Windsor Myres couldn’t help but laugh softly, "Then it’s settled. I’ll go downstairs and apologize to my mom, you go ahead and take a shower."
"Okay." Camden River hung up the phone.
Seeing the call end on the screen, he felt quite relieved at heart.
He tossed the phone onto the pristine white hotel bed and stepped towards the bathroom.
Windsor Myres tossed her phone aside as well.
Feeling idle.
Hasn’t it always been this way between her and Cherry Lewis all these years? Wake up tomorrow morning and just carry on, no need for apologies.
Camden River is just overthinking it.
But—
Windsor Myres kicked off her shoes and leaned against the headboard, seriously contemplating Camden River.
In truth, she’s been thinking about Camden River a lot these past two years, often recalling various moments of them being together.
When Camden River first got together with her, he definitely didn’t like her, but eventually the two ended up together. It seemed there were two reasons: she was happy to be sweet to him, gentle and obedient, and Camden River had a bit of a complex.
She was his first woman, and such a clean and innocent guy probably had this kind of complex.
He couldn’t possibly forget her; what they call lack of love is merely emotional restraint.
He agreed to break up, probably because he felt his male pride was challenged.
This was different from how things started between them.
Once they were together, his tolerance for being forced decreased, he liked girls who were obedient and gentle, who went along with him.
Since that’s the case, she might as well go along with him, she was willing to accommodate him.
As long as he liked it.
Windsor Myres let her thoughts wander, and couldn’t help but pick up the phone again.

After a while, she thought of Talia Tong’s situation again.
Feeling quite depressed.
She was really worried about this, with Talia Tong’s personality, if not telling Camden River, would she tell someone else, like Mina Lee?
Mina Lee saw what happened outside the bathroom, she might ask about it after the party?
Windsor Myres sat on the bed holding her phone for a while, then decided to call Mina Lee to see what’s going on.
Mina Lee was, of course, surprised to see her call, and asked in surprise, "Windsor Myres?"
"It’s me." Windsor Myres said blandly, "Thank you for today."
"Thank me?"
"Yeah, thanks for pairing me up with Camden River during the game. Us being back together has a bit to do with your requests."
"No need, I didn’t do it for you." Mina Lee’s voice sounded very indifferent.
But Windsor Myres felt relieved, said her goodbye, and hung up the phone.
Leaned back on the bed and continued to play with her phone.
Too bored.
Flipping through her contacts again, she dialed Mia Ginger.
After a while, it finally connected, she asked, "You’re not home yet, are you?"
"You got home?" Mia Ginger asked her.
"Yeah, called just to tell you, I thought you’d be home by now too." Windsor Myres said softly.
"Almost there, I’m driving, so I’ll talk to you later."
"Hold on." Windsor Myres sat up holding the phone, "I’m a bit nervous, what should I do? I’m feeling quite excited, Camden River just said he’s okay with me seeing him off tomorrow morning, I think he quite likes me, right? You said he’s been busy like a spinning top, do you think, uh, he’s keeping himself busy to avoid thinking about me, isn’t he?"
Listening to her, Mia Ginger pulled the car over.
Suddenly recalled the moment at the beginning, the scene between the two of them in the dormitory at school.
