After speaking, several seconds passed by with no response, and after the 30-second mark, I stopped tapping my foot and glared up at the storm clouds above.

"Really now, you decide to act like a child once I call you out; if you don’t get down here this instant, then I will have no other option but to go up and drag you down."

This time, I noticed a flicker in the sky, no doubt Draven moving higher up to avoid me, but he and I both knew it wasn’t going to solve anything in doing so…yet he still did.

The act reminded me of a child who was too scared to fess up that they had stolen cookies from the jar and was trying to avoid detection.

"Alright, I warned you, Dravey, the hard way it is." Holding my hands up in defeat, I walked over toward the NightWalker, who, upon seeing me, flared up, hissed, and tried hitting me again, only to get caught in my grasp.

’Actuate: 30%’ leaving behind two after images, I appeared less than an arm’s length away from the monster and gripped it by the throat.

’This is gonna hurt…oh well, 50%.’ In an instant, I felt a searing heat course through my body as the Skill supercharged the particles cycling through my veins to my muscles.

In response to my movement, my armor slid around and did its job, restricting and compressing certain key points of my arm, kind of like how a flight suit does for fighter pilots, and then, with a little crouch, I lifted the monster off the ground, whipped it around to my left, and then launched it like a spear into the sky, generating not one, but five individual sonic booms as the NightWalker rocketed toward its destination.

’Ow…’ Upon deactivating my Skill, my entire arm went numb after a split second of intense pain.

That small movement had nearly pulverized all the bones, torn every ligament, and shredded the muscles in my upper back, shoulder, and left arm; even still, after another quick injection, the damage was rapidly repairing.

"GAOOO"

"AHH, LORD XIPHER NO IM SORRY"

BOOOOM BOOOOMMM

Over a thousand feet above, with laser-like accuracy, the NIghtWalker Slammed into the airborne Draven in a manner befitting thunderclaps. After a shrill scream from the man in question, two figures began dropping from above.

Meanwhile, I calmly watched this happening as the two figures crashed onto the platform, causing the ground to tremble with the impact.

’When the hell did you get so Overpowered? Why couldn’t you have done this from the beginning,’ Brenden complained in the Telepathic link, only to be scolded by our Father and Emilia.

’Look at your brother’s left arm and ask that again.’ Dad stated in a fierce tone.

’Brenden, you idiot, do you even realize how much damage he sustained with that simple move? We all know how dangerous his Actuate Skill is, and even using it less than a second tore all the muscles in his back and shoulder, yet you want him to rush forward and fight like that?’ Emilia, on the other hand, was much more harsh with her husband.

’Uh….’

’It’s fine. I wanted to do this from the start, but given the fact that I can only use Actuate for a limited amount of time and that I needed to keep up the Nexus persona, it wasn’t something easily achieved.’ Interrupting, I skipped toward the NightWalker and Draven cheerfully, as if I didn’t have a care in the world.

’Also, it wasn’t possible so long as the monster still had its Annihilation Aura active; I would be taking one step forward and two steps back with each attack since the Aura would erode my body alongside the damage dealt by my skill.’

Casually arriving by Draven’s side, I made sure to give the NightWalker a fierce 20% kick to the head and fling it away so I could have a nice little chat with the person who idolized me.

"Sigh…I really did warn you, Dravey, but NoOoOoOo~ you refuse to fess up when I demand it." Crouching beside him, I grabbed hold of the long lavender locks of hair and tilted Draven’s head up so he could look me in the eyes.

"L…Lord Xipher…it’s really you…*Sniffle*," but instead of fear, I was greeted by tears and a snot-filled nose, nearly making me drop the guy face first onto the platform.

"Dear Dravey, do I really need to start breaking bones or, worse, pulling off body parts? You know better than to ignore me when I call for you. Now, Go on, explain what the heck you did to that NightWalker because from what I know, there is no way it should have such high regenerative abilities."

"Jaxx, NOW!" Right as Draven was about to answer my question, Brenden, the idiot he is, jumped up and tried attacking us with multiple Air-Pressure Blasts alongside our Father….and amazingly enough, a half-healed Sonas.

’You little shit, I’ll kick your ass when we get home,’ I snarled through the Telepathic link causing Brenden to flinch but still follow through with his attack.

"Hold that thought, Dravey," Taking a steady breath through my nose and running my tongue along the inside of my left cheek, I activated 20%. I disappeared from my spot, leaving behind an image as I flashed in front of Sonas First, backhanded him, then bumped up to 25% and arrived at Brenden, where I kicked him in the ribcage before springboarding off him toward my Father.

’Sorry, Dad,’ I said in the link before dropping my Actuate down to 10%, bringing both hands over my head and smashing them down on top of my Father, smacking him to the ground with a loud BOOM!

Just like that, I dealt with the three of them; although I was a little heavy-handed on my brother, I went light on my Father, and I didn’t care how badly Sonas was hurt. I knew they would all survive my attacks.

It was all an act, one coordinated between Dad and Brenden to try and keep the line between heroes and Xipher solidly in place.
