Akasha stood alone on the blood-soaked battlefield, expression flat and bordering on irritation as the glowing words still hung in the air before him.
[But you have to say ’Mommy’... Call me Mommy.]
He stared at the message for a long moment, pure black eyes with narrow grey slits narrowing slightly.
His four black-and-grey horns tipped slightly, and at last he released a long, heavy sigh, laced with both resignation and a subtle hint of defiance.
"Look, I’ll be straight with you," he said, shaking his head.
He couldn’t tell if she was too powerful to grasp his perspective, or if such things simply didn’t matter to her.
Either way, he refused to let her gifts or her distant kindness shape how he viewed their relationship.
"I won’t acknowledge you as my mother... mommy... or whatever else you want to be called until we have a face-to-face." He paused, a small, sharp smile tugging at the corner of his lips.
"So, until the day you choose to appear... or until I come knocking on whatever door you’re hiding behind... you can forget about it."
As the words slipped from his lips, a sudden, unfamiliar pang tightened in his chest.
’Hmm... what the hell was that?’
He furrowed his brow, holding his ground, even as his thoughts churned over the strange sensation, he couldn’t quite place.
Somewhere far beyond the bounds of existence, Akashi observed him through the shifting, living sky of her realm.
She remained silent for a while, letting the moment stretch.
And then, in a voice barely above a whisper.
[Okay....]
In the next instant a clean notification bloomed in front of Akasha.
[You have acquired a new artifact – The Lucid Winter’s Peak (Saint)]
He arched a brow, mildly surprised at how easy it had been.
Noticing his mother had gone quiet, he gave a small shrug and mumbled under his breath.
"Well..." Turning his gaze back to the status screen, his eyes caught on a rank name he’d never seen before.
The unfamiliar title sparked a new thought in his mind, and a slow grin tugged at his lips.
"I think I know what kind of disciple I want next..." he murmured, the words barely audible.
Up until now, he understood just how far his dream-born knowledge could reach, though it wouldn’t make him omnipotent or grant him direct power.
Still, it could help with things like discovering which ranks lay beyond those already revealed in the world of Kalpa.
At this point, he only knew that the God rank followed Above Origin, and the Divine Rank came after the God rank.
Seeing the mountain’s description, he quickly came up with a way to tackle several problems at once.
For now, he set those thoughts aside and still hovering high above the ravaged Star Union battlefield, focused his will to summon the mountain.
Instead of a physical object materializing in his hand, an enormous illusory figure of the peak appeared before him — vast, towering, and almost dreamlike in its scale.
Just looking at it made the surrounding kilometers feel small.
A wide, genuine smile spread across Akasha’s face. He placed it not far from where he stood.
The moment he did, the mountain simply... appeared.
There was no sudden surge, no booming entrance, no dazzling burst of brilliance.
One moment the land lay bare, and the next, Lucid Winter’s Peak rose in place as though it had always been part of the world.
It was quietly, effortlessly beautiful.
The entire mountain looked as though it had been pulled from a lucid dream and frozen in eternal winter.
Its slopes were covered in soft, glowing snow that shimmered with pale blues and whites.
Dreamlike mist curled around its base, and faint auroras danced along its ridges. The stone itself held a subtle translucent quality, as if made of solidified snow and light.
Without waiting, Akasha flew toward it.
At the base, one thousand caves opened like dark mouths along the lower slopes, each one pulsing with condensed ambient Divinity.
With thick purple rivers of purified potential carving down the mountainside, glowing softly as they flowed through natural channels.
When he finally reached the peak, the world opened into a breathtaking frozen oasis.
Everything was still and perfect — a dreamy landscape of crystalline trees, soft glowing snowfields, and a wide plateau of smooth ice that reflected the seven suns like a mirror.
The moment his feet touched the highest point, Luna and Yume appeared beside him.
Luna’s long pink-and-purple hair swirled around her as she glanced about with bright, playful eyes. A soft chuckle escaped her lips.
"Fufufu~ Looks like someone’s beginning to warm up to his mother a bit more~."
Yume settled in beside her. Her purple hair and eyes were streaked with cool blues and icy tones, giving her an ethereal, sharper beauty.
She spoke as her voice carried a quiet, mischievous chill that both Luna and Akasha had been getting used to since her evolution.
"Hmm... maybe Master should just do things on his own time," she said lightly, though her icy-blue-streaked eyes flicked toward Akasha with clear loyalty.
"Master... there is no need to rush accepting someone who still hides."
Akasha chuckled softly, reaching out to gently ruffle Yume’s hair with familiar affection.
Luna, on the other hand, was more taken aback—mainly because Yume had once seemed far more open to the idea of even meeting Akashi.
Now, though, it was clear that her growth had shifted her perspective entirely.
"Yeah. I’ll handle it my way," Akasha said with quiet certainty.
Luna gave a slight shrug at the thought, a light laugh escaping as her eyes sparkled.
"Indeed, you should... Love, your pace is your own pace..."
With his expression settling into calm determination, Akasha fixed his gaze on the frozen plateau ahead.
"It’s time," he said. "We’re setting the second domain."
