The Way of using particles was generally dependent on your Talent; for example, Brenden needed to cycle them through his whole body equally in order to activate his Talent, whereas, for me, I needed first to accumulate the necessary particles around my Brain, then, I would move them depending on what I was attempting to do.

In the early stages, Arkadia would aid you in a "training wheels" manner, but once you reached Beta-Rank, that help vanished, and you were left on your own when it came to activating and using your Talent.

’Thinking back, originally, I required 20 PC to activate my Talent back when I reached Alpha-Rank; however, that was mainly due to me being a Basic Human …it should be different.’ I thought while thinking back to the day I evolved for the first time.

Back then, I noticed a decent reduction in the PC required for activation along with sustaining my Talent. Unfortunately, by the time I reached 6C, I was in the midst of a chaotic time and didn’t have a whole lot of leeway to test out the changes, especially since a horde of monsters was hunting my ass down.

’Amanda should be waking up to fetch me soon; I already hear Dad shuffling about in the kitchen making coffee, so time is of the essence.’ Flinching slightly as I heard movement outside my bedroom door, I quickly withdrew all the Particle Potions I had earned as a reward from the Event quest and laid them out.

’Well, I guess I may as well jump head first in, in the ABSOLUTE worse case…I think I’ll be able to burn off the excess PC before I explode…hopefully.’ Not giving myself a chance to second-guess my actions, I brought up my display panel, showing my stats, before swiftly uncorking the first potion and downing it in a single gulp.

Not even a full second later, I felt a cool sensation washing over my body, causing me to fight the urge to react to it verbally, and I pushed onward, gulping down four more potions.

Each Low-Alpha Particle potion added 10 PC to your pool, so after drinking all five and gaining 50 points, I paused to check my body.

As expected, I was perfectly fine, a little full from drinking so many Particle rich potions, but that wasn’t a big deal.

Storing the empty vials back in my inventory, I sat there for a couple of minutes, eyes closed and focused, watching and waiting for any negative side effects caused by introducing such a large amount of Particles to my body, but even after 10 minutes had passed, there was no change, causing me to break out into a wide grin.

’Hm, 50 PCs is enough for four activations and limited use of my Talent; still, it’s not enough, as it stands, after chugging the elixir and all those acclimation potions I’ve filled out and ended up looking around 3 to four years old now physically.’

Lifting my left arm, I flexed a couple of times to watch the muscles bulge slightly. Although my stats indicated I was stronger physically when compared to the initial stats everyone got upon Arkadia’s descent, between my size and limited mobility, I knew unless I were extremely crafty, I wouldn’t be able to stand toe to toe with an adult, let alone a bigger kid in a fight, which was frankly disappointing.

’First things first, I’ll need to use my Talent to suggest that Amanda and Dad or anyone else for that matter that has known me since birth thinks nothing of my sudden growth spurt nor good health.’

’Realistically, it shouldn’t be that difficult; between my Meta Physical Offensive stat and high intellect, I should have no problem dealing with a bunch of Basic Humans. Still, it’s going to take time; my "Suggestion" skill is a far cry from the brainwashing I was capable of in the higher Ranks, so I will need multiple sessions to ensure that it sticks.’

’For now, let’s test my body and see how many of these potions I can drink. I’ll have to be careful, but since Low-Alpha Particle Potions only re-coop 10 PC, it’ll be fine…I think, sigh, my poor wallet. I can already tell this will be a pain in the ass.’

Wishing I could complain to someone about the increase in prices, I reluctantly purchased another ten potions for a whopping 6250 Low-Alpha coins, causing my already dwindling wallet to gasp for air.

’Well, at least I didn’t fall below 10k coins; still, having spent almost 10,000 Low-Alpha coins on basically nothing, I can’t help but be both annoyed at myself and angry with Arkadia for changing the values of items.’ Fighting back the urge to throw a fit, I looked at the ten vials sitting before me and sighed.

’Let’s just get this over with,’ in a grumpy state, I snatched up the first vial and drank its contents.

For the next short while, I entered a repetitive pattern of drinking one potion and then waiting several minutes for anything bad to happen.

The first five potions went down without much resistance, raising my available PC up to 100 points; however, as I was digesting the 6th potion, I noticed some strain in my body, which inadvertently forced my muscles and belly to swell ever so slightly.

Recognizing this as my body rejecting going over 100 points, I took the biggest breath imaginable and took advantage of my being a baby…

"WAHHHHHH, WAHHHHHHHH, WAHHHHHH!"

And belted out the loudest cries I could possibly manage.

’What’s the point of being a baby if I can’t summon my parents when I need something, heh, not gonna lie, it’s still pretty embarrassing though…’ Although I had tears streaming down my cheeks, and my cries filled the house, if you looked at my eyes, you wouldn’t see an infant upset over something; no, instead, you would do a double take because there was a look of clear, mature, irritation on my face.

Like ants rushing to protect their queen, not even a minute after I began my wailing, my bedroom door burst open, revealing the severely annoyed Amanda, and in turn, causing a sadistic smile to light up my face.

’Andddd, activate!’
