Chapter 983: Chapter 1010: My Princess (4)
Windsor Myres and Camden River have made good progress, she’s in a good mood and stays up late, chattering away.
Right now, it’s quite similar.
Her nature is quite selfish, but when it comes to Camden River, it’s just because of love.
Love makes people tender, sorrowful, vulnerable, anxious.
Windsor Myres, eager for confirmation, is actually no different from an ordinary girl, Mia Ginger just smiled, "I guess so, didn’t you say it yourself? He said he still has feelings for you, just focus on being together moving forward, don’t overthink it."
"Yeah, I’m sorry to let you see me like this, but I have no one else to tell, don’t laugh at me."
"I won’t," Mia Ginger said with a gentle smile, "I’m happy that you’ve figured things out, Camden River is great, cherish him well."
"Of course I will," Windsor Myres replied and then changed the subject, "But you both studied abroad for two years, surely he listens to you more or less, next time you talk, don’t forget to say some good things about me..."
Mia Ginger paused, listening to her slightly pleading tone, only felt surprised.
Besides being surprised, she felt a bit sad and comforted her, "Don’t overthink things, when he chose to break up before going abroad, it must’ve been considering both of you, after all, two years isn’t short, many variables could arise. He might have wanted to give you both a chance to calm down, don’t worry too much."
Windsor Myres was silent for a moment, "What about you?"
"Eh?"
"Do you still consider me a friend?" Windsor Myres asked her, "You prefer Toni Peterson more, right?"
"Ah?" Mia Ginger’s brain momentarily froze.
Windsor Myres spoke softly, "I heard from someone last time that Toni Peterson moved to Cloudy Capital, I know you and Koa Jackson also live there, you must bump into each other occasionally, I just, um..."
Windsor Myres chuckled lightly, "Forget it, never mind."
Mia Ginger thought for a moment, then said thoughtfully, "I get what you mean."
"Does it make things difficult for you, after all, we’re not related, I don’t seem to have the right to ask you to be friends with anyone."
"That’s not it," Mia Ginger said with a gentle smile, "Love is like drinking water, only you know its warmth. Even if I’m a bit closer to Camden, I wouldn’t try to influence his thoughts. Besides, Toni Peterson already has a boyfriend, you’re thinking too much, there’s no possibility between them."
"I feel like I’m just troubling myself," Windsor Myres said with a hint of hesitation in her voice, "I wasn’t like this before, never cared about Toni Peterson. But over these past two years, I’ve thought a lot, maybe out of boredom, often letting my thoughts wander. I think what you said back then was quite right, Toni Peterson may not be the best, yet she does seem more suitable for Camden River than me."
"It’s not like that," Mia Ginger was slightly self-reproachful and quickly said, "I said those things back then just to provoke you. You kept pressuring Camden too much. You were happy, but you never really considered his feelings. I just wanted you to feel some sense of crisis and be more understanding of him, nothing else. In love, it’s not just about suitability, the most important thing is love itself; without love, there’s no point discussing anything else."
Windsor Myres smiled, "You were really looking out for me, huh?"
"Yeah," Mia Ginger sighed in relief, "Stop overthinking, get some sleep early, I’m heading home now."
"Alright, take care on the road."
"Okay, goodbye."
Mia Ginger hung up the phone, breathing a sigh of relief.
The phone had barely been put down when Koa Jackson called, asking, "Still on the road?"
"Yes."
"Pull the car over."
