solar flames dimming further as his armored form sank into a deep, reverent kneel, the weight of sixty eras of war momentarily forgotten under her presence.

Jovian... however, was the only one who remained seated.

He sat there casually, the pure white blindfold tilted slightly as he surveyed the entire scene with open, unbothered interest.

Internally a single amused thought drifted through his mind.

’Damn... elves really are hot.’

One of the Cosmic Union humans standing behind the Supreme Goddess of Luminous Nature stepped forward sharply, voice ringing with cold authority.

"You dare have such thoughts, blind fool? Show proper respect before the Supreme Goddess!"

Hearing this, Jovian’s brow arched... but he still couldn’t help but crack a bright, carefree laugh, the sound light and utterly unconcerned.

He tilted his head, white hair shifting like pale fire.

"Well, color me ignorant, but I have no idea who the hell she is. So... why am I kneeling?"

Sunya’s shoulders tensed ever so slightly.

She shook her head once in quiet disapproval but stayed silent, still kneeling, green eyes fixed on the floor.

The Celestial Mother’s soft chuckle filled the war room, warm and amused rather than offended.

She simply ignored Jovian’s insolence, turning her full attention to the matter at hand with regal finality.

"Enough," she said, voice smooth yet carrying absolute command.

"We move now. Sunya, you will take this human and one of my Cosmic Union subordinates to the second Star Union battlefield.

Secure it completely.....

General, you and the remaining two will head to the recently claimed Dead Sun battlefield and finish what was started.

I will go directly to Amaterasu... and help her kill Izanami once and for all."

A wave of fierce determination swept through the kneeling figures. Sunya and the General both bowed their heads lower in solemn agreement.

The three Cosmic Union warriors stood together in perfect unison, prepared for what was to come.

Everyone was committed, united in purpose.

Everyone, that is, except Jovian.

He raised one hand lazily, still smiling.

"Whoa, hold up. I never signed up to be part of any faction. I was just curious about what’s going on here. That’s it."

The Celestial Mother’s green eyes turned back to him. For a long moment she simply studied the intricate web of life threads surrounding him. A slow, knowing smile curved her lips.

"If you help," she said lightly, almost playfully, "I will give you a starship."

Jovian paused.

’Are these people reading... my mind?’

He tilted his head, white hair drifting, the blindfold hiding whatever expression crossed his face as the offer sank in.

The silence stretched for several heartbeats.

Before he could speak, the Celestial Mother nodded once, her smile sharpening.

"Yes. I am reading into your... mind and existence. There is nothing I don’t know about you, Jovian Savant... the Fate Breaker"

Her voice dropped into something quieter, more dangerous.

"Now go... before you become an enemy."
