’Psy-Kinesis,’ mentally verbalizing the command I had become accustomed to saying, my eyes lit up with a minor, icy blue light, a far cry from what I was capable of at my peak.
Seeing the glow emitting from my eyes, Amanda was suddenly filled with panic, but just as she was going to rush to me, her movement stopped, and a similar, albeit significantly weaker, glow started radiating from her eyes, too.
’Nothing is wrong; all you see is a hungry, healthy baby, Taylor. You will chalk my immense growth to being my first growth spurt, that is all.’ Each word, I thought, was directly sent to Amanda’s mind, causing her to nod once, twice, three times before calmly walking over to me and beginning her morning routine.
Meanwhile, I could feel sweat trickling down my brow, and my eyes flicked over toward my display panel.
’Damn…that was…more difficult than I thought, 27 words, that was all I spoke, yet the drain on my available PC was massive.’
Between the 27 words and the activation of my Talent, I had burned an incredible 59 PC points, far more than I had predicted.
To make matters worse, because I didn’t have any Alpha Particles naturally assimilated, thanks to being No-Rank Level Zero, apart from chugging down more potions, I had no way to regenerate my lost PC.
However, one thing I did notice was how seamlessly I was able to coerce Amanda. Since she carried on as if nothing was wrong, I knew that I had effectively planted the initial seeds necessary to get my way.
Soon enough, I found myself running through a similar process with my father. This time, I cut out the fluff about being hungry and made it so that he would basically ignore my growth.
With my suggestions planted in both Amanda and my father, I knew the first step of my long-term plan had begun.
Unfortunately, for me to continue with what I had in store for them required a vast amount of both wealth and Particle potions, so once my Dad had gone to work, the time to take action was upon me.
Fifteen minutes later, Amanda put me into my playpen for the day, and I went to work exchanging a portion of the 8.1 million USD I had in my inventory into Arkadia coins and then potions.
’My limit is 110 PC, but with each word I use, I’m losing 2 points, along with a 5-point activation cost; man, if this were back then, I would have been ecstatic about how inexpensive it is to use my Talent, but now…tsk.’
In the early ranks, without the ability to regenerate my PC, using my Talent was no better than going on a never-ending spending spree. If I wasn’t able to figure out a proper way of wording my Suggestion Skill, all I would be doing is burning funds.
Several hours later, when nap time rolled around, Amanda deposited me into my crib before leaving me alone for the usual two hours, and in that time, I got a lot done.
For starters, I had worked out my phrasing, which would be used to maneuver and manipulate Amanda and my Father. After running the numbers, I felt empty inside, as all I would be left with was a paltry couple of million dollars.
Yes, yes, I can hear you from here, "Paltry Million Dollars, DAMN IT, TAYLOR I WOULD KILL FOR THAT MUCH MONEY YOU FIRST WORLD PRICK!" You need to realize money, like NORMAL money, doesn’t mean jack all to me in a financial sense.
With the knowledge that anything apart from Arkadia Coins will be phased out, standard USD or any other form of Currency is no different than Manipoly money, which is fake and useless.
Sure, it has its use in the present era, but I would much rather have Arkadia Coins because, unlike other forms of Currency, they ACTUALLY hold their value.
I suppose you think a million dollars is a lot; well, in that case, I can’t help you because if I am able to follow through with my schemes, billions, maybe even trillions of USD will go through my hands at some point.
With the majority of my expenses going through Arkadia, the only purpose of physical normie money was to live a lavish lifestyle, which, apart from certain aspects, I didn’t care for.
Regardless, what the actual hell is a child going to do with that much money…you know what, I don’t know why I’m even bothering to argue with you since you’re just a figment of my imagination; anyway, where was I, oh, the phrases.
Over the next few weeks, I would trickle down orders to both Amanda and My father, along with any family member or family friend, making them view me as nothing more than a slightly healthier and bigger child.
Any mistakes or incidents that occurred due to lapses in my judgment were steadily handled with the use of my Talent, and with each use, it would grow stronger.
After the first use, I learned that each word would essentially represent a 0.2% increase in my progress bar; thus, with the modifier, I soon found myself soaring through the No-Rank grade in my Talent Growth rate.
Days came and went, turning into weeks and then months, until finally, around the end of May, when the announcement I had been waiting for was made.
Amanda was pregnant with her second child, and since she was already three months along, and my father was too excited to contain the gender reveal to our household, soon, the entire family was aware that there would be another baby boy born in October.

Unfortunately, what was supposed to be a happy occasion for the majority of families caused utter chaos at home. My father, being already in his late 40s, didn’t want another child, but after much arguing and finding out it would be a baby boy, he relented, only to receive bad news in August of 1993.
There was potentially something wrong with baby Brenden, and when I overheard this fact, it took every ounce of my willpower not to burst out in hideous laughter.
The reason being…I had LONG known about it, and it would even become a topic my father and I would regularly tease him with in the future.
