Once again, atop my perch, I surveyed the battlefield and monitored the progression of each squad; meanwhile, in my left eye was a split-screen view of the Fire and Zap squad as they completely obliterated everything in the trenches. Funny enough, both groups took up a similar approach, standing side by side and running the length of the trenches while using their Talent Skills.

It made for quite a sight to see; one half of the mountain was an inferno while the other, a massive dragon formed of lightning, tore its way through anything that stood in its path.

And as the squads navigated the miles of trenches, nothing but ash remained in their wake. However, the longer this went on, the more haggard I saw the heroes becoming, so I decided on how to move forward in a split second.

((MsCastle, take Piniki and move toward Fire Squad by air, then drop off two bottles of Alpha Particle Water to each member and move clockwise around the mountain to catch up to Zap before doing the same.))

((The rate theyre going by the time they make it to the primary battlefield, they will be too exhausted to fight.))

((Got it Nexus, we are on the move,)) looking up at me from a quarter mile away, I noticed Emilia scooping up Piniki again onto one of her floating disks before flying off to the northwest.

Ten minutes later, the plan I had set in motion began showing results as the ramp and tailwind were completed, leading to thousands of Undead sliding down into the muddy terrain generated by Hydro.

It was like watching a fuck ton of grisly-looking kids going down a slip-n-slide; first, they would clamber out of the gate before getting hit by a powerful gust that would send them tumbling off the platform onto the massive stone ramp.

From there, they would turn into tumbling objects, rolling head over heels and losing their weapons as they slide down the sharp incline over 200 feet.

Sure, there were shamans and other mage class types among the ranks of the Undead, but since they couldn’t get their footing and were immediately sent forward, not a single one could get off a spell or skill, and before they knew it, they were sliding on ice.

To be honest, it was pretty comical, even given the fact that all of the Undead was nightmare fuel for the average person; there was just something about watching 6 to 10-foot-tall zombies in armor flailing about helplessly.

Then, with the tailwind covering nearly half a mile, the horde was forcefully pushed forward while being off balance, right into our main line, Psyh squad, Xilia, Brenden, my Father, and Sonas.

Standing in a line with a few dozen feet in between them, the 12 heroes who could be seen as the primary physical fighters went to work, literally obliterating anything that came to them.

It was like a feeding trough of XP; all they had to do was stand in their little bubble of space and attack.

(Melee fighters don’t worry about the corpses; let them stack up for now, but make sure to destroy the Fragment in their chest.)

Although Air and Ice needed to stay in place due to sustaining the Tailwind and Ice, that didn’t mean that Hydro and Quake weren’t freed up, so I put them to work as well, and with that, my meat grinder was nearly complete, all we needed was the means to destroy the corpses which were piling up at an extremely quick rate.

"PHOENIX FIREEE KICK!!" And about 20 minutes later, reinforcements finally showed up.

Without my giving previous orders, Krak shot up from the trenches to the west like a meteor and, in stunning fashion, launched a massive bird-shaped fire projectile at several of the piles of corpses, incinerating them instantly.

(Welcome to the final battle, Fire; your task is to clean up, just like Krak did. Once the corpse piles are cleared, your task is to attack the horde from the flanks, but you need to take care not to melt the ice, so stick closer to the Melee lines; that way, the delivery channel isn’t affected by your attacks.)

Finally, at long last, 15 minutes after the arrival of the Fire squad, the last group, Zap, accompanied by Emilia and Piniki, joined the battle and were quickly assigned the same task as Fire, corpse removal, and mass destruction.

Now that everyone was together, while I left some drones out over each gate to monitor their activity, I controlled nearly every one of them to get good shots of the final battle, making me feel kind of like a movie director, a thought that almost made me chuckle aloud.

Tapping a control on my wrist, I assigned two drones to each person, myself included, before jumping off my pillar and straight into the thick of battle.

(THIS IS IT GUYS! THE FLOW FROM THE GATE IS SLOWING TO A TRICKLE; GO ALL OUT! SHOW THE WORLD THAT HEROES EXIST AND WE ARE HERE TO PROTECT THEM!) Giving one last rally cry, I lost myself in combat as battle cries and roars came from every direction.

Like the climax of an epic movie, attacks whizzed around the place: lightning, streams of Fire, waves of water, hail storms, tornados, in my case, Stone Spikes, and of course, compelling and intense hand-to-hand combat, no box was left unchecked, and best of all, things weren’t solely focused on me or my squad.

I had painstakingly highlighted every person present, giving them a moment to shine, with my biggest moment being my battlefield coordination.

Sure, I could be seen firing off attacks and showing off my impressive combat skills, but I blurred images in people’s minds with short clips; it was the same with Xilia, Emilia, and Brenden…then there was my Father, who, up until now, had been extremely quiet.

As a seasoned soldier, former swat officer, and of course High-Ranker, I pretty much left him to his own devices; there was no need to try and move him around as his battlefield awareness was damn close to my own.

He seemed to know exactly where he needed to be without any direction. Thus, I left him be. Frankly, he may have gotten a couple of extra camera shots, considering he was imposing with his gauntlets and massive hammer.

My Father was a literal one-man wrecking ball, barreling through Undead, smashing them to bits, punching holes in their bodies.

As the saying goes, if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it, and so that’s exactly what I had done.

And so, 8 hours after the first Undead appeared, the final corpse was incinerated by Krak, and like that, the first large-scale battle of Earth…came to a close.
