Chapter 423: FATHER’S DAY SPECIAL 6: Hunting a Colossal Longneck
"Hmph. Our mothers are old fashioned, washed off and forgotten relics," Kynos coldly replied, her voice dropping to a dismissive register. "Let us carve our own path, Tzadok-sama! We do not need to follow the outdated rules of people who are not even young anymore!"
Ouch, on behalf of all our mothers.
"Very well. If you insist, I would reconsider after you have confessed a billion times," I waved my hand dismissively, not taking her seriously at all.
I mean, it was an impossible number, a goal that would take lifetimes to achieve, and I was confident that she would never reach it.
"You swear?" Her voice perked up with sudden hope, and I could feel her excitement radiating through her grip.
"Hm? Yeah, something like that..." I answered casually, not realizing the demon I was talking to was actually getting ready to pass the test I set.
I had no idea that she was already counting confessions, already planning her strategy to reach that ridiculous number.
Instead, I was thinking about the wild game that would serve as meat for the festival.
The logistics were already churning in my mind—the hunting, the preparation, the cooking, the serving.
There was so much to organize, so many details to attend to.
After all, our father has many children in many parts of the world, that disgraceful skirt-chaser!
He has spread his seed far and wide, creating a vast and scattered family that spans continents and realms.

How immoral!

This was the second day of our preparation to celebrate the unfortunate pervert that gave birth to us.
The first day had been spent on planning and logistics—assigning tasks, gathering supplies, sending out messages to those siblings who were free and close enough to attend.
But now came the real work: the hunting.
"Are you sure about this, Tzadok-sama?" Kynos asked cautiously, floating beside me high in the sky.
Her bunny ears were fluttering against her head by the wind, and her peach kimono billowed around her small frame as she hovered in the air beside me.
We were far above the treetops, looking down at the vast expanse of the Wilds below.
"What do you mean?" I snickered, opening my right eye just a little bit; just enough that one would not even notice if they were not looking closely.
The world came into a little sharp focus for a fraction of a second, the colors and details real and clear, before I closed it again. "Are you saying I cannot defeat that pile of hard flesh?"
Far below us, an enormous beast grazed lazily on the vegetation of the Wilds.
It was 130 feet tall if it was an inch, its massive body dwarfing the trees around it.
Its silhouette was clearly the body of an anteater, bulky and powerful, with a long, sweeping snout and powerful claws.
But its neck was something else entirely; absurdly long, like that of a giraffe, stretching high into the air to reach the leaves of the tallest trees.

It moved slowly, deliberately, its huge bulk shaking the ground with every step.
The beast was called a [Colossal Longneck], a type of herbivore with the body of an anteater and it’s neck like that of a giraffe.
It was one of those weird creatures that resembled Mother Violette in the most superficial way possible.
Except Mother Violette was just too abnormal by even abnormal standard.
This monster was actually a normal species of monster, a regular part of the ecosystem that followed predictable patterns of behavior.
And its meat tasted good any how you prepared it, even raw; a fact that had been discovered by our mothers, who often hunted these enormous beasts for their delicious flesh.
But it weighed a lot more than its already big size suggested. Its skin was hard, a dense armor that protected it from the attacks of predators.
Only the deep inner flesh was soft and edible, hidden beneath layers of muscle, sinew, and bone.
It was thousands of times harder than diamond, so tough that the creature never ran away from many predators.
It simply stood its ground, confident in its invulnerability.
We only know the flesh is good because monsters like our mothers hunt them pretty easily.
They have the strength, the skill, and the equipment to pierce that hide and reach the succulent meat within.
And now... it was my turn.
But here Kynos was underestimating my ability to slay it.

I could feel her hesitation radiating from her small frame as she floated beside me, her bunny ears twitching with barely concealed anxiety.
She had seen me fight before, had witnessed my power on countless occasions, and yet she still doubted me.
It was irritating, honestly, the way she always second-guessed my capabilities, always assumed I was about to make a catastrophic mistake.
"Not that, Tzadok-sama," she said, pulling out the slim curved sword from a space storage; a sleek weapon with a blade that seemed to shimmer with an otherworldly light, its edge honed to a razor’s sharpness that could cut through almost anything.
The sword materialized in her hand with a soft shimmer, the space around it rippling briefly before settling. "I was referring to the thing on your palm... Are you sure about that? It looks unstable. Like it could slip out of your control at any moment."
The thing?
Oh, she meant this miniature, pseudo-black hole I was forming on my palm.
I looked down at it, at the swirling vortex of compressed space that danced in the center of my hand.
It was beautiful, really: a tiny sphere of absolute darkness that seemed to drink in the light around it, bending reality to its will.
The air around it shimmered with heat and distortion, and I could feel the weight of its created gravity pulling at my fingers.
"Of course, I’m sure!" I nudged her a bit, a playful shove that was meant to reassure her, but I felt her tremble from the way I almost lost control of it.
The black hole wobbled for a moment, its edges flickering dangerously, before I steadied it with a focused thought. "I have it under control... I think."
