Chapter 218: Civil Conversation
Adrian just glared right back at them.
"Try your best, assholes."
Vaelin just frowned and kicked him hard in the side. The foot caught him right below the ribs.
And while Adrian was curled into a ball, groaning as he clutched his bruised sides, Vaelin squatted down on the ground right beside him.
Adrian slowly turned his head and stared at the high elf’s face.
He saw an opening. So he ignored the pain, twisted his hips, and threw a desperate punch straight at the elf’s groin.
But the moment his hand made contact, there was a sudden shift in Adrian’s expression.
He pulled his hand back in confusion.
But Vaelin didn’t even react. He didn’t wince, didn’t guard himself, and didn’t even blink.
Adrian pulled his hand back. He just stared at his own knuckles in confusion. Then he looked up slowly at the elf’s face.
"You don’t have a dick?" Adrian asked dumbly.
He dropped his gaze back down to the high elf’s crotch.
"You don’t even have balls." Adrian muttered.
"Not me... We do not need an organ like that." Vaelin replied blankly.
Then Adrian looked up at the female high elf standing over them.
"Do the women not have vaginas too?" Adrian asked.
Ilyndra just looked down at him.
"No." she answered. "We do not need one."
Adrian just stared at the two of them for a few seconds, and the two high elves just stared right back at him.
"We are directly born from the World Tree." Ilyndra continued, but tone turned more arrogant. "We don’t really need a reproductive organ to increase our population."
Adrian just stared at them for another few seconds. He was trying to process the weird biology while his brain partially ignored the pain.
"Okay." Adrian groaned. "Forget reproduction... how do you pee?"
Vaelin sighed.
"We don’t really need to pee." he explained casually. "We just use our magic to extract all the toxins out of our body. We don’t need multiple organs working together just to flush out our toxins."
And that was exactly when Adrian looked closer and saw how clear their skin actually was. There were no pores at all. No matter how close he looked, he could tell that there were literally no pores on their skins.
’Fucking hell... the skin part is unfair but I’m glad I still have my family jewels.’
While the three of them were having a "civil" conversation, Aria was flying really, really fast toward the broken wall where the whole fight was going on.
And on the way there, she saw Sigrid.
Sigrid was standing among the dead monsters, panting slightly. And right in front of her was the human who Aria had seen before. Wang Lei was not in his giant werewolf form anymore.
And surprisingly, the wounds that he had on his body right now were just small bruises and tiny cuts. There was no big stab wound on his leg or anywhere else. The massive wound that seemed to be really big at the start when Sigrid stabbed her sword deep into his leg was completely gone.
Aria immediately flew right toward her.
"Lady Sigrid!" Aria yelled. "Please save my father! He’s being attacked by high-level mages!"
Aria pointed desperately toward the direction where Adrian was trapped inside the forest.
And before Sigrid could even ask any questions or try to figure out what was going on, Aria already started speaking again.
"They might just kill my father!" Aria pleaded. "Please help him! Please go there quick!"
And even before Sigrid could say something back to her, she just flew right off.
Sigrid watched the tiny girl rocket away. Then she looked back toward the forest and hesitated for a couple of seconds. But then she gritted her teeth and sprinted at full speed into the woods.
Aria just sped toward the main group.
And on her way, she saw that the monsters were actually running back toward the forest.
’Should I fight them... if they get to papa, it’ll be bad...’ she thought, but after a second, she shook her head.
’No, don’t get distracted. Let’s get help as soon as possible.’
She ignored them and continued flying forward until she reached Draven.
She immediately told Draven the exact same thing.
"Uncle Draven!" Aria yelled. "Please help my father! He’s being beaten up by the people inside the forest! Please help him!"
And then, before Draven could even say anything, she looked over at the soldiers. The specific elite soldiers who came from Oresfall.
"March!" Aria commanded them. "Run toward the forest! Save my father! Save the Lord of Oresfall!"
The soldiers immediately went into a stiff attention position. And even though they were already tired from all of the fighting that they did until now, they just started running straight toward the forest.
Aria looked back at Draven.
He was already running. He had already overtaken all of the soldiers and was sprinting toward the woods.
So Aria also started flying again. She flew really quick and overtook the soldiers easily. She overtook Draven a few seconds later and after flying for a little while, she even saw Sigrid who was still running, and she flew past Sigrid too.
Soon, she reached the exact place where Adrian was before she left.
He was still there, but she just stopped flying completely.
She hovered in the air and stared at what was going on down below.
Adrian’s legs were broken. And it was not just in one or two places. It was almost like his legs were limp, wet noodles.
And his hands... his whole arms, they were also in the exact same condition. His whole shirt was bloodied. His pants were bloodied. And his face was completely red and bleeding from the beating.
She just stared. She watched as the two high elves just kicked Adrian around on the ground.
It was not powerful, strong kicks. It was almost like they were just casually playing with his body.
And Adrian wasn’t responding at all. There were no movements from him.
Aria’s hands trembled.
She slowly lifted her arm up. A glowing magic circle formed right in front of her palm, and then it began to spin rapidly.
