’Brenden, Dad, Xilia, and Emilia, be on your guard. Something’s up with Draven, and everyone needs to be ready to either get the fuck out of here at the drop of a hat or be ready for battle in an instant.’ Sensing something was off with the Lavender-haired man, I slowly tilted my head to the side and glared hatefully at Draven while prepping my team.

"Whatever you are planning, I wouldn’t recommend it, Dravey; I was in such a good mood being able to come out and stretch my legs for the first time in a while, and if you go and spoil that, well, how about we just say it won’t end in your favor." With that, I flared my aura and Racial Dominance, which was immediately met by a counter from Draven, who unleased his own in response.

"I look up to you, Lord Xipher. I truly do, but you are a relic from a different time; I am no longer the same man you once knew." In an instant, the cowardice and submissive attitude dropped as a black and red substance began leaking from Draven’s skin and accumulating atop the brim of his head.

It was the Homunculus Crown, which I had been cautious of even in the Origin Timeline when I was in my prime.

While its form was nearly the same, unlike the last time I saw it, this new version seemed…alive; the liquid never stayed stationary and continued to flow, giving it both a solid and fluid-like appearance at the same time.

Spikes and barbs jutted out from every open space, and in a sense, it reminded me of the crown of thorns seen in Christianity; well, if it came from hell, that is.

"You never change; no matter how much I grovel, you still look down on me as an underling; that haughty attitude, your cockiness, and aloof words, they are the same as back then…I had hoped that you’d be willing to join me and even prostrate at your feet, but of course, it didn’t work; I don’t know why I even bothered." With a sad look on his face, Draven jerked his right arm up, causing his shoulder to crack loudly as the injury sustained earlier repaired itself instantly.

"I see you’ve already formed your crown, so that’s how it’s going to be; a shame, it really is," slamming down both arms, I extended out my claws and stood there with them dangling by my side in a casual pose.

"I’ve gotta say, Lord Xipher, you truly are impressive; even now, given all the factors working against you, I don’t see an ounce of fear or concern on your face."

"I may look up to, or even Idolize you, but that doesn’t mean you can just fly in and interfere with my carefully laid out plans.

"GAOOOO!" At that moment, as if sensing that things were breaking down and giving it an opening, the NightWalker rushed forward to attack me in particular, as I was the source of its pain; however, I was having none of it.

"Actuate, 75%." moving almost in slow motion and leaving a trail of afterimages, I moved my left arm lazily upon the monster coming within a few feet of me, and the result was pure devastation to both my arm and the NightWalker.

Twenty-six golfball-sized holes tore open on the NightWalker, without any pattern or consistency, just wherever I hit, and that wasn’t all either; time seemed to freeze for a moment, as nothing happened…then a flurry of shockwaves erupted from the monster’s back, filling the space behind with black gas and chunks of flesh.

Once the final shockwave finished, like something out of a movie, the monster, which had been locked in place, suddenly launched backward with a delayed reaction and emitted an ear-shattering screech of agony.

BOOOOOM

All at once, as if it had been crashed into by a speeding plane, the NightWalker slammed into the mountainside with such force that it generated a massive 50-foot wide, 20-foot deep crater in the rocky terrain.

’Tsssss, that fucking hurt,’ allowing my left arm to dangle at my hip, as it had before my attack, I upped the concoction dosage and knew my left arm was going to be useless for some time, for right now, there wasn’t a single bone intact, it had all been pulverized in an instant.

’My left arm is basically mush, and if it weren’t for my gauntlet and suit, it wouldn’t hold its form…tsk, regardless, that thing won’t be getting up anytime soon; each one of my hits was strategic, and I targeted all of the Homunculus fragments too, they were instantly destroyed, so right now, the monster will be no different from any other disabled NightWalker.’

Rolling my shoulders and ignoring the pain as if I hadn’t just mutilated my body in half a second, I smacked my lips and giggled.

"Oops, broke your toys," looking toward Draven with smiles in my eyes, I played it off as if I were totally fine, and seeing what I had done to the NightWalker was clearly enough to shake the man, as I could see his complexion pale several shades and hesitation flashed through his eyes.

"That’s…impossible, you destroyed them all with a single attack…and I couldn’t even see it…how you…no…you’ve gotten even stronger than you were in the Origin Timeline; how is this possible, is it because of your Racial Classification?" Questions began piling up in Draven’s head as he took another step away from me.

"Am I? That’s an interesting theory; weak, strong; it’s all irrelevant so long as you have a brain that can set a chessboard in the proper configuration." I said while twirling around so that my robe could flutter.

’Hes going to run,’ but even while playing the part of the Lunatic Xipher, I was never off guard, and just as I had predicted, a purple rip in space opened up behind Draven as he took another step backward.

"And you, little Dravey, have fallen perfectly for my carefully laid trap!"
