Although I had gone to great lengths to differentiate between my two aliases in the public eye, such as going so far as to change the color of my hair with all three (Nexus White, Xipher Dirty Blond, and you’ll see Taylors later), along with changing my stature and physical build slightly with the suits, there needed to be a little extra added on, to ensure further no one was able to connect, Xipher and Nexus, or even my real self, to either of them.
Honestly, it was a lot to juggle, and things would be so much easier if I could just go out and do as I please, but alas, life was never easy.
Landing on the ground beside the groveling Draven, I dusted off my shoulders and flared out my robes as if saying, that was easy before turning my eyes down toward the lavender-haired man.
"Now then, where were we? Ah yes, modifications, right, Dravey? I’ve told you time and time again that there are certain things that even if you CAN, you shouldn’t do, and making physicological adjustments to something as dangerous as a NightWalker, that’s right up there on the lists of nonos." Taking a knee and patting the man’s shoulder, I could see he relished at the slightest of my touches, which disgusted me to no end.
"But.."
"AT-AT, children are meant to be seen, not heard!"

In the blink of an eye, my shoulder pats turned into me using 20% Actuate to shatter his shoulder and force him to the ground.
"I Warned you about such things, yet you went against my advice like a naughty child, and now we have a serious problem on our hands. Not only have you revealed the existence of monsters from a different realm to the heroes, but you’ve also shown them off to the world. Have you not noticed we have an audience?" Releasing Draven, who didn’t make so much as a hiss at the pain I’d inflicted, I spun around with my arms outstretched and brought attention to the over a dozen baseball-sized camera drones flying around.
"Dragons, Basilisks, hell hounds, you had THOUSANDS of potential monsters which could have been chosen as Gate bosses, but instead, you decided to take it upon yourself to do something that could potentially destroy Earth."
"Hah~ whatever shall I do with you, little Dravey, I swear, so smart yet sooooooo stupid. Did you not think something from the Negative Realm would notice the disappearance of five NightWalkers? There is, after all, a hierarchy in that land."
"Worse yet, all NightWalkers share a hive mind with their leaders who are capable of spying on their minions, and NOW, you have exposed Earth to their purview, and I haven’t even gotten started on the fact that you planted some of your little toys inside of the ones you summoned." Keeping up with my theatrics, I cupped my face and shook my head.
Drooping my shoulders, I released my face and turned to look at the NightWalker in the distance as it struggled to recover from the injuries it had sustained from not only the fall but the collision with Draven in the sky.
I could even see bones and joints popping into place as its skin crawled around, indicating it was healing internal damage, too.
’50% was enough to keep it from healing within a few minutes, especially since I fired off five attacks in less than a second. Each one smashed into its body faster than the speed of sound and, in turn, forced it to accelerate and decelerate rapidly, IE, the cause of the multiple sound barrier breaks. A shame though that my knives couldn’t hold up and were destroyed, no doubt fragmenting inside of its body and being the source of its internal damage.’
"Now tell me, Little Dravey, how many of your toy fragments are inside that abomination? There is no way it should still be standing after the blows it received from me, and yet, not only is it healing, but it will be back to full strength within a couple of minutes." Tilting my head to the side and looking down at Draven, I permitted him to speak.
"Six, there are six homunculus fragments, one in its neck, each arm, leg, and chest…or at least there were six; when the heroes removed its core, the sixth fragment was lost." Holding his shoulder, Draven stood up and continued his submissive act. He followed my gaze and watched the NightWalker get to its feet.
"Ho, hum, what to do, what to do? I have half a mind just to cripple you and feed you to it; not only did you take a Beta-Rank NightWalker and transform it to an abomination that breaks Rank Barriers, but you unleased four others around the tower, albeit weaker monsters, but still."
"Milord Xipher…isn’t that…a bit excessive?" Watching Draven taking a step back, I couldn’t help but smirk at his cowardice when it came to me. Then again, it was to be expected, considering he knew exactly what I was capable of, more so than even my family probably was.
We had fought numerous times, and each time, I came out on top, given I had abruptly shown up and manhandled the NightWalker; it was more than enough evidence that I was a serious threat, given he went against me.
However, at the same time, I didn’t ignore the fact that it could all be a ploy by Draven to entice me into dropping my guard against him.
"Excessive, you say? Not in the least, you know I do as I please when I want, and the moment your incompetence outweighs your usefulness to me, I will erase you from existence."
’One solid blow at 100% should be enough to kill him.’ I thought while watching Draven take a step away from me.
"Gaooo, Gaoooooo," coughing up black gas, the monster was finally back to full health again and standing tall at its impressive height, towering over me by a long shot, yet I didn’t flinch or even acknowledge it; instead, my eyes were locked on Draven, I could see the gears spinning in his head, and if his Intellect stat weren’t so high, I could have read his mind. Still, I could tell he was about to try something.
The question is, what?
