Chapter 219: Take Me To Papa
Two glowing magic circles appeared right next to Vaelin and Ilyndra.
And the very next moment, another magic circle appeared right behind Aria.
This specific magic circle immediately began shooting out thick icicles, but it didn’t shoot them at the elves. The icicles shot straight up towards the massive mana circle that was already floating right on top of her head.
The elves caught on to what was going on by then. They saw the magic circles floating right by their heads.
And they scrambled to get out of the way.
Aria watched them panic. She could literally see the raw terror flood their eyes. She literally watched them try to move away from the magic circles, but she wasn’t going to let them go so easily.
The magic circles just followed right behind them.
And to their surprise, these magic circles just disappeared into thin air.
Before the high elves could even think about what was going on, the magic circles just appeared right behind their backs.
And at the exact same time, the icicles that shot out from the big magic circle behind Aria finally touched the magic circle floating right above her.
They passed straight through the magic circle.
But they didn’t come out of the other side. Instead they came shooting right out from the magic circles that were right behind Vaelin and Ilyndra.
But even though she made the magic circles change their position at point-blank range, the elves still managed to dodge.
Vaelin used all of his energy to just slide forward through the mud. And since his massive body was almost completely horizontal to the ground, the magic circle was right around the level of his waist. The jagged ice flew right through his hair.
A second faster, and that frozen spear would have easily put a hole in his skull.
Ilyndra didn’t even bother dodging. The female elf just turned around and smashed her bare fist right into the incoming icicle, blowing it to pieces.
Aria just kept her eyes on the two of them.
But at the exact same time, another magic circle appeared right above Adrian’s body.
It started spinning around, and it just went downwards. The moment it touched Adrian, it just passed right through him. And the moment the glowing ring touched the ground, Adrian just disappeared from the place.
Aria had moved him to a safer place.
With that done, she just continued staring at the two of them.
"You really like playing with people, don’t you?" Aria mumbled softly.
And then she raised her hand.
"I am in the mood to play right now, too." Aria added.
"Wait! Waitt!" Vaelin yelled. "How can a child like you use Mana Tether? Even eighth circle mages struggle with that!"
Aria didn’t respond.
Vaelin and Ilyndra didn’t see a normal kid. They saw a monster with blood-red eyes. Tears streaked down her pale cheeks, and she just stared at them with a chilling, hollow look. It was the kind of look someone gives the men who just butchered their family.
Aria changed the magic circle behind her, which was originally the icicle spell.
The massive magic circle that was spinning on top of her head floated down. It moved to hover right in front of her and then, she put her hand out.
And while she was looking straight at the two of them, a thick, blinding lightning bolt shot out of her hand.
It passed through the magic circle in front of her, and came bursting right out of the two magic circles that were still hovering near the elves.
And this time, even though they tried to dodge, they couldn’t.
Ilyndra tried to jump high up into the air to get away from the lightning bolt. And it worked at the start, at least in her eyes. The lightning just went straight, and Ilyndra was high up, a few feet above the lightning bolt.
But to her surprise, the lightning just arced upward.
It happened so quick that Ilyndra didn’t even have a chance to react or pull up a mana shield. It hit her square in the chest and she was nothing but dead meat at this point.
And Vaelin’s situation was no better.
He tried to dodge by dashing hard to the side. But the difference between Ilyndra and his situation was that the magic circle that was shooting lightning out basically teleported right in front of him.
The lightning hit him square in the face. He already had his mana shield active, but it shattered in an instant.
Aria just continued staring at them.
But this time, instead of clear tears, dark blood started coming out of her eyes. The tiny veins on her head were bulging out. One could literally see them pulsing on her forehead and on her temples.
She just continued shooting the high powered lightning at them.
And after basically just two seconds of doing that, she stopped and panted a little.
Meanwhile, the two high elves were just lying on the ground.
Their expensive, elegant clothes were burned to ashes. They were just down there completely naked in the ground, and their hair was also gone.
Both of them were bald.
There was no elegance of the high elves to be seen in them anymore. Covered in black soot and burns, they looked more like fair-skinned, extremely tall goblins with ear mutation instead.
Aria just looked down at them from the sky.
The two of them turned their bald heads to look at each other really slowly. And before Aria could even do anything else, they just disappeared from that place. They teleported away and Aria could tell that they did.
Aria didn’t go after them. She just turned her head and looked towards the north east direction.
But she stayed put.
Then she just let floated down. Her feet touched the ground, and she immediately flew low, heading straight back to where the Oresfall army was marching from.
And on the way, she saw Sigrid.
The exact moment she saw the knight, Aria just fell from the sky and Sigrid rushed forward in a panic and caught her perfectly.
Aria just looked up at Sigrid with her bloody eyes.
"Take me to my Papa." Aria whispered. "He should be near Uncle Draven."
