Chapter 650: The Second Child Is Coming
After their daughter fell asleep, Chi Yu quickly carried her back to the children’s room.
It took less than two minutes.
Seeing his eager and impatient look, Gu Yuan couldn’t help but ask, "Have I wronged you?"
Chi Yu paused for a moment, looking up to meet Gu Yuan’s gaze, and then nodded earnestly, "Yes."
Gu Yuan: "...!"
Apart from their previous conflicts, Gu Yuan always gave him whatever he wanted, yet now he’s saying she’s wronged him? Just talking nonsense.
After hearing his reason, Gu Yuan almost choked on her own saliva.
He squeezed over suddenly; Gu Yuan suspected he could be pushed off the bed, but actually it was just a feeling—her body hadn’t moved much at all—and he quickly wrapped himself around her, whispering in her ear, "You give up after two rounds every time and threaten that there won’t be a next time if I continue. Isn’t that wronging me? Think about it yourself."
Gu Yuan: "..." Me!!?
His reasoning was so thorough that Gu Yuan couldn’t refute it, piecing together a few counterpoints to give him: "I’m considering you—continuing all the time will be tiring, and I don’t want you to be so exhausted."
The last sentence was said without much confidence.
Chi Yu seemed amused, laughing lowly, the sound enveloping Gu Yuan’s ears: "So Yuanyuan is worried I’m tired, I’ve been too self-centered."
The ending sounded very teasing.
Gu Yuan felt warm in his embrace, though mostly it was a sense of heat from her heart. She calmly said, "Okay, let go." The last few words were whispered: "...a bit hot."
"What did you say in those last three words, wife?" He seemed not to have heard clearly.
It was getting hotter... adult men and women, newlyweds, some things don’t need to be conveyed in detail, right? She pushed the man holding her, but it had no effect; like a big koala bear, he held her tightly and didn’t move.
Persistent.
"Yuanyuan."
He called her tenderly.
Gu Yuan vaguely responded, and by then his kisses had landed, densely packed and indistinct, making Gu Yuan feel adrift, unable to discern night from day, always feeling like she was about to drown, only Chi Yu could make her feel this way.
Wanting to tell him to stop, to get it over with, but the tone changed as soon as she spoke.
"Yuanyuan," he called her again, so tenderly that Gu Yuan’s heart softened.
Gu Yuan responded twice without listening to what he was saying.
It was too hot to bear, she tried kicking a few times.
Yet it was useless.
The warm breath sprayed onto her ear as Gu Yuan lightly, shallowly panted; with only a lamp lit indoors, vision was blurred but all sounds were amplified numerous times in her senses.
Senseless sounds, fragmented, enticing.
He leaned into her ear: "Yuanyuan, your husband isn’t tired."
"Your husband isn’t tired at all."
Gu Yuan couldn’t speak for a long time, yet he seemed to do it on purpose, constantly whispering in her ear.
Chi Yu always made her speak up, even if her voice was broken, he loved hearing it, couldn’t get enough.
Facing her husband’s enthusiasm, Gu Yuan didn’t hesitate to respond.
Every slight, unintentional response she gave could drive him crazy for a long time; when he went crazy, Gu Yuan suffered. So you can’t blame her for retreating after two rounds.
Just—
Something seemed a bit off.
Why was her stomach rolling, feeling nauseous...
Gu Yuan thought it was her imagination, why feel nauseous for no reason.
But soon, Gu Yuan realized it wasn’t an illusion.
She actually wanted to throw up.
"Uh... Chi Yu..."
Gu Yuan suddenly pushed Chi Yu away, flipped off the bed, and ran quickly into the bathroom.
Leaving behind a bewildered Chi Yu and what was just about to happen...
Very sudden.
So sudden that Chi Yu didn’t know how to react.
After rushing into the bathroom, Gu Yuan instinctively propped her hands on the sink, sensing something was off, she withdrew her hands from the sink and moved to the toilet.
With waves of nausea, Gu Yuan couldn’t actually throw up, only dry heaving, but her mouth tasted sour and bitter, a sensation she wasn’t unfamiliar with, having experienced the same thing four years ago.
The faucet turned on, with the sound of running water.
Gu Yuan splashed a handful of water onto her face, the cold water helped a bit but the stomach rolling hadn’t eased.
Planning to rinse her mouth, when a shadow pressed in beside her blocking the light, Gu Yuan looked up to see Chi Yu staring at her with a deeply hurt expression.
