With the amount of PC I pumped into the command, the Wyrm was utterly helpless to fight against me, and as I watched its head snap toward the ceiling, I couldn’t help but smirk while imagining it being kicked in the jaw by my brother’s superior strength.

In the heat of the moment, I pushed down that thought and burst into action with my eyes scanning the length of its girthy throat for my prime target.

Crossing the few feet of distance between us in less time than it took to take a breath, my eyes trained in on a singular chink in its armor, the one and only mythical inverted scale, and the weakness of every species with Draconic blood running through their veins.

’Reverse scale located, let’s do this, Augmentation full strength,’ the moment I thought the activation command for my Skill, my leg muscles bulged slightly as power surged through them, giving me the necessary energy required for my ideal scenario.

At the same time, I felt my forearms and biceps engorge with energy as well before I split the difference between the edge of my weapons and empowering my arms.

Sure, it was nice to have a massive stat modifier boost; however, due to my immature physique, all I would be doing was shredding my arms to a point they would be unusable; hell, I was already pushing my legs, but since I had spent quite a bit of time training my calves, and quads, I knew they would easily hold out longer than my arms would.

Kicking off the ground, I springboarded up like a monkey, landing on the bent front limbs of the Wyrm, and half ran half scrambled upward.

’Two strikes, the first with my sword since it is way more durable, that will hopefully crack if not weaken the reverse scale; the second will be with my dagger.’ Swiftly scaling the bulky body of the TerraWyrm, I arrived close enough to my target to strike and strike I did.

Grunting with effort, I sprang away from the muscular shoulders of the Wyrm and immediately began spinning my body; the added rotation would no doubt increase the force I would be generating, and with a whip-like motion, I struck, With enough force to rip through the air and smash into the armor like plating, I launched my devastating attack on the monster.

BOOOMM

CRRRRAAAACKKKKKK

And the result was instant; there was no bending, no caving in, instead, a spider web of scary-looking cracks spread out from the direct center of the scale as large as my entire torso while sparks shot in every direction.

A sound akin to a car crash echoed throughout the cavern as I felt the Particles coating my blade disperse along with the chipping of the once impressive sword.

Clicking my tongue, I felt my body change direction thanks to the backlash of my attack, which sent a frightening amount of impact damage through my right arm, splintering the bones of my forearm and pulverizing the ones in my wrist.

Thankfully, it was my non-dominant hand, so I didn’t pay the injury any mind.

The combination of reflective force and impact damage spun my body in the opposite direction as the TerraWyrm released a pained and angry roar while attempting to bring its chin down like a battering ram directly onto my body.

Unfortunately, I was already in motion, and using the centripetal force of my counter rotation, I violently hammered my dagger into the throat of the Wyrm in a reverse grip, through the visibly damaged scale, through the thick underhide and fat, and finally directly into one of its two hearts.

With my first goal achieved, I didn’t wait around for a reaction from the beast; I instead propped my feet against the Wyrm’s throat, bent my knees, and kicked with everything I had, delivering a devastating drop kick into the monster, which not only propelled me away from it but also rocked the creature’s head backward as if a cannon had hit it.

Gliding through the air, I tucked in, hit the ground, rolled for a moment, and then bounced up to my feet just in time to dodge a wave of TerraBullets heading my direction.

’One heart down, only one more to go, pesky draconoid species.’ Taking a mental note of the state my legs were in, I pushed my body to its limits, dodging the significantly slower projectiles heading in my direction.

Although there were MANY different ways to kill a monster with a draconic bloodline, there were only a handful of them that would allow someone significantly weaker than the creature to come out the victor.

Of course, there were the obvious ones like beheading it or overwhelming the creature; however, those required you to be stronger or have high damage output; for someone in my situation, all I could do was wear it down until I was in a position that I could tackle the monster head-on.

Thus, I went with the tried and true method of taking out the first heart.

It was common knowledge that all Dragonoid creatures had two hearts; the first was generally located within the chest cavity of the monster; this was the organ that would pump blood through the beast’s body, giving it life, IE, a typical heart just like any other living being.

However, unlike most living beings, there was a SECOND, much more important heart located directly under the reverse scale of draconic species.

While the location of the second heart, dubbed the Particle Heart, varied from species to species, along with the placement of the reverse scale, in the case of TerraWyrm or the bulk of TerraDraconoids, it was located between the chin and collar, aka the throat.

By taking out the Particle Heart, you could effectively rob the creature of the use of its most important Skill, its breath attack, along with cutting the power of their Talent Skills by more than half, turning the once proud and powerful creature into a primarily physical fighter.

And since TerraDraconoids were naturally all bulk and slow movers, it would make the task of killing them a hundred times easier so long as you were quick enough to dodge the few Meta-Physical Attacks they would throw your way.
